I hear you! It actually didn't bother me that she said anything because I know that's what girls do, heck, people do. I understood that she was stressed out and just inappropriately reacting, and while it wasn't her best move, I def don't think she's the worst of those around.

Seriously though, as far as Nicole goes she's just nothing special. Yes, she has a pretty face, but HELLO- they all do! Moreover, her personality just leaves much to be desired. It'd be like Naima winning all over again- I just wouldn't care. If she does win, they best start editing it so that we warm up to her, or again it's going to be a top model everyone cares less about.

I mean, they took Eva and made her from opinionated and fussy to a bold empowered woman and I love her for having a strong personality now. I love when they show how she's doing now. I just want the girl that wins to be something worth being interested in later, which is kinda the whole idea anyway, right?

I have a feeling next week is going blow up!

Ok, Bre has been my girl from the get-go... but today, she should of gone home... period.

Nigel ruined his cuteness for me when Mr. Jay unbuttoned his shirt. Nigel has chest pubes.

Jayla had the same face in every picture but, to be fair, she was the only one they put off to the side. All the other girls were centered and obviously the focus of the shot.

The only thing Nik is lacking is personality. She's like the black Amanda (season three)...great face, great pictures, but just not that interesting in person.

I think it will be down to Nik and Nicole but I'm not sure who will win. The judges are really hard to guess.

Again take last season, IMPO Kaylen rocked it but Naima won. So who knows with them.

But this time I like both Nik and Nicole (where last season and even now I find Naima annoying) so I'd be happy with either one winning.

I wonder whose fashion they will walk for? Maybe it will be the punk guy from last night. he he.

I've missed a few episodes, but it seems like they haven't done as much runway this season, but a lot more "challenges". IE, evade the paparazzi, to me that's not as important as being able to walk a catwalk. But i'll vote for Nik. For some reason Nicole irks me. I think it's her annoyingly redundant "okay" in panel each week, each week, each week.

You are so teasing those of us on the west coast LOL I have the reminder set though. Somehow this show sucked me in this season. Never watched it before :-)

Though Nicole annoyed me at times, and she did f up her commercial, she had more looks than Nik. Nicole was very good at the fashion show, and Nik was so bouncy. I think Nicole's more outgoing personality helped her. After the weirdo with no personality (Naima), I think they didnt' want to go for another quiet one.

They did another commercial back a few episodes...how did Nik do on that? I didn't see it but heard that she didn't do so well...maybe it all balances out.

the outcome was very easy to predict...the Judges have loved Nicole for a while and most if not all have said that "she is a model".....even though I love Nik to death...you could tell on the runway who was "bringing it"...Nik really didn't display a lot of personality in her photo...beautiful photos, but no personality

Tatas don't make your shoulders move in strange ways. VS models don't walk like that. I just don't think she brought it to the runway.

There was a lot going on throughout the entire season. And i'm guessing that the judges, wisely, considered everything.

Would you be saying the same think if Nik f'ed up the commercial? Do you think Bre deserved to go because she certainly f'ed up the commercial, too? Wouldn't you say that they shouldn't consider only one shoot in making their decision? Why shouldn't they consider everything else?

Nik brought the same face almost every week. When I saw her smiling in the Cover Girl shoot I thought her face was going to crack because it looked so unnatural.


As for the comments in the other forum that she didn't get it because she was black... that's ridiculous and sad.

There have been more women of minority backgrounds in this competition, way more than is proportional to the population at large. Many have done VERY well. I do not understand where these cries of racism come in. Sorry, but a black woman can't win everytime. And just because the black woman didn't win is no reason to cry racism, etc.

Nicole irked me at times, but I thought she did a much better job, had MUCH more personality and showed much more variety throughout the competition.

I was so happy that Nik and Nicole were the final two. Because I like both, I would have been happy whoever won (considering last season and to this day I don't think Naima was a good choice).

Although, after the fashion show I was totally rooting for Nicole. It was like on that stage, she did a 180. She rocked that show.

During judging I was like "I hope Nicole wins, I hope Nicole wins". I wanted to be "right" just for once. LOL. I was so excited when Nicole's face came up.

Remember, Nicole is the first ANTM to have an ad run, prior to becoming ANTM (the secret ad). Maybe that should have been a little predictor. :)


I heard they are in the process of filming season 6 as we speak. So they are actually looking for applicants for season 7.

It's not about race, it's about being commercial. The whole show is becoming a joke. All season long they kick girls off for being TOO comercial.....and then they pick someone who has a more commercial versus high fashion look. I think there's a lot going on behind the scenes with the sponsors that affects the outcome.

And Nicole wasn't the best girl in the competition - no matter what the color.:rolleyes:

I don't disagree. I just don't think that because one contestant was choosen over another doesn't automatically mean it's okay to scream racism.

We don't really know HOW ANTM is picked, they don't really share that info. I would guess that Cover Girl has a huge stake in it. CG models seem to be perkier and outgoing. After the Naima disaster, they probably wanted to make sure that they had someone that would meet their image more. Especially after Eva- who I think is a very good spokesperson- Naima must've killed them. Nik, while certainly more outgoing than Naima, is still on the reserved side. As I stated earlier, Nik smiling just didn't look natural. Nicole fits CG much better. I'm sure Nik will still have a good career, if anything, maybe better, because she doesn't have the constraints that the winner would.

I don't know what other girls I would've choosen to win. Lisa took great photos- but I doubt that CG would want her antics associated with them, there's a great chance she could've embarssed them. She was also older and LOOKED it.

No one really stood out to me this season.

I think it's funny how none of the past winners/contestants have received the HUGE amount of success Tyra works it out to be. Andrienne only found some amount of fame b/c she's a trainwreck. Eva has done decently for herself, as has Tocarra, but no one has really vaulted up the modeling ladder.

co-sign. I don't know why they pick older girls and plus sized girls. They ALWAYS get kicked out. They should do a separate plus size show, where all the girls are plus. And they need to enforce an age limit. Why let a 26 yr old come into the house, to force her out b/c she looks old compared to the 18 year old?:rolleyes:

This is no longer a competition for someone who can walk a catwalk in Paris and model couture, it's an hourlong plug for Cover Girl. They ought to just say that and be done with it.

And I think that's because the fashion houses and whoever else decides who models in the high fashion area laughed their asses off at Tyra and saying "don't think so"

I do think it's misleading for them to put so much emphasis on high fashion when their models don't end up doing high fashion!

I'm going to refrain from even commenting on this in detail. :rolleyes: All I will say is, race is NOT a factor...at least from my standpoint.

Honestly, I think that has a lot to do with the fact that many girls go work in Europe and we don't really hear about what they do there. Some of the girls, like Brita, have also been signed to big agencies.

Yoanna did pretty well for herself. She had a campaign for Sephora, and now does a ton of hosting for E! Fashion Files and Fashion Week, as well as hosting The Look For Less.

But Yoanna still has flabby back fat love handles. icky poo.
