Ok?

Meaning if the parents were sent out to pick their own switches, then the switches would be used ON THEM (the parents).

Meaning the parents should be whipped.

This kid reminds me of my nephew (who, by the way, I'm pretty sure is possessed by the devil). *Shudders*

Also, I read that charges are being filed. GOOD.

The parents have turned themselves in for questioning and criminal charges are forthcoming.

But Sheriff Jim Alderden didn't say who would be charged or what the charges would be. His deputies later showed up at the Heene's Fort Collins home with a search warrant and at least three of them began a search. Sgt. Ian Stewart declined so say what they were after.

Alderden didn't call Thursday's hours-long drama a hoax, but he expressed disappointment that he couldn't level more serious charges in the incident, which sent police and the military scrambling to save young Falcon Heenehttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/2.gif as millions of worried television viewers watched.

I wish the parents got fined for all of those resources deployed to save the kid.

And I think the parents should be required to enroll in a "How NOT to be a moron" class :)

Just a quick update: The Larimer County Sheriff's office is filing misdemeanor charges against the parents, and while this article says the Sheriff's office is not considering it a hoax, I heard recently they changed their position and declared it a hoax.

If it is definitely a hoax like they're thinking it probably is, then it's really pretty infuriating. An entire airport was shut down, the Air National Guard helped, all the manpower and money and taxmoney... So their weirdo family could get publicity so that TLC would give them a reality show. Shameless. My boyfriend made the good point that they way we all see people get so wealthy from reality shows (Jon and Kate being the best example ever) it's hard to blame people for trying to take that route- but use your own resources to do it...

end rant

So, it looks like a hoax.

Is anyone surprised?

nikki1920 10-19-2009 03:14 PM

No. Not at all. Once the kid said, "You said it was for the show," I was done. Was that all really necessary?

Seriously? I didn't see any of the interviews so I didn't know that.

On a different note, what kind of parents names their kid something like falcon?

Can we change the title of this thread to: On to another stupid parent story!!!

As soon as I heard about the appearances on "Wife Swap," and the general nuttiness, I knew it was kind of hoaxy. Color me a cynic!

NO JOKE!!

If I'd known it at the time, I would have named it that!!

These parents should be locked up and heaven help those poor kids. Odds are pretty great that they are going to grow up to be lunatics unless someone intercedes.

Angry, mostly. I hope they receive maximum fines and sentencing.

And I really hope they don't get a television show... or any more publicity beyond news updates about their trials.

Ugh

Kevin 10-19-2009 06:32 PM

The court should put all of the money earned by the family for this thing into a trust account for the kids... not to be disturbed until they're as old as Colorado lets those things sit.
