Do we have an epilogue to this story? Did Katie hook up again? Did Chris answer his phone? Did Mom and Dad read the upload?

So many questions to be answered. Watch what happens....

Me too and then I was wondering why jojapeach would do such a thing.

LOL Glad I'm not alone!

I just showed my sister and I said "This is so out of my league. I'd never do you like that," and she said, "Oh yes, you would." She reminded me of the time she wouldn't let me do something, so I told Mom she had a boy in her room overnight when she and dad went out of town.:eek::eek::eek::eek:

Is it wrong that I was shocked but also felt a secret swell of pride? I clearly had a lot of guts when I was 4-years-old.

His actions though may very well have destroyed her ability to even function in school and revealing something like this has probably destroyed any chance of their ever having a decent relationship in the future. Most siblings have fights or tattle on each other over the course of their childhood but get over it as adults and become more close. I can't see these two ever getting past this though. As funny as it was at first, when I really sit and think about it, it's a life changing move on the brother's part.

These were my thoughts exactly. If my brother did this to me, I don't think I could have any type of relationship with him.

It was also an embarrassing thing to do to the guys listed on that piece of paper.

I doubt this incident will have any lasting impact after she graduates in a few months. Things like this happen all the time. Thinking back on my own high school experience, the contents of private journals made their way into the public eye, but those girls were fine after graduation.

I think both of these CHILDREN need to grow up. Why would you rat out your sibling like that? So sad. While my brother and I had a love-hate relationship growing up, we'd never do anything like this. We'd just fight each other, drawing blood...breaking bones, etc. It's bad, but better than this underhanded mess.

Were you in high school during the Internet era and was the public eye millions of people across the globe?

I wasn't in high school during the Internet era and we didn't have private journals made public. Even if we did, there's a difference between a local embarassment and an international embarassment.

Well, they are children and they are growing up in the stupidity that is the Internet generation.

These children are both basket cases. I hope the parents take this as a sign that things are out of control in that household.

I would talk to my brother about his drinking and tell him I was worried about him--assuming sneaking beer into the room means he's sitting around and basically binge drinking. I never believed in underage drinking, so I'd tell my parents if I felt it was something they should become involved in.

It's facebook though, so the scope is limited. What we're seeing doesn't have the full names, so someone had the presence of mind to protect those involved before posting it where millions of people would see it.

Unless it gets picked up by a news site or blasted on the front page of Yahoo, it'll blow over.

ETA: Maybe the girls in my high school were worse than most, but there were several "major" events that threatened the social life of various girls such as pregnancies, STDs, drunk sex, publicizing of private information, etc. What this kid posted on facebook seems pretty tame to me.

LOL facebook isn't limited in scope and this stupidity has been posted on a bunch of message boards. No one can control the outcome from there.

Last names were protected but people who have no lives and care enough could find out who these kids are. Such is the Internet era.

The betrayal by the brother would be difficult for me to get over if I was the sister. What he did to her was way worse than her ratting on him to their parents. It was a very cruel thing for him to do, and he is presumably the older sibling.
