Great thread, Brother. :) This was the most fun recruitment story I've ever read!

You know.... the one time I meant nothing by it was when it was the funniest. lol

I'm not going to "pump your head up" (don't have the right equipment...), but this story is DA BOMB!!!!

PerfectVerse06 06-05-2007 11:20 PM

Had to come out from the shadows and say GREAT STORY!!

It was wonderful to see you swell with pride when displaying your love of Mr. Pumper. :p

DSTRen13 06-05-2007 11:58 PM

GREAT thread :D I loved your story, especially since I definitely didn't always know I wanted to be a Delta (I didn't know such a wonderful organization existed!).

ZChi4Life 06-06-2007 12:03 AM

Excellent thread!

LOVEinZTA 06-06-2007 10:21 AM

wow, writing my own recruitment story would be such a let-down after reading this! haha

Blessed2bDST 06-06-2007 10:35 AM

What a thoughtful, creative (and funny as hell) thread! As a professional writer I think I'm even more impressed. I've only been on GC for a short while and, frankly, still trying to figure out whether it's a vibe that "fits" for me. I've done a little posting but a lot of observing and I appreciate that your posts generally seem very much like this thread -- thoughtful, creative and funny.

Someone ought to do the same for the NPHC sororities!

LMDAO!!!!

This definitely gets the "most puns in a GC thread" award.

yeah seriously!

jojapeach 06-06-2007 01:21 PM

I'm just catching on to these sick people and their puns. LMAO I really didn't read "flip flop" that way. But I'm so glad that Rashid rose to the occasion to set an example for a great NPHC story.

I'm looking forward to any other NPHC retro stories. (DSTRen13, your story would be very interesting!) Just as long as members of the D9 understand that the author is putting their individual opinions and impressions out there about each org.

DeltaBetaBaby 06-08-2007 11:40 PM

I loved hearing this, because I know so little about how an NPHC member chooses an org. I hope more of y'all will do the same!

Benzgirl 08-10-2008 02:25 PM

Bumping this thread because I just laughed my a$$ off. Good one, Rashid!
Now, if we could just get Dionysis to finish her Retro Recruitment thread.

tld221 08-10-2008 02:33 PM

yesssssssss this thread was so awesome. and i too would like to hear DSTRen's story, and Dionysus need to finish (his) hers already... ;)

Senusret I 08-10-2008 02:43 PM

Awww thanks for the bump! I had such a great time with this thread.

I am pretty sure DSTRen told her story somewhere....

Senusret I 08-10-2008 02:44 PM

BTW -- I REALLLLLLLY needed to reread why I wanted to be a Brian Pumper. Sometimes you need a reminder!

Favorite statement:
"I lived with Brian Pumper's member."

DSTCHAOS 08-10-2008 06:43 PM

He's such a writer.

IlovemyAKA 08-10-2008 09:35 PM

Thanks for the bump! It led me to discover the thread. As everyone has said already, AWESOME!

I'd love to tell a story, but I'm not much of a writer.

Hmmm, maybe I'll go for it anyway...

Kudos to you for your story, Senusret I. I'm glad you found your home. :)

Maat 10-18-2009 05:41 PM

*bump* some things need to be re-visited. loved the story!!

Benzgirl 10-18-2009 06:36 PM

I <3 this story.

KSUViolet06 10-19-2009 10:55 AM

Just finished re-reading this.

Love it.

KSUViolet06 06-09-2010 11:06 PM

This is one of my favorite stories on GC, it needs a bump.

ETA: yeah double post from like 8 months ago. lol.

Senusret I 06-09-2010 11:08 PM

LMAO

I should bookmark this thread.

KSUViolet06 06-09-2010 11:11 PM

I feel like it should be stickied somewhere where all the NPHC interested peeps could see it (wherever that is lol).

sigmaceli 06-10-2010 03:05 PM

I love being distracted from work with such a fine piece of writing. I feel like I learn something more about Sensuret's legacy in GC Land with every post I read, lol.

Worthy of a bump, I say.

nikki1920 06-11-2010 01:18 PM

I think this is when I fell in love with Rashid. :) ;p

Thank you for bumping this GsuRT11. Heard something on Sirius this morning that reminded me of this particular thread, and planned to revisit it tonight. How convenient to have it in the new post listing!

Yes, folks, this is definitely worth re-reading!

About Larry Fishburne's daughter? Or something else?

Nope, a rerun of Howard Stern discussing Lexington Steele, believe it or not.

Benzgirl 08-08-2010 01:10 PM

Do we have a Sticky on this thread yet?

I think there's sticky all over this thread.

First time I've ever read it... had me laffin mightily.

LMAOOOOO

ladygreek 09-11-2010 08:34 PM

Three + years and four bumps later I am just now seeing this thread. Since I already knew about Shid's journey, the creativity made it even funnier to me. :D The only thing that bothered me was Wolfman's need to defend his org. So unnecessary.

Senusret I 09-11-2010 09:03 PM

:)
