ZTA Pillow

I saw a pillow at Wal-Mart the other day with a rhinestone strawberry on it. The best part is the pillow is turquoise. I know Wal-Mart, but I thought it would make a cute lil' sis gift.

Isn't there an Ag Sorority called Ceres (I think they are somehow affiliated with Farmhouse?). That would be a great gift for them as well.

AGDLynn 08-10-2007 05:44 PM

$120.00 ;)

SWTXBelle 08-10-2007 05:55 PM

Yes, $120.00 - but GORGEOUS. AND - it's something you could keep your whole life long. I think it would be really neat as a gift for a chapter's house.

Between my grandmother the collector and OPhiA, I spend entirely too much time on Raggedy Ann websites (yeah, I know, it's sad), but anyway, for the DGs: http://www.raggedy-ann.com/raanninsaoub.html

Once again sorority-motif fabric is on the auction block. Several different groups are represented.

Not QUITE as drastic...but in highschool, I had a green Plymouth Sundance with frogs across the back window, a couple Peace Frogs stickers, and a license plate that said "FROG ###"....

Someone snapped a pic of the back of my car and put in the yearbook my Senior year with the caption "Gee, I wonder who this belongs too...".:D;)

Xidelt 09-21-2007 12:44 AM

Okay, so I'm a little bored and decided to surf the Walmart jewelry selection....surprisingly, they had several diamond accent pendants/necklaces that would work as symbol gifts for sisters. Among the selection:
--several hearts
--a "flower" (their description) that looked like a stylized rose
--skull and crossbones (several orgs have them on their pins)
--butterfly
--anchor with the word "hope"
--fleur-de-lis

I think these are cute, especially if your sorority colors are ones that you already really like. I don't see a Sigma themed one, but the concept is adorable. I particularly like the ADPi, Phi Mu, and ZTA ones.

Dillard's has fleur-de-lis canisters
http://www.dillards.com/webapp/wcs/s...90494&R=HKC053

They also carry a style, only at Dillards, that are smaller and the canisters are about $24-35, plus they have butter dishes, oil/vinegar, cream/sugar, plates and such with the the metal holders. The colors are Tuscan-style colors of red, yellow and green :D and cream. I've been watching since they opened a couple of months ago and haven't put them on sale so I'm biting the bullet in prep for our new house. ;)

www.cross.com has some beautiful pens and leather goods. The leather goods come in blues that would work for KKG, ADPi,AXiD and a red/pink that would work for Phi Mu, ASA and Chi O, and a beautiful double brown that is perfect for my Gamma Phi sisters! They have pens in fabulous colours, too - what they call "red" includes some pink,so all you pink ladies give 'em a look. These would make great senior or initiation gifts - especially if you engrave them.

Century II Quasar pens - ice blue; ultra violet; infra red ballpoint
Pen case - ruby/petal pink;cobalt/aegean blue;ebony/carbon grey;dark/milk chocolate
Padfolio - ebony/carbon grey; dark/milk chocolate
Personal agenda - all of the above colours
checkbook wallet with pen - all of the above
jotter with pen - ebony/carbon grey;dark/milk chocolate
key ring pouch - all colours
personal agenda - cornflower blue;peony pink; brown;toffee;black

Yes, and I'm embarrassed to say that I don't know the difference between a waxing and waning moon. Is waxing ) or is it ( ?

Note: I'm a catalog/internet shopper. I've seen a TON of things!

I love the Decor site!!! I just graduated and I moved back home, and I am attempting to turn my child bedroom into a nice chic room. I would love to work in my sorority colors (Black and Gold). Any suggestions of stuff you guys find at stores would be helpful! Kites and stars are also great!

On another note, I love it how one's room because the storage closet for the entire family when one goes away to college.... :)

Theta Kites and Pansies

JoAnn's Fabric and Crafts has a line of small dessert-size plates that are different colored pansies. There is a gold and black one. I can't find the picture on their website.

For any Thetas who like to quilt, I just discovered this cute, EASY pattern. http://www.ucquilts.com/bommarch2006.htm
