Cleavage - not a problem at all, unfortunately.
Length of dresses - usually a problem because I'm tall (long torso, long legs). My mom says I'm lucky but when a short dress comes mid-thigh I know that probably won't work for recruitment. Knee length or an inch above the knee ok? I realize I can find a slightly longer dress and have it hemmed. Nails - I have acrylic nails with a french manicure. The nails are fingertip length. Are acrylic nails ok or is natural with a manicure better? Maybe these seem like superficial questions but I realize first impressions make a difference. Like my mom says "you only have one chance to make a first impression". See, mom, I was listening. |
length of dress: I'm not sure if you are talking about pref or not. However, this length would be okay.
http://www.passwedding.com/blog/wp-c...il-Dress-1.jpg This length I'd stay away from: http://www.todress.net/img/cocktail-...for-a-more.jpg The nails are fine. French manicure with acrylics would be fine so long as they look clean and neat. If they look like talons (seen it), you may want to think of shorter in length. |

Nails I think is a depends on where you are? I think your ok on the acrylic as long as they are a sport or shorter length. If your in the South?? IDK? Your right about first impressions. Those first round of parties are so short. Take advantage of the time you have. Practice your communication and have some questions if you get stuck with a gal who may not be as good as communicating as you are or if there is a awkward pause. |
Thank you for your feedback.
I just discovered the womens section for length alone. When I try a junior dress I look like wcsweet's second picture or even shorter. I may get the acrylics removed so I don't have to maintain them in college. Conversation skills - thank goodness for ASB interviews, elections, cold calling coaches, and my mom making me look outside my comfort zone. All those life lessons seem to be coming back to help me now. I hope. |
