I am right with you, Katmandu and srmom...

My thoughts on Vienna -
The girl has two facial expressions: the "smiling, never swallows her spit or moves her mouth while she is talking" face and the "pouty, sad eyes everyone is dissing me" face.
My other pet peeve is the way she talks, " Ooh I'm so excited I get a see Jake tonight." Seriously, is that normal? "I get a" instead of "I get to" ?

And while I am on a roll...what was up with her outfit when Jake came to visit? Cutoffs and a babydoll top? Is she 16??!

I'll say it. I thought Vienna and her family seemed a little...white trash. And then I read that her mom used to be a stripper and her dad is a tire salesman. Now, that's fine and all, but before that the show was giving the impression that she was from a family of privilege, which doesn't seem true. If she's from a blue collar family, which is perfectly fine, it makes me even more sickened that she seems to fancy herself a princess who should get a new car from her daddy every time she wrecks one. It doesn't seem like she appreciates all her dad probably has to do to pay for all those new cars for her.

Oh, and let me say this: As someone who used to date a commercial airlines pilot, I would never marry one. At least not a hot one. I believe it was Vienna who asked about the "a girl in every port" thing, but whomever asked it asked a good question. Pilots get a ton of side action due to all the traveling and staying in hotels. Many of them hook up with flight attendants. Just too many opportunities to be bad. I don't know that I would trust one.

I haven't watched this much this season, but watched it tonight. I have to say, it seems like he couldn't have two more different women in his final 2. I'm surprised he sent this one home tonight. And the whole Ali thing? Seemed sooooooooo fake.

Vienna = Vomit

I know everyone seems to think, based on the blogs, that Vienna is the one he picks. But, I have to believe that he would not have kept Tenley if he didn't really think she might be the one because of her ex-husband situation and worrying he would hurt her by keeping her around.

If he is looking for marriage material - Tenley
If he is looking for sex and a lot of drama - Vienna

srmom 02-16-2010 11:15 AM

My husband was so funny last night. Every time he saw Vienna he would neigh like a horse and stomp his foot. He's obviously not very impressed with her looks ;) It also looks like she's put on a few lbs during "the journey".

We both think he will pick her because he is stupid. Period. Good luck with the drama - I give this one 2 months TOPS.

I'm looking forward to the looks of horror from his family when they see her lovely tattoo on her hip - not even a tasteful tramp stamp, it's up front for all to see... But, hey, maybe they're into that? Who knows?

Yeah, I was thinking maybe we'll all be surprised by his family. Maybe they're white trash too. It could be a match made in heaven.

Why Jake and Vienna are Meant 2 B

For every Ken Doll with no b*lls, there is a Plastic Boob/Personality Barbie. This just may be the perfect ending to the story Mattel has been trying to create over and over again in our minds. Can we really wrong this couple now? Think about it..

BF and I both gasped at Vienna's outfit for the hometown date.

On another note, I feel like Jake doesn't deserve Tenley. She was in a marriage that ended because of her husband's infidelity, but Jake is dragging her around on this journey where he is "falling in love" with several women. I realize that she signed up for it, but I feel like she deserves so much better.

Props to Gia for how she handled herself with Jake after not receiving a rose.

I couldn't help but think that the squeaky wheels got the grease last night. Those that said "I love you!" the most emphatically got roses. Vienna was throwing herself at him, quite literally, and Tenley was also pretty open about it. I think that's the main reason Gia got cut. Which is funny, because I swear this happens in every season. Whomever can't "open up" (read: say I love you) as much as the others will get sent home. Whomever is the most open is usually picked. Maybe Jesse/DeAnna would be the exception, he was slow to say it. But otherwise that seems to be a big piece of the criteria. I'm sure some of it is because you're trying to pick between several people and you need to know someone's really there for you... but if they're smart and just want to win, wouldn't they just lie to keep coming back? I don't know.

I do think that Vienna & Jake seem to have the most ease around each other. During his commentary he kept mentioning how immature she was- but that he could help her mature. Maybe he wants a project? They seem to be better oddball friends than a couple. And srmom, my husband agrees with yours on her looks.

I wonder who will be the next Bachelorette. I feel like they're setting Tenley up for it, making her America's sweetheart. I'd love to see Gia in it but I'm not sure she'd be "open" enough or if America fell for her as much as Tenley. Who knows. I'll watch either way!

I think Allie will be the next Bachelorette after all of this drama.

Oh, good call. They've definitely been keeping her front & center. Although they started out painting her as the b*tch, so I wonder how well that would go over. She redeemed herself later on (or the edit redeemed her?) so maybe.

I wish they'd just start fresh and bring in someone new. This rehashing of rejects is getting old. I wouldn't mind bringing back somebody booted early on, because you hardly have formed an opinion of them, but once they've "fallen in love" with the protagonist, it just seems fake that they are ready to "take another chance" to find their spouse on national TV.

as for Ali: I wish he'd not pick either Tenley or horseface and go searching for Ali while riding a streetcar, red rose in hand, with "I Left My Heart In San Francisco" playing in the background. Now, that would be "The MOST dramatic rose ceremony EVER!" :)

Ditto on the bringing back rejects thing. Does anyone else feel like he doesn't pick EITHER of them? I know they purposely make the previews all dramatic, but both girls were quoted saying these negative things. Hmmm...
