This morning. I had read a little of the bumped "Sally Ride" thread before I read the WP article. After I read the WP article, I did a search using words from the sentence quoted in the article -- scientists, pioneers, respective and fields. Somehow, I was not surprised to see it turn up the post from prunetaco.

In all honesty and seriousness, this really makes me rebuke the internet and never want to come back again. Honestly and seriously.

I seriously had no idea of the connection when I bumped the thread (about midnight my time last night). I promise.

Wow, going back and checking out the posts made by "prunetaco" at the time, he had conversations with many people here - even complimenting some of you! V. creepy.

Ugh, the fact that he posted on this forum is both disgusting and interesting at the same time. I guess it makes sense that he would lurk around here, considering his freakish obsession. I went back at read some of his old posts and his writing style just screams sociopathic freak. Of course, I guess it's easy to say that now considering we know what he turned out to be! But I think even back in 2006 the other posters could see he was a weirdo.

The thread where he posted the post in question is short (and locked) and quite a read, especially when he starts talking about the skeletons in his closet. :eek:

i just noticed that he was never banned. still listed as a registered member.

I've since deleted them, but he and I exchanged PMs when he was posting -- no surprise, they were all about Kappa.

...I usually save PMs just in case I need them for later use and then delete em from my inbox to make room, but I think the ones from prunetacos are all gone. I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only one he PMed. It was a very, very strong obsession with Kappa. :eek:

Last night, around midnight my time, there were about a 100 guests and I'd say that 85% of them were viewing the 'Hot Olympic Women' thread. :eek:

There's a good mix of threads being viewed, but 'Hot Olympic Women' is still pretty popular. :o

I'm guessing the investigation searched the various emails he used - a lot of his communication was via email - possibly along with IP addresses and the different websites/message boards they were connected to. GC just happened to be extremely relevant due to the Kappa/Greek connection.

That and his crazy-ass posts once they did find the connection.

I know I will go to hell for this, but that was the first thing I thought of too when I just re-read that thread. I wonder if he ever lived in HPRL?
