Trying to figure out what I want to do with my career next year, teach same grade/same school, different grade/same school or just move to a new school. We got a new principal this year, in only our second year open and I just dont know...

I'm so sorry, DreamfulSpirit.

I am so heartbroken today. One of my line sisters was notified that her cousin murdered 3 of their relatives this morning. One of the fallen was her cousin (a member of Kappa Alpha Psi). The other 2 were her cousin and aunt, the shooter's own mother and grandmother.

She's absolutely devastated. Please send prayers for her and her family. She had JUST gone to visit last week because her mother may be dying. Her mother is stable so she came home, only to have to return for 3 other funerals.

How sad. Prayers for your sister and her family during this difficult time.

To all:
I read this forum often but have not posted. I want you to know that I send prayers to all of you each time I read. May we all lift each other up.

One of my friends, who's married and just had a baby boy, found out that her son has a disorder that, best chance, will kill him in a year. Well, the parents found out today that their boy is in liver failure, which means he has a much shorter time left.

Please pray for peace for these parents in this difficult time.

I'm so sorry Clarinette, I'll definitely keep them in my prayers.

And hello new sister, I just got initiated yesterday :)

Found out that one of my sisters is in critical but stable condition right now. She graduated in December, recently got her first "big girl job" and broke her foot a few weeks ago. Some blood clots from her foot travelled up to both lungs. She flatlined in the ambulance last night, but they revived her. They've given her blood thinners to break up the clots. She's responsive to sound, but they aren't sure how long she was without oxygen and are expecting that she may have some neurological damage, if she ever fully wakes up.

:(

I'm so sorry. I will pray for her and her family/friends in this difficult time.

Prayers, Amanda, I'm so sorry to hear that.

My grandma's sister (who we are close with as well) could use some good thoughts. I don't know too much just a text from my dad about a half hour ago: "Blood vessels broke in stomach last night, lost a lot of blood, transfusion. At the hospital now".

My husband had a day a few weeks ago that his vision went out in one eye for a full day. We went in to see our normal optometrist who is very, very concerned. We also talked to his brother who is a PhD in pharmacology and researched eyes for many years, who is now also very, very concerned. My husband exercises and overall eats pretty well. He's not overweight, doesn't smoke or drink. I'm sort of a basket case. They both think it could be ischemia. He's only 38. :(

So sorry, summer.

I just want to NOT fall down the black pit of despair aka depression.

If you've never struggled with depression consider yourself blessed.

:(

Praying for you, SWTXBelle.

Lifting you all up in prayer. We all go through ups and downs... just keep trying to find the positives and focus on those. It can be hard sometimes, but it helps. So summer... while that is scary, be glad he didn't ignore that incident. There are meds he can take and things he can do to avoid a more significant adverse health event since he knows there is a problem now. Hugs Belle- Sounds like you're recognizing early symptoms which will help you seek better treatment.

summer_gphib 03-28-2013 09:07 AM

Praying, Belle! Depression is a scary road, but it sounds like you are aware. Get help before you start spiraling. I've been on that path. You are NOT alone.

AGDee-- he's not ignoring it, luckily. But he's not taking it nearly as seriously as I am. I also know his circulation in general is bad, particularly in his feet. They are always ice cold. Hopefully we'll figure something out quickly! :)
