Having a tough time recruiting =/= "ZOMG THIS ORG SUCKS LETS FIND A NEW ONE!!!!!!1!!!!!!!!" NPC chapters that are having a tough time recruiting (and there are tons of them) can't just switch organizations at the drop of a hat - they either improve their recruiting or are closed, and the members can never join another sorority again (effectively). You guys should possibly consider what that means. |

Hm... And while I don't know 33girl personally, when I think of her, the last thing I picture is a cutsey sorority house and Barbie dream car. I imagine her driving the Batmobile. Quote:

New GC GLO: Rho Alpha Beta.
Requirements for membership? I am afraid I'll be an eternal aspirant if I ask. *slinks off to the bleachers, again* |

Kaorin_Kanoe, allow me to ask a question with no ill intent. Strictly curiosity. Were you ever an MCGLO, LGLO, or NPHC interest? Nothing wrong if you were, just curious based on some things that I have noticed.

YOU AIN'T GOOD ENUF FOR RHO ALPHA BETA. YOU DON'T CUSS ENUF FOR RHO ALPHA BETA. YOU DON'T FUSS ENUF FOR RHO ALPHA BETA. But...if you post some good music for another ol skool music celebration, we may accept your application. We need one non-R.A.B. in Rho Alpha Beta for public relations purposes. |

I humbly offer the following for consideration in my application process (this is the public part, right?):
http://youtu.be/RfyFI-4ZsaE It did seem fitting, and I can do those moves, totally. Years of practice it took, but I mastered them. ETA: reaching deep for this one, 1958 to be exact: http://youtu.be/rujNKQ1CHow |

Karamel_Kanoe or whatever is kind of stupid. |

Why, k_s, yes, it's true that KK is dumb as a post with a potty mouth at the top; but it's not nice to point it out since she does a fine job of demonstrating that all on her own.
What was it Honey taught me to say? "bless her heart" or something like that? I think I'll go eat another goo goo supreme now. |

What does one mean by "what rightly belongs to them?" Anyway, sorry I'm late to this one guys. I was out sipping my mimosa under my big beach umbrella on the island of I'm In An NPC Sorority and You're Not. |
They are what's "left over" after the other sororities get the first years.
They are a chapter for the "rejects." They are a chapter for the oppressed who simply want their piece of the pie. As found in peer reviewed journal articles such as "House Bunny," "Mean Girls," and "Never Been Kissed," the rejects watch from a distance but secretly want to be one of the cool kids if only for one day. And those who can, do and those who cannot, join Kaorin_Kanoe's chapter. |

Oh, so you think us ASTs will steal ANYTHING that’s green and gold? Look, I may be a hooker, but I get paaaaaaid! I don’t need to be stealin’ yo Choos. I make it rain.. like the forest.. bitch. Quote:
For the last time, no one stole your damn lipstick! You kiss 33girl’s ass so much, that’s probably the only place you’ve stopped to look for it. |

LOL.
Wait...is this a serious thread? |
Weren't we just talking about KBG in another thread about losing their chapters like this?
|
^^^^It gets talked about in the big expansion thread in Greek Life pretty much everytime a KBG chapter disafiliates from KBG and pursues NPC affilitiation.
|
So this is the stupidity that I end up coming back to...smh. You all will never understand. I don't expect you to.

But, seriously. I think a big mistake GC newbies make, such as yourself, is to assume that GC holds all the answers to your GLO issue(s). We don't. Do we offer suggestions and helpful advice as much as possible, we do. We can not solve your problem for you. We can not give you the specific answers you are looking for. If you are as frustrated as you seem, then talk it out with those on your campus who can help you the most. No, we don't know your campus, sorority, or how Greek life really is on your campus. So, we can not not offer any specific advice to you. If you are having trouble recruiting, think about why. Talk it over with your chapter. Talk it over with your Greek life adviser. Sometimes many chapters go through cycles. You just might be in a "down" part of the cycle, but that does not mean it is the end of the world for your chapter. You and your chapter just may have to work harder, and that could be a good thing. What you are going through now may be the catalyst your chapter needs to pull together. And, when other girls on campus see y'all clicking, that is what attracts people - seeing true sister / brotherhood. I don't think you want to give up. It sounds like you are at the end of your rope, and you don't know what to do now. Don't give up. |
