Soul Food was ALL THAT!!! Let's see where do I want to start...

...Bird and Lem are OFF THA CHAIN!! I was laughing so hard throughout the entire show. Their scratching was killing a sista. Lem is the weakest link for buying a NO NAME BRAND massage cream.

Terri is SOOOOOOOOOOOO domineering at times. I love the girl to death, but I don't think it was necessary for her to fire that paralegal. Futhermore, her acting was SUPERB! She needs to get some professional help because I don't want anything else to happen to her.

Max's poem was off the chain! DANG....she got pretty deep! Kenny is so cute to me. I was so happy when he got the contract and loan.

Lastly, next week's episode is going to blow me away. No mother needs to be kissing their son all up in the mouth like Lem's mom was! What was that all about????? I can't wait till next Wednesday!

Did anyone catch how Lem took off his earrings before the interview? I wanted to tape that part for some of our young brothas and just keep rewinding it!!!

The first thing I thought of when Kenny offered Lem that position was "Dannnnng! FILKY".

I think next week, Kenny's gonna get caught out there and Lila just might get what I've been wishing for from Max. After all, Kenny has to tell the reason why he objects to her & his father being together.... if he objects, that is.

And Lem's mom... can we say, Deep Seeded Issues? I'm curious as to how Bird's gonna handle that one. What can she say without looking too foolish?

Kudos to Lem for that and knowing that he had to step up and wear a "real suit" and not one of those hip hoppy:p outfits.

1. Lynette, Lem's mama has issues fa real. I mean what in her does not see that her life is foul. Straight foul. I feel for her that the only man in her life is her son and he is getting sick of her. She has MAD ISSUES and she tends to misuse every opportunity. . .

2. KENNY'S DAD, KENNY and LILA: No offense but Lila is not attractive. I was :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: all at the little bathroom scene. I mighta had to cuss somebody out for sexing in my house.

Kenny's dad was dropping knowledge in Ahmad's history class.:cool:

I wonder what will happen now with KEnny's dad and Lila.

3. Terri: I felt bad for her and those interviews ESPECIALLY the LAST ONE.:mad: :o That woman's breasts were a litte off or something -- saggy??:rolleyes: :eek:

First I must say Lyla looks like a damn horse to me. Why is everybody all attracted to her?

Kenny was wrong for not speaking up to Ben when he asked about him and Lyla. Kenny should have told Ben so he wouldn't have had the horse looking Skank all up in Maxine's house and face smiling like she didn't want to bone Kenny.

I reached a whole different level of respect for Bird going over to Lem's mother's house to check her freaky behind. Lem needs to realize he is on his 3rd strike and he needs to stay as far away from trouble as possible. Does he think he is Captain Save a ** or Somebody because he always trying to save the day.

I am also glad Terri has decided to get help and realize that she is not to good to seek help. I also think she is realizing a hard head makes for a soft behind. The people she tries to screw over are the ones she has to turn to for help.

Last but not least for the exception of Filky Lem's friends are FIONE!!!!

The fact that she has a problem with Bird's being "uncomfortable" with her affection for Lem, bothers me (and the fact she had a jealous look on her face when she talked to Bird) Did anyone catch the fact that they shared a bed until Lem was 13? Ewwwww!

Lila, looks like a Horse, and is it me or is her weave getting longer! I think her "doin" daddy in the bathroom is a substitute for what she WANTS to do to Kenny. And check Kenny "marking his territory" like Lila is his "woman"! If he keeps that up, Max is going to be askin questions.

Terri, needs to hang it up, swallow her pride and beg that psychiatrist to see her again. All the others are NUTS!! Crazier than her.

She really did. Her acting is superb. She plays the part of a clingy mom really well. I did not miss that she and Lem slept in same bed for 13 years. Hello one of y'all need to sleep on the couch.

I was really wondering, though, if his dad went ahead an "did" her so that Kenny could give up the hots that he has for her (kind of a "protect the marriage" thing). I don't know. When she was being introduced to Ben, I was thinking the same thing... who did she know to get that part? I think her role is not sexy at all. She's skraight skanky.

When I was looking at the episode last night I was thinking the exact same thing about Lila's looks. I won't call anyone ugly.....but she is for real very, very...did I say very unattractive!! :p

I'm looking at the show and I'm like what's make them think that she is attractive. Did you all dig that outfit she came to the office in. I know Kenny doesn't have a conventional office, but didn't he tell her about the way she should dress back when she was first working for him?

Now as for Ben bangin ole girl in the bathroom.....that was just straight NASTY!!

Lem's mom....not even going to touch that...but I agree with who said that Debbi Morgan is acting her booty off in that role.

Terri definitely needs to talk to the original therapist to get help. What about when she was trying to find therapist on her own and the woman wouldn't tell her anything about herself so she was like we will just sit here in silence.....but my favorite was when the couple was like it's time and they took off their clothes...was anyone esle CTHU?

Lila looks a hot mess and she dresses raunchy but it still does not hide her unattractive features.

Crimson, girl you're so EMOTIONAL!!! I love it! That was a very touching moment though.

Now you know Bird's hair change more than anything! Can I ask a question.......I have watched every episode of Soul Food and I have to agree with Kenny "Nothing Happened" Sure SHE KISSED HIM but he made it clear that there was Nothing and it was WRONG! Sure he was attracted to her but besides a few dreams what did he really do that was so wrong? ;)

Sure she may not be the prettiest girl on the block but aren't we in this same group talkng about how looks should not matter so much. .... :p

FIRST ANSWER: He did nothing wrong but he was not honest with himself. I think Kenny is "intrigued" by Lila because she is the only woman his wife who has shown him sort of interest and dang near wanted to act on it. Being intrigued by Lila and having an attraction is not wrong, but ACTING on it is. Thankfully Kenny knows his wife might break her foot off in Kenny's John Brown hindparts.

LILA'S LOOKS: Yeah but we are talking about for us.:p LOL, no I mean Lila is pretty in her own way:rolleyes: but it is a way that not nary a one of my felllow respondents and I can see.:p I really tried but the other night LILA was looking a HOT MESS in a trampy sort of way. That bathroom scene solidified for me what I thought.

Someone commented how Angie looks good for her age and I WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree because I remember her and Jesse hooking up in 1981 as a first grader and wanting a man as cute as Jesse -- he was a big screen roughneck.:p

While he did not act on it, he certainly thought about it. But really it has been his behavior since. He did act like there was omething when he introduced Lila to his father. He did act a mess making them sit far apart at dinner. (Even Max looked at him funny for that one.) It is that behavior that gives the impression he still has a strong attraction to her and makes him look guilty. If you don't want her, don't act like you do.


I had to laugh at the bathroom scene. Remember Bird and Lem in the Bathroom at Big Momma's house in the movie? Come to think of it, all the sex in the movie was standing up. No beds for these folks.

1. About Teri, could have seen that coming...although she is right in principal, she had to realize she was still the new kid on the block, as far as partners went. She did nothing to help herself mesh with the office politicians with her throwing her "weight" around as "partner". Yeah, she had the title, but when the s--t went down, she didn't have to pull the others did.

2. Yeah, Damon having to help his wife with the baby, while he is God knows where....that's a mess. BTW, what about Damon and Ms Junior Partner...both speak German, cussing out Terri in another language. And I wanted to pimp slap Terri myself, she's really jumping on my man Damon for EVERYTHING!! It ain't his fault she fell out of favor at the firm.

Last night's episode was good! I think that ol' dude was wrong for firing Terry, but for once, somebody stood up to her. She's so use to runnin' stuff that she couldn't fathom losing her job. Granted, her boss was definitely wrong for firing her but there was a point being proved.

Ahmad is too cute! That's all I'm going to say about that.

I love Kenny! He's a man and I really like how he handled the situation with his employees.
