I wish it were traditional for there to be a Bride's cake, a Groom's cake, and a wedding cake at a wedding. If that were the case (and I had all the money in the world) I'd have a sackgirl wedding cake of my sackgirl, she's so cute.

Unfortunately, LBP doesn't make live-in drool with teh cute like I do over it, so we probably wouldn't do sackboy-and-girl toppers.

Question for Daemon. Daemon, when I was reading the information about Bane, I also read the information about each comic book. You've read all of those comics? How many comic books do you have? Both DC and Marvel? How do you keep up? And how long have you been reading them? I don't mean to get all "Barbara Walters" on you, lol, but I'm just really curious. I knew you like superheroes, but you know a lot about them.

Oh, and did I ever tell about a guy I met who saw you at that convention? I think I did. If not, I'll have to pm you. It was really funny.

Hulu will do fine I think as long as it focuses on the current shows, Netflix is better for back catalogs. That said, there are a LOT of people without access to broadband internet in this country due to location or income. Even if we don't see heavy metering/usage caps from the current companies, discs aren't going away soon, and only Netflix is really in a position to serve that population. The studios aren't too interested in making streaming available so quickly that people want to stop buying DVDs and BluRays. Streaming BluRay/HD quality is even more bandwidth draining so that's a whole other issue. Having a physical backup of the movies we buy still makes people more likely to buy a disc than just a digital copy. There are just all sorts of issues involved.

So while that may be the eventual direction I don't think that we're going to shift away in the next five years. Netflix itself might, but I think someone else will jump in that gap if so.

Superhero question. Place yourself in a Marvel or DC comic book, and give yourself special powers to fight supervillains. What are your special powers? (Primary and secondary) How do they work? What would you call yourself? This should be fun.:)

I would like to be able to have complete control over gravity, and my secondary power would be to have complete control over atoms. Those would be my superpowers. Oh, and I would call myself, "Gravity Girl". lol :p

With powers like that, I would be able to kick some serious butt.

Funny thing was, I wasn't really into comics during that time and ask most comic geeks, the 90s was really a bad period of time for comic books to the point theindustry almost went under. I did still have a few friends who collected at the time that told me about it. Also there are tons of graphic novels that collected the comics into complete works that tells about the whole Batman getting his back broken thing and how that was a big storyline.

How many comics do I have? I have at least 3 longboxes and 2 very large bins filled now. And most I actually started going through to purge and donate to foster care shelters and to soldiers across seas.

I actually stopped reading comics for almost 20 years and just recently got back into them. As more and more movies are being made 'based on comic heroes' and as some of these movies are butchering some of them, it's a way to keep up with what's going on. Trust me, some things have changes so much.

For instance: A lot of people don't know that Superman and Lois Lane are married, Spider-man and Mary Jane WERE married and by some bizarre incidence, are no longer, Batman and Hulk both have a son. Captain America (and Batman) were recently killed and resurrected and so on. The comics landscape is no longer the good guy stopping the bad guy, saving the day and everyone lives happily ever after. A lot of these stories have so many twists.

And then there are a lot of indie comics that have gotten a lot of attention lately. Wanted and Kick Ass by Mark Millar to name two that were both recently made in to motion pictures. And if you really want to see some serious and sick twists and what it means to be a metahuman, check out The Boys and Chew.

Some friends and I are actually (and I think I posted this already, I don't remeber and too lazy to check right now!) starting a charity dedicated to doig this. Surprisingly a lot of kids don't have access to comics (not as accessible as it was for me when I was a kid) and as much as they see them on TV, I think that by finding ways of getting comics to kids they learn about their favorite characters and also it may generate an interest in reading.

@Drole, yeah thanks for bringing up that broadband point again! I was talking this over with one of my IT friends last night and we both remembered the article that we read last year about 1 in 20 people not having broadband access and how much of this country especially urban areas still lack access.

Just an FYI everybody: Korea and Japan has better broadband access than we do.

While our access to broadband could be better we have a lot more area to cover than most countries we are being compared to. The infrastructure needed to get to that point is gonna cost and we all know someone is gonna want a lot of money for the work.

Very true, but that affects how technology will trend. While some people are buying a new iPhone every time it gets an upgrade, others have never used a computer. That gap is just increasingly widening.

That's a lot to keep up with. I knew about Spiderman. I saw it on a cartoon once. I didn't know about the Hulk and Batman having a son. And I think that's awesome that you're donating your old comics to other people.:)

I love Forza Motorsport. I haven't had as much time to play GT5 on my PS3. Some guys from work have their own racing team on GT5 and they want me to join, but I've been in the middle of several endurance races on Forza instead. I also ordered another 1:18 scale dicast model for my collection. It's a Nissan GTR from Autoart. I saw it, and I had to have it.
