If this turns out to be true...smh.

George Zimmerman's Heroic Car Crash Rescue Appears to Be a Fraud.

In other words, it wouldn't implicate any of their family members, and most likely, none (or very few) of their friends, so they claim it's a person of another race. Making it seem random means that investigators know going in that to find the perpetrator is going to be difficult - if not impossible - and it takes the focus off of the "victim's" life.

Just a thought.

Maybe. But, they're more likely to be believed if they blame a black or Hispanic person, more specifically a black man.

Well, you'll have to be sure to tell him when you start back to school in the Fall.

That's what I get for even slightly trying to give people the benefit of doubt. If it sounds too convenient and too timely, it often is.

I don't think it's part of the reason..it's all of the reason. Pick a random supposed suspect that is totally opposite of you and a total stranger and act like it was a random crime to throw the investigation off of you. It's also normal to forget or not notice facial features of people of other races when under duress so one wouldn't have to worry about having to describe the "suspect" in too much detail either.

What's wrong with what he said?

That was going to be the end of my sentence but I opted for the ellipsis instead.

I'm going to remain skeptical as to the truth of a blog post/news story signed by someone named "Dog Gone."

DrPhil 07-29-2013 10:46 AM

@ Mizeree: There's nothing wrong with what Tracy Martin said. I just have issue with "trendy outrage" and government responsibility to "solve problems". There are multiple institutions that play a role in social outcomes. We have to be prepared to protest and enact change either with or without very much political and government support.

I agree with you about the source. I looked for more reliable sources but couldn't find one. I shall hold off on the "I told ya so."

Yup. The story is pretty much... no... all speculation. E.g., Zimmerman could have been called by a friend who is a police officer or he could have had a police scanner. That all followed up by the harassment of the family who was in the wreck, posting of all of their FB pictures online, harassment of the responding deputy, etc. So much so that they, according to one of the linking sites, actually felt they may have to go into hiding.

George Zimmerman's wife makes 911 call saying that he threatened her with a gun.

I'm not taking the word of a convicted perjurer who may have or thinks she may have a strong incentive to gain the upper hand in a divorce proceeding at face value.
