My wait was about 40-45 minutes. I went around lunchtime Thursday and the lines moved fast. I was very pleased with the process.

I wish I was like AKA2D and sleep late on Election Day. Instead, I will be working for the Obama campaign for the whole day (and part of the night).

Charleston will be having a Get Out The Vote rally Tuesday afternoon and our special guest will be Phylicia Rashad. :D

For those of you who have voted, what was your wait time?

Now, I can stay out late on Nov. 3rd and sleep in on Nov.4th :D

My wait time was about 5 minutes...I was lucky because I came right after the machines were back up so there was only about three other people there voting.

Regarding the McPalin situation....that's why people need to do their research FIRST because if they had, her lack of "fundamental" knowledge would have been of no surpise. Scheming gets you no where....it will catch back up with you sooner or later...

The rally was today and I did get to meet Phylicia! She was very nice. :D The AKAs also made a presentation.

My wait was about 20 minutes. (that was on a Saturday afternoon about 2 weeks ago.)

whoa, whoa, what is this "sleep in" you speak of? I figured you'd be out organizing car pools, helping the elderly or the growing crowd of AKA2D fans get to the polls? :)

sleeping in? I think not. :p

I saw her on a women's issue commercial yesterday. She is georgeous. I mean, I remember the "foine-ness" from the Cosby show, but I must say girlie is still holdin' it down. :p:)

I voted a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday, and I think that I waited about 20 minutes.

BTW: I have also met Soror Phylicia and she is gorgeous in person.

My wait was 20 minutes.

I'm hoping I can work the polls on Election Day. I'll also have a small election party at the crib. Hopefully, it will be cool enough in Houston for some gumbo. :D

Why, I'm sure Joe the Plumber, Ed the Farmer, Bob the Builder, Fred the Farter or whomever can relate to spending that on clothes.

I did not have a wait. I voted absentee ballot. Spent the entire time online looking at all of the candidates' websites and their opponents' (even in the cases where the opponent didnt make it past the primaries) so I could ensure that I'm not voting for any idiots. I think I may have written in half of my ballot. Sad.

The weather is always right for gumbo. Can a bowl of gumbo be sent my way please? Awesomeness.

I voted yesterday and my wait was about an hour and 45 minutes. There were many who came in and left once they saw the line. I just hope those people will try again.

What does everyone think of Obama's 'infomercial'?

I liked the infomercial. I think it made Barack's plans completely plain and clear. By using the stories of random Americans it allowed people to see how Barack's policies would affect their daily lives. Since at this point there really aren't any "undecided voters" (there are idoits and there are people who just wont tell who they're voting for) the infomercial helped spread knowledge to people who might not have known his policies otherwise. Some people only watch Fox and only get the Hannity/O'Riley veiw of Obama. I think it was good for him.

my first thought was of team mccan't thinking: "damn, i wish we had that kinda money to spend:mad:"
then i thought about how impactful those 30 min. were. a great move, no doubt about it.

I voted Tuesday. My wait was an hour... not too bad. Some are waiting for 6-8 hours in Atlanta (when the computers go down).

I was so proud to cast that vote for my old prof. I am still amazed at what he has done.

This is a poor attempt to miseducate the masses of people. I hope that the American public realizes this and continues to move forward with making a CHANGE in our country. I am appauled at this last-ditch effort and consider it a hit below the belt.

McFool needs to realized that this does not take away from the fact that his own campaign is riddled with contraversy over his poor choice for VP.
