Irish...just wanted to let you know...that first of all, I am so appreciative of your information about the history of sororities at the University of Miami (FL). I was at UM in the early 80's and AEPHI closed their chapter circa 1985. I think your list indicates they are active. They have not been active in years. In fact, DG, ADPi, DPhiE, ZTA, KKG, SDT, and DDD are the only sororities at Univ. of Miami. Not a very strong Greek system as far as sororities go.

Chi Omega Closes at Nebraska - Kearney (Low Numbers)
Sad news: http://eleusis.chiomega.com/news.asp...ngIotaZeta.xml Excerpt: [I]With great sadness, the Governing Council of Chi Omega Fraternity announces the closing of Iota Zeta Chapter of Chi Omega at University of Nebraska at Kearney effective April 27, 2009. After several years of decreasing membership, the chapter finds itself with too many chapter responsibilities and too few members to sustain operations. Membership in Chi Omega is for a lifetime. Therefore, our collegiate members have been given the opportunity to have alumnae status in Chi Omega. . . . [/} |
