I posted about a month and a half ago, about a friend of many friends who is 19, has battled with cancer for 4 years, and was getting ready for brain tumor surgery. They thought the surgery was successful at first, but unfortunately the young woman is now on hospice.

As I mentioned before, I only know the girl very casually, but I'm sitting here fighting back tears about what seems inevitable. Please please please pray for a miracle for this beautiful young girl and her family.

Lauren Feudale, a sister from our Beta Iota chapter (Queens University in Charlotte) died this past Sunday from a car accident. Please send your thoughts and prayers out to her family, friends and the Beta Iota chapter.

The power of prayer seems to have been working in my mother's case. She is stronger, and is probably going to be discharged from the hospital before the end of the week. :) She is going to go into a rehab center.

BTW, the staff on my mother's hospital floor did a very sweet thing for her on her birthday. They brought her a card and a "cake" (actually pudding, as she's on a soft foods diet). I understand that everyone who stopped by that day to care for her wished her a happy birthday. It really cheered her up. :)

I'm so happy to hear about your mom, aephi alum. :) I will keep praying for all the requests in the thread.

Today is my mom's birthday. Reading some of these stories in here makes me so grateful that I still have her. I just can't wait to go hug her as tightly as I can.
