Name Game!

What was Mary Love Collins' middle name?

a.) Love (duh!)
b.) Catherine
c.) Lou
d.) She didn't have a middle name

Cardinal026 02-20-2007 01:25 PM

No clue, but I'll go with Catherine, since I think it sounds good with Mary. ;)

Now then...was that so difficult?! ;)

Good answer, Cardinal026!

(Yes, "Love" was her maiden name; however, throughout the years, she'd sign her name "Mary Love" and most everyone called her by that double name.)

Hint: The year was 1903 and the alumnae chapter supported a newly formed collegiate chapter in the same city.

A for effort, Berlee!!!

The correct answer is Washington, D.C. On March 4, 1903 both the Phi Alpha collegiate chapter at George Washington Univ. and the Alumnae Chapter in Washington, D.C. were chartered.

BellaBerlee 02-28-2007 05:22 PM

Ohh Ohh Ohh. Can I answer since I'm a florida girl?? :) Then I promise I'll let others have a turn!

Okay, Gamma was the 17th chapter founded so no. Psi Mu (WOOOOO HOOOOOO - thats my chapter if you didnt know) was founded in 98 and Tulane was the 5th (backwards greek alphabet yah..)

So It has to be Theta Theta :) Our buddies in good ole' Tampa!

You got it!!! Hurricane Gladys hit Florida in October 1968 & "re-arranged" the schedule for Theta Theta's installation.

(And I did realize Psi Mu is your chapter!

He was a dentist too, but noooo, not "B."

Your first thought was correct -- a Kappa Sigma badge. :)
