Is diggy (daniel) named after one of run's brothers?

f8nacn 07-07-2006 08:33 AM

That's what I thought too when I was watching last night...

ditto! last night i was thinking the EXACT same thing.

Do you think the Rev will be like  when he sees Vanessa's pix? I loved how her little sis was keeping her on point ;). Has anyone actually seen the finished product in Maxim? I enjoyed last nights episode, it was very Cosby-like. Don't you love how Rev called Vanessa during her photo shoot...that's a tactic that we parents use, it's better known as "guilt".

f8nacn 07-07-2006 04:37 PM

Picture of Vanessa from Maxim

here is a link where you can see the picture that was in Maxim...

dzdst796 07-07-2006 05:43 PM

I think it a nice picture. I don't think she is a celebrity, but nice photo.

Sophist08edLady 07-07-2006 10:54 PM

Thanks for the link. I agree that the photo is not as bad as I thought it would be. It is a good photo and I think this will move her modeling career to the next level...she is no longer a little girl.

Per YBF, Run's House returns with season 3 on April 2nd. The show will deal with the aftermath of the baby's death.:(

That is so sad, and I remember that season 2 went off with the doctor asking them if they wanted to know the sex of the baby.

Gina1201 01-27-2007 09:45 PM

This is sad. But I am happy to see the show return. I'm guessing MTB4 will be on then as well.

Citrine1 01-30-2007 02:17 PM

Am I the only person...

...who isn't excited about this show returning?? Maybe it's because I don't identify with them as a model black family. Maybe it's because I think those kids are overly spoiled. Maybe it's because I don't necessarily condone them exploiting their personal family business (eg. the pregnancy). Either way, I'm sure millions will watch and I will probably find myself watching an episode or two when there is nothing else on.:(

I didn't think they were going to do another episode because of the trauma with the pregnancy, I'm happy they're coming back though. It's a fun show to watch. And wait wait...there's going to be a 4th one? I watched MTB3 so much I had entire episodes memorized, songs, the mess ups - everything.

"Sleep on ehhhhhhhht" :D

Post graduation nights were spent watching MTB3 and RH reruns all the time.

I see the show differently. I don't see the children as being spoiled. They look and act like normal kids whose parent(s) just happen to be a little bit wealthy. As for them "exploiting" the pregnancy, I don't see that at all. I think that they may have one or two episodes about the pregnancy, but then it will be good to see them working through it and going back to "normal" (if there is such a thing after losing a chid). We were there when she decided to have another baby. We were there when they found out that they were pregnant and all the other aspects of the pregnancy. If they baby had lived, there wouldn't be an issue. We'd all be excited to see the interaction with the new addition to the family. This is just an unexpected situation.

I can't wait for the show to return!!

dzdst796 01-31-2007 08:54 AM

Rev. Run and Justine were just on the Wendy Williams show the other day and sounded like they have accepted what happened to their daughter and put their faith in God and have accepted the fact that He had other plans for her. I think Justine actually just got a book published and was getting ready for a book signing.

Personally I enjoy the show. I don't think the kids are spoiled either. I think they are just living the lifestyle that they have been afforded because of their parents.

Still BLUTANG 01-31-2007 11:08 AM

i'm looking forward to the show's return. i enjoy seeing a black family that isn't in the hood or some other type of dire straights.

AKA2D '91 01-31-2007 11:13 AM

Justine has a chilren's book on the shelves. I believe I saw it in Essence featured with other AF Am inspired childrens' readings.

I am SOOOOO ready for this show the return!!! I am watching the marathon on BET and loving every minute of it. :D :D

kiml122 03-23-2007 06:52 PM

Y'all know I love this show, and I saw some of the previews after the show that they showed on BET last night, so you know I can't wait. They showed a snippet of them being in the hospital and Justine explaining to either Russy or Diggy that the baby died.

I think that's Diggy. It was sad because (I'm assuming) none of them were there at the hospital when she went into labor. So imaginw coming to the hospital to see your new little sister to find out that she passed away. :(

That snippet made me come in with my previous post of excitement about the return of the show. Good thing April isn't that far away!

I agree. So many of us do just what he said -- we question the storm instead of riding through the storm.

Even thought I don't watch the show that much, I saw them on Oprah a few minutes ago. I almost cried when they talked about the loss of the baby. They are a family to be admired.

RedefinedDiva 04-02-2007 10:55 PM

They're on Oprah now!! :D
