Ohio State quota was 61. According to the advisors that emailed me, total should be reset today or tomorrow and expected to be around 190.

Zeta Tau Alpha begins their recolonization today.

Any word on Alpha Xi Delta?

How long ago did they lift the cap that was set to 100? These numbers are great, and still plenty of opportunity for the system to continue to grow.

Speaking of the system growing, is there housing to purchase or land to build on for when sororities go for the next round of colonization in 2018?

Football Fan,

I count 35 new Kappa Deltas in their Beta class. Exciting time for them. I wish them well.

Recruitment

Thank you.

It is sometimes a surprise to read such large numbers from a winter recruitment. Best wishes to Kappa Delta.

University of Puget Sound just finished their formal recruitment. Quota was 28.
Pi Phi - 30
Kappa Alpha Theta - 31
Not sure on Gamma Phi Beta or Alpha Phi.

Signups were quite a bit lower this year. Wondering if some women are opting to wait for the colonizing group?

When you mention next round for Ohio State, are there NPC groups already stacked or will Ohio State need to open for expansion after Kappa returns?

The last plan I saw in this thread said that Kappa was being invited to present with other groups for the chance to return for Spring 2018, but I do not claim any inside information.

I do not know total but I do know this was an interesting year at Pitt. They switched to deferred recruitment, but of instead of having a lull in 2015 and just start in spring 2016, they decided to have two formal recruitment periods. This new one with the new rules.

Wow, that should be interesting! When I rushed, we had Upperclass Rush in the early fall, followed by Freshman Rush around Thanksgiving. We still had to make grades to be initiated. I'm not completely sure when it changed, but it was when I was an upperclassman.

And while I'm venting, I saw some photos of the ADPi Suite, and was horrified! It used to be so classic!

PHA voted to allow Kappa priority to return if they meet all the requirements they stated they would meet. It would be Spring 2018.

I read the document a few months ago and it still leaves room for PHA to vote them down. If the don't meet all the stated requirements, PHA will open it up for extension. They did not determine if they will open for presentations or offer it to the other NPC chapter that presented.

To the question about housing - Zeta and Kappa still own their houses. I think within 2 years there will be opportunities to purchase housing in prime locations due to the changes in campus housing requirements. Now, students are required to live on campus for the first two years and most sororities are approved to qualify for campus housing. With this requirement, there is less demand for off-campus housing. With hopes, some of the former sorority and fraternity houses will open for purchase and/or tear-down.
