A Poem
To The Chi Omega Beech
Planted by loving hands, fostered with care, Spread your young leaves to the sun, to the air Fearless and free! Symbols we cherish are buried below, Mystic insignia, colors that glow; May our Fraternity grow as you grow, Little beech tree. --Gladys Ames Brannigan, Phi Alpha Trivia Question: This poem, published in 1909, refers to a beech tree planted in honor of Chi Omega. Where was this tree planted? a.) Next to the cornerstone of the Greek Theatre in Fayetteville, AR b.) Mount Vernon, George Washington's home c.)
