Absolutely LOVED tonight's DH. Eli was SUCH a good guy. Just loved the whole thing.
|
I enjoyed it too, but there were some continuity errors. They showed Lynette being pregnant with the twins and then with Penny during her vignettes with Eli. Then when they did the one with Mary Alice, they said it was two years prior to her shooting herself when he first came to Wisteria Lane and she found something for him to fix. The show started when Mary Alice shot herself and Parker and Porter were more than two years old then.
|
The waterworks started flowing when he was at Mary Alice's house and continued throughout the rest of the show. I think we all need an Eli in our lives.
|
I loved this episode!!!! Beau Bridges is such a good actor!!! One of the best episodes in a while!

It was a good episode! Sad, though. I enjoyed seeing more into the history of the Lane: Edie's gay husband, Lynette's tired uterus, Bree's "perfect" marriage, Susan tossing out Carl, Gabby's self-centeredness, and Mary Alice's suicidal behavior.
I've been watching Sports Night on DVD, which featured both Felicity Huffman and Brenda Strong. It's hilarious to see the two of them stand next to each other! |
I totally forgot about Edie's gay husband.
Bree's perfect marriage: didn't she wear rubber gloves once during sex? |

Anyways, just watched this week's episode and I loved it! I think it was perfect for their 100th (?) episode. |

My TV online guide thingie is saying that the same episode is on this week. I know they said "in two weeks" or something during the last previews, but I hope they're not showing the same episode two weeks in a row!

I don't remember them saying "in two weeks"...though I didn't pay much attention to the end. |
The spoilers show that the next new episode isn't until February 8 :(
January 25 A rerun of "Kids Ain't Like Everybody Else" airs at 10 (9 Central). You might prefer to watch Desperate Housewives compete in the SAG Awards, from 8-10, on TBS or TNT. February 1 Super Bowl Sunday. Desperate Housewives will be preempted by Wipeout. 5-14 (Episode 101) "Mama Spent Money When She Had None" February 8 |
yep, it's the same episode

Susan is really starting to get the best of me. What is with her always sneaking into other people's houses. I like that Mike finally put her in her place about bringing in more money to pay for MJ's school. But, Kathryn's character is getting boring. I liked her so much better last year when she was trying to hide something.
They are really changing Bree's character quite a bit. I'm not sure where they plan to go with it. It surprised me that Lynette would cut corners on the ingredients for the Pizza. With her background in Marketing, you would think she would be very detailed about replicating the dish. So, Gaby is back to a size 0. Like Edie said, "I kind of like you better when you were tubby". I guess I missed something. When did they clear Porter of the charges? All in all, the episode really lacked some spark. I miss Mrs. McCluskey and her sister. |
oooOOoOoOOooo I think it might start getting good with the whole Dave story line!
I agree that Katherine is starting to be so blah. It's a shame Lynette & Bree's friendship is going to be affected by money. |

Characters that are starting to annoy me.... Everyone except Gaby.... The whole scene with Gaby and Edie gave a little bit of sisterly vibe.... "We are here for you, Gaby".... But besides that....utterly boring... |
Porter was cleared during the last episode. Charges were dropped due to lack of evidence.
Susan always does really stupid things and ends up smelling like a rose...it bugs me. And, if you really did do that, wouldn't you wait a couple minutes to make sure the person was in the shower already? Edie and Dave have no chemistry together, if you ask me. Neither do Mike and Catherine. I thought Gabby at boot camp was funny. Bree...I don't think she's changed all that much, she's still controlling and always trying to appear perfect. I'm glad the neighbor told Tom about Dave. I hope someone warns Mike too. |
Dave is one creepy dude. I hope his story line ends before the season's over. I can do without him around.
Loved Gabby and Edie doing the whole boot camp thing. Edie had a "nice" moment too -- I enjoyed it. |
The latest news is the Nicolette Sheridan is leaving this season, so hopefully Dave will be going, too.
Catherine seems a little... off... to me. Like she's a ticking time bomb or something. |
So we all know Edie is leaving the show... and I'm guessing Dave will kill her off.
How do you think he'll do it? |

Dave tries to kill her, she runs out of the house and is hit by an oncoming car. DaffyKD |
i hope she'll at least tell others before she gets killed off :(
|
I didn't see Sunday's episode. Was it new?
|
Yes, it was! Watch it on ABC.com!
|
DaffyKD's spoiler wasn't too far off.
|
Yea... I cannot believe Orson pretty much caused ANOTHER car accident.
Didn't he hit Mike Delfino? And now because he has Little Man Syndrome, he was in the middle of the street from stealing someone causing Edie to hit the pole & subsequently get electrocuted? How does that man sleep at night?! |

To make things worse, the punk just ran off...
|
Does anyone remember Dave saying that Mike Delfino killed his brother in prison and that is why he wanted revenge?
Then it changed to Mike killing his wife/daughter in an accident? |

I know there were a lot of theories floating around that it was Mike since he spent time in prison & did kill someone. I could be way off base though. The episodes were sooooooo spaced out this season, so I probably forgot :) Quote:

eeeeeeep! Dave is going to go after Susan now!!!
|
or at least after MJ. Yikes
They were talking on the radio the other day that someone from DH said that they are still over budget even with getting rid of Nicolette Sheridan's salary and they may have to get rid of another housewife, and that nobody is safe. Hmmm. |

I agree. Honestly, none of them have interesting storylines right now. I did miss today's episode in case that changed. |

I am seriously over this show. I only watch now in hopes that we get something BETTER. |
HELP - 2 weeks ago we were watching and the tornado warnings went off and the TV weatherman cut into programming at the last 5 minutes so I missed some. What happened when all the girls (carrying the urn) went to Trevor's dorm. I saw them knock on the door and he said, "Is my Mom with you?" and then the weatherman cut in. What did I miss? How did he react?
|
He was pretty much cold and uncaring initially. Then Mrs. McKloskey told a story about a conversation between her and Edie during which Edie said that she gave him up because she knew he would grow up better without her because she was a failure as a mom, basically. He did end up thanking for them coming but refused Edie's ashes, so the women scattered them all over Wisteria Lane. It's available to watch on abc.com and may be worth it, if you're into mushy sentimental stuff :)
|
I really hope they speed up the storyline with Dave. It has just been dragging on forever!
