I don't know all their names...except Dreamy Ace - how he is referred to in my home. I don't think he's like Constantine at all - who tried to be dreamy but was just child molester creepy. Dreamy Ace is all sweet and innocent looking - except when he sang the word "naked"!! :o :p

Elliot is a good singer, but not potentially the best male ever like Simon said! :confused: And this is mean, but I think he's really bad looking. It's distracting. Maybe I'll just keep my eyes closed!

The rock boys are fun, but they sure ain't no Bo Bice! They'll be gone soon enough.

The super geeky kid - has a decent voice, but he has no stage presence.

The crooner kid - it was so weird! Like he was having seizures while he sang!

The "Shout" guy - it was like a bad number from a cheesy cruise ship performance!!!

And Copacabana boy?!? Are they serious?!?! He's a wack job!

The rest were unmemorable in my opinion.

THE most annoying thing, though. I think the girls feel a need to stand up and dance and be cutsey because they think the viewers are watching/judging them. The sad part, many probably are: "Oh, look at Katherine. She isn't dancing and singing along with my favorite guy! I'm not voting for her next week!!!" :rolleyes:

That and when he sang "I'll be your daddy." I was like, 'Ohhhhh...talk dirty to me.'

I feel so out of the loop. I missed Tuesday night, and I had to tape last night. I thought it was only an hour, so it cut off after the little 16 year-old. I will say that until Chris came out and nailed "Wanted: Dead or Alive", I hadn't heard anyone good. In the early rounds I really liked Taylor. I didn't hear his song tonight, but everytime they pan the camera to him he is doing that bizarre Ray Charles - I have a cramp in my back - swaying thing. I am starting to think there is something wrong with him. I still like him, but for me he needs to lay off that.

Haha, I so had a convo about that with my roommate last night and she thinks I'm just being mean, but seriously I'm not so sure I'm wrong. Either way, he's an amazing singer and he just makes me smile. It's funny too because with him there's no sex appeal, so all that I like about him is really because he's just a quality guy who really knows how to sing. :)

Elliot's amazing to me. Seriously. And while he's not "hot" perse, he reminds me of someone I know, so it's cool.

Ace is soo cute and he can really sing! So glad someone can rock out and not be like scary Constantine.

And while Kevin can sing well, he will eventually have to go because I don't think I could ever watch him make music videos and really care. Just not an Idol to me at all...

Since I missed posting about the girls...

Parris was amazing to me. Def my favorite girl, and has been since her audition day.

Katharine and Lisa come in 2nd and 3rd to me, in that order.

While not everyone's been impressive to me, this season def has a lot more people I'm rooting for than in seasons past where I thought there were more clear cut winners. Way to go AI. :P

Now, don't go doing that to me. You know I have not one but two teenaged boys around here!

(Yes, irishpipes it's on again tonight. They're eliminating the two boys and girls with the lowest vote totals.)

I wanna take Will and throw him into an early episode of "The Wonder Years." I think he's fun to watch, but may not be the best one out there.

I think 19E is very hestitant to let what happened Season 3 happen again where the competition became all women. Plus, I've heard that 19E is really pulling for a white male to win this year.

Yes, another elimination of 4 people is this week. At least that's what the previews look like.

Yes. Four more guys need to go as do four more girls to have six even for each gender. This will need to happen in 2 shows. Next week's will play out like last week's. The final week, when they reveal the top 12, will basically just select the top 12 from the chairs. (No bottom nothing, etc.)

Well, it's almost over for tonight and I must say one thing:

I really cannot stand the song "Wind Beneath My Wings."

The theme for tonight was sucky song choice! The interviews are so staged and cheesy.

Katherine- boring and forgettable

Kinnik- more entertaining, but not a good song choice for her voice. She said she's sung this a million times in her living room. It sounds like someone singing along in their living room.

Lisa- not doing it for me tonight... again, forgettable and boring.

Melissa- she in general just annoys me and i think she's kinda trashy. Her song was entertaining and pretty decent. To me she's a less lovable Kelly Clarkson.

Heather- i don't like the faces she makes when she's singing. I love this song, but she was very boring in the first part. I also thought her outfit looked stupid for this song. Don't sing Mariah if you don't have the chops

Brenna- fun song choice, but vocally ehhhh. Her fake smile is scary.

Paris- not digging the outfit. But the song wasn't great. Way too serious for her goofy personality.

Ayla- IMO the best so far. This girl can sing. She can pull off the big songs without choking. Best song choice so far.

Kellie- sounds like a hick when she talks. Not just a southern accent but a hick accent and she sounds like she's stupid. I don't thinks he has great stage presence. The song would've been better with a stronger presence.

Mandisa- interesting version of the song. I don't think I liked it sung that low like she did in the beginning.

If I had to say that someone did a good job, it'd be Ayla.

Unimpressive overall. I could have a real hate-fest over Heather and Brenna. Both think they are great and neither is even average. Even the great ones weren't so hot tonight (Mandisa, Paris, Katherine.) I guess the judges heard something different with Kellie than I did. I thought it was a karaoke bar version of a great song, and her country-bumpkin shtick is annoying. Also, not one of the judges mentioned that Lisa Tucker was flat in several places. My cuts for the evening:

Melissa or Kinnik (actually I think both have good voices, but no crowd connection)

I think a big thing is the 'balls' on these chicks! They were all awfully brave to try big songs by big artists. Everytime one of them would say what they were singing, my jaw just dropped! Celine, Mariah, and Bette...c'mon!!! We were just missing Whitney, and it'd be freakin' 'Divas Live'. The only person I remember even doing one of them justice, was Kelly when she sang 'Natural Woman'. That was WELL into the competition, after she had a little more safety. It was just toooooo soon for these girls.

I'm gonna climb back on the grassy knoll and say that the producers gave them a really crappy song choice book. Notice that the judges said something about song choice for EVERY SINGLE girl. Well shit... if they are given crap, they will sing it.

Heather hon... that song was popular in my junior high talent show... and you really belong in a pagent of some sort. (Good looking... mediocre talent...)

Brenna bugs... her smile is scary.

Paris looked like she was in pain when she was singing. And didn't really give a good response to why she chose that song.

Melissa pointed at the camera 21 times. Yes we counted. She needs a new move.

Kellie's "cuteness" is not making me like her any more. But Simon can't stop ranting and raving about her. (Or maybe just looking at her.)

Okay... did anyone else catch Ryan's Freudian slip? The 3 people I was watching it with did. I think it was contestant number 6... can't remember... maybe Paris or Heather. He apparently said "Sex messaging rates apply." And then freaked for a couple seconds and then carried on.
