"I have never heard of that. I have PCOS and was put on Metformin.

As a rule, Clomid will not produce that many eggs. I am wondering if she used injectables without a doctor's supervision. IUI or timed sex with injectables have more of a chance of multiples

Obviously she does not have fertility problems. Most RE's (reproductive endocrinolgists) would not have touched her with a 10 foot pole" from Jill.

Different doctors offer the process of the ovary freezing process (I misquoted myself when I said egg). It just depends on the insurance being willing to pay or if the person/couple wants to independently pay.
Yeah, I was put on Metformin too but it made me sick, so I went back to Glucophage. Don't take anything now.

Looks like she trying to sell her story to Oprah and Diane Walters for $2 million.

Right! The odds of her getting pregnant with that many kids naturally are astronomical.

I wonder if they're projected to have normal development (cognitively, physically, etc).

I remember there was a woman who gave birth to 7 kids on TLC a while back. I think like 4 of hers had some level of physical/congitive impairments (near blindness, needing speech/physical therapists, etc).

If any of her 14 kids DOES end up with a physical/cognitive problem, she's not going to have the time or the energy to deal with it well and get the kid proper treatment. And from what I've read, she won't be able to afford proper treatment, either.

I do believe one of the articles mentioned that one of her children is autistic.

I don't have an autistic child, but from what I understand they require QUITE a bit of one-on-one interaction to ensure they're functioning as well as they can be.

Somebody said earlier that most states require a better ratio of caregivers to kids than this family will have. I think that's pretty telling.

Ahhh, I just came in here to post this.

She should put some/all of them up for adoption, since she's obsessed with HAVING the kids, not so much obsessed with raising them.

Seriously though. I have heard more from that woman about the corporate assistance they're NOT getting, the selling of her story, etc. that it makes me wonder if she just wanted the attention and the $$.

Whats with all the hair, though?

SWTXBelle 02-01-2009 07:56 PM

I think some of that is not hair, but is stretch marks. Stretch marks can stay kinda dark - alas.
