I'm late to the bandwagon and JUST started watching this show this season. I am getting caught up on past seasons right now.
Why are Vicki and Don still married? They are "that couple" that other couples don't like to go out with because they end up getting into it every time. I think it's dumb of them to consider selling their other home to buy a boat. If the new housewife is "so obsessed with staying young" she should probably have stayed out of the sun 20 years ago. Her face looks like my new Coach bag. I fear for Jeff's safety knowing that Gretchen is going to be responsible for IVs now. She doesn't seem like the brightest crayon. I must admit that there is something about Gretchen that does seem like she cares about him. |
Vicki gets into it with everyone, not just Don. She is a true wacko, and as rude as they come.
Jocelyn, you are correct. That is exactly what I thought about the new housewife. But then, Tamra has so much Botox in her face that it barely moves. Has anyone noticed there is something irregular with the skin on Vicki's face? |
like she has little flaps on the sides of her face that have been botoxed in to place? this is weird, but the texture of her face reminds me of one of those gel eye masks that you wear to bed and keep in the freezer during the day- her skin looks like molded gel that has been partially frozen.
Oh, plus she's batshit crazy. |
I think Vicki has deep pock mark acne scars.
|
If I were Don sitting at home watching these episodes and Vicki's interview commentary, I'd be furious. I'd also be hurt that I raised her two kids but Brianna only considers him "her mom's husband." My parents are still married and I don't know many people with divorced parents, so I'm probably not fully grasping the severity of the situation of feeling like your father isn't interested in knowing you. I imagine it'd still be painful for Don to hear that though.
Not a fan of Lynne so far. She tries way too hard to be her daughter's friends and not their mom. And the conversation over lunch about hangover cures? It sounded like her daughter was definitely trying to sound cool for the cameras, saying she'd tried these before and everything. What an idiot. Hold-cold-hot showers? You're 18 and a senior, I doubt you've had a lot of wild crazy nights. And if I were having these conversations with my mom when I was in high school, I'd be in trouble for admitting I'd been drunk before! |
I think a lot of Brianna's problems stem from Vicki hauling her out to California where she had no contact with her father. Back in Season 1 or 2, Michael spent the summer with his father working construction. Ex-Mike didn't come across as irresponsible on TV.

I absolutely can't stand that douchebag that is Tamra's son. I forgot his name.
He basically wants the lifestyle that Tamra and Simon have but does not want to work for it. Plus, he decided he didn't want to be a CHP because he got a ticket? I call bullshit. My guess is that he realized that he'd actually have to work hard to get through the Academy and not make the millions he thinks he is worthy of. I can't stand idiots like him. Too bad Lauri left but with a son battling heroin addiction, I can understand her decision to leave. |
^^^His name is Ryan, and no matter how tall he wants to make his hair, it doesn't hide the fact that his hairline is receding.
I agree, he is am immature a$$. |

HAHAHAHAHA! That's EXACTLY what Mike said when we were watching the show this week. :D |

Have you read any of the stuff about her and George and the drama with his ex-wife? I've been reading up on their crap in the ocregister and it's some eye opening stuff. He's not the "Prince Charming" he's made out to be. He's an ass. |
Quote:
Did you read about George's ex-wife and her hook up with Dennis Rodman? |
Quote:
The only ones I feel any sympathy for are the kids who are dragged into all this b/c their parents have egos and issues. |
I decided to check ocregister after your posts, and wow. It sounds like their entire family is a complicated mess.
|
You know, I think all of them are a mess. Think about it.
Vicki complains that her ex is an alcoholic. Has she looked in the mirror lately? She is also batshit crazy and a control freak. There is nothing I like about this woman. She is mean and thinks the world revolves around her. Jeanna, as much as I love her, lets her soon-to-be ex live in the house. He is also whacked out from taking a whack in the head when he was playing for Oakland (hit in the temple by a foul ball). Her eldest son is most likely on steroids and her daughter thinks going to Berkley is a step down. Tamra thinks she is the be all, end all. And as I have said before, has so much botox in her face that it doesn't move. Lauri...well, read the OC Register. It's probably just a matter of time before George leaves her for someone else and not only asks for the ring back, but every cent of the wedding, her Mercedes, etc. Things are just starting to surface about Gretchen. There are a lot of stories on Jeff and his multiple wives. Interesting...over the weekend, I was reading an old blog from Jo de la Rosa, and Gretchen posted a response. I didn't realize she was a a friend of Jo and Slade's and had actually discussed another reality show with Bravo a couple of years ago. Glad Quinn and her chest torpedoes are gone. I miss Tammy Knickerbocker and her daughters. I didn't see season 1, so I missed the episodes on Kimberly, the trophy wife. So why do I love this show so much? |
ugh...Kimberly. I don't think she was really a trophy wife, she just considered herself to be one. She was in great shape and tan (which led to her skin cancer), but had giant fake boobs out of proportion to her tiny body, and the least attractive face of any of the housewives. She was probably the snobbiest, too. I was happy she left.
Good riddance to Jo and Quinn, too. ETA: Wow, I always assumed Slade left because of Jo. I was reading some other articles and they said his son has terminal brain cancer. Was this mentioned on the show? If so, I missed it. |

I can see why Kara wanted to leave and be back in SoCal. Like she said one time, Berkeley is NOT a place for a "conservative" Republican!! lol. |

Kara was not accepted to USC and UCLA. Berkeley was her third choice. I can't remember if she mentioned it last season or in the one before that.
The only reason I don't feel sorry for her is that she should have known better. OC =/ Berkeley. Oil and water. |

Can Lynn be anymore boring? I am so disappointed they added her. C'mon, a Tanning Paty?
|
I don't know who's worse. Lynne or her daughters. They are so self-absorbed it's terrifying. Still, the girls are like that because of her.
Question. Why was Raquel pissed at Lynne? I watched on and off b/c of gift wrapping but didn't see why Raquel got so mad. |
Quote:
BTW...we have heard all about how Raquel drinks and smokes pot, but nothing of the 18 year old's plans to go to college |
Ahh. Well, I can understand it though b/c Raquel is already over-tanned while Alexa is pale (in comparison). If Raquel gets any tanner, she'll look like George Hamilton. :p
As for college, she probably either is keeping that low-profile OR isn't planning on going b/c she can live off of her parents for a while. |
I just realized that Lauri's daughter, Ashley, isn't a "Waring". Her name is Ashley Zarlin . Sophie and Josh both go by Waring
Vicki's kids all use her ex's last name of Wolfsmith. Brianna and Mike |
I was reading the blogs over on bravotv and someone claimed that Ashley (Lauri's daughter) works at the BeBe store in one of the local malls. I don't know which one but my guess would be the Brea Mall. I don't think South Coast Plaza has a Bebe store. *shrugs*

I kept thinking that Gretchen would have been Greek at Baylor, but I just found an article on her while she was a freshman. Her maiden name is Forward.
http://www.baylor.edu/lariat/news.ph...ory&story=9911 Gretchen Forward, co-chair of the organization's float committee and a Montrose, Calif., freshman, said FCC members were excited and a little worried at first. 'We are really pumped about putting it together,' Forward said. 'But there is a lot of pressure on us, since the float hasn't been done in a while.' Freeman said FCC is proud to be one of the few non-Greek organizations to have a float in the parade. |
I love how Lynne actually left for Raquel’s birthday lunch without either of her daughters – tore off in her car because they were bickering about their outfits. Way to go. Then she insisted on hiding her age from Gretchen. And during a later interview, when talking about meeting the other housewives, suggested that Vicki needed to “chillax.” Grow up. I can do without her on the show.

I think I read where Lynn is 52

I'm soo over Lynn. The whole being in "denial" that she's old and has kids, blah blah blah. Get over it. I rather have Vicki and all her annoying-ness than Lynn anyday. It might be me, but I don't blame Tamra at all. I would have thought/said the same thing. Seriously, your husband is critically ill and your on "vacation." Not cool. I thought Gretchen was wrong for saying "I hope your husband gets cancer so you know what it feels like." Really though, that is not anything i'd wish on ANYONE. |

Tamra and Icky are the biggest bitches. Simon is a moron and I don't know how Don puts up with Icky and her constant put downs. The man should have left her ages ago. She's a horrible person. Tamra is a horrible human being and she is NOT a friend. I loved how she said something about the group at the box next to theirs was low class. Hello? Pot meet kettle. LOL! She wouldn't recognize class if it hit her on that brainless dishwater blonde head of hers.
Lynne is still a crappy mom but I will give her some credit when it comes to being friendly. She hit it on the head when she said that the other housewives are cold and go out of their way to exclude someone from their inner circle. She tried to be friendly with them but they kept snubbing her. I like how Jeana is the one who doesn't take sides and calls Icky out on her crap. Gretchen. Seriously? The previews for next week show her hitting on Tamra's douchebag son. Ugh. I like Jeana. She's the only human being with feelings in the show. |
Quote:
I agree that Jeana's the only normal one with any decency. Did anyone notice how Tamra was telling Kara to switch seats and sit with their group? Grow up, you're begging a 19 year old to hang out with you. Next week with Gretchen and Ryan looks interesting! |
What also killed me was that Michael (Icky's son) is an apple that doesn't fall far from the tree. He is obnoxious and an alchoholic like his mother. If he was ragging on Jeanna, where did he hear it?
I had to laugh when Gretchen was showing the ring to Jeff's son. Bling! It was cracking me up. I didn't care too much for Tamra last season, now I've realized how mean she can be. It's not that she is "Impulsive", as someone said. She is entirely mean-spirited. Icky -- what more is there to say about this spiteful bitch. |
I just watched this episode and I thought the funniest thing on there was when Gretchen said gangstaster. haha
And I don't know how I feel about next week's episode, I mean, isn't Jeff still in the hospital but yet Gretchen is hitting on Tamra's son??? Gretchen= golddigger |
Did anyone read Tamra's blog on BravoTV.com this week? I would LOVE to know what Bravo told the Barneys at 1:00 a.m. before the Del Mar track event. I get this feeling that Gretchen made some comment about Simon being hot and it pissed both of them off. IDK...Tamra and Simon are really getting to me too.

"I was confused and shocked with Gretchen's comments about me in this episode. She knew exactly why we were keeping our distance and not wanting to sit with her. The truth of the matter is I was keeping Simon away from her. Simon was upset after information that was brought to us at 1AM that morning that kept us up all night. I gave her my word that Simon and I would not talk about it on camera and we didn't! I would have expected more gratitude and appreciation - not to be called catty or two faced!" |
