I have never heard of a DG and XO connection. However, I have heard that the man who helped with the founding of XO was a Kappa Sigma; his name was Dr. Charles Richardson.

And DG did have one male initiate: George Banta who was also a Phi Delta Theta.

And so, it would appear that DG and XO has historical connections to other orgs, though not to each other.

ktsnake, you forgot to mention that a Sigma Nu brother helped found Alpha Xi Delta, something which is readily mentioned in AXiD literature.

But yes, the blackfoot story is one of my favorite Sigma Nu stories and one of the reasons I was proud to pledge

I did forget that.

We also had a brother who helped in the founding of Sigma Tau Gamma on some level. It's discussed at length (I think) in the Sig Tau forum.

Also, one of ADPi's founders was roomates with one of Phi Mu's founders!

The only historical connection that I know of for AXiD is:

The founders choose Double Blue as the colors for when the went national and would join Kappa Kappa Gamma

And we were also founded because our founders didn't feel that PiPhi(the only sorority at Lombard College at the time) was right for them.

Reportedly so that LXA helped and incouraged the Founding of TKN which later merged in 1939 with LXA.

The two started out seperately as a Un and State College groups.

But in the Merger which is still the largest in GLO history was a perfect fit.

Parts of the TKN Badge was incorporated with the LXA New Associate pin and part of the TKN Ritual is used as the New Member Association Ceremony.

Some parts were also incorporated into the LXA Coat of Arms such as the Lion Rampant and an open motto.

Not to funny is it that Greeks even back when were working and helping Greeks.:)
