i wonder if collin is still alive or if he dropped dead already... or passed out by all the booze he has consumed! |
Check again in July of 2005 for the Bosox baby boom that's starting tonight!!! ;) :) :D

I hope Collin is ok. It takes a very brave man to be a Yankees fan in Boston. |

And proof of Collin's awesomeness is that he is not only a Republican, but a Yankees fan, and I still like him. Go Collin. PS: I love the Bostowned picture. |

NOW WHO'S THEIR DADDY?

and isn't it fine....
go bosox. |
To the true Red Sox fans, congratulations. It sucks, but congratulations. The way the Yankees played the last four games, the Sox deserved to win, as hard as it is for me to say.
To my fellow Yankees fans; I guess we'll just have to wait for next year. I'll admit, I'm still REALLY upset...I was about ready to explode last night, and now I just feel tired and pissed. This is my lowest point as a Yankee fan, no question. Congrats to the true Sox fans out there though...you're getting to go to a World Series. Nic, you going to try for Series tickets? Collin (still a loyal Yankees fan) |
Congratulation to the Red Sox and their fans.
My rant about how the Yankees played: Why don't you take a few pitches before you swing? Especially with Schilling. |

one of my sorority sisters is coming into town for work sunday-wednesday. what a great week for her to be here. she'll definitely be dragged to the bars to watch a game, i already told her to be prepared for that. collin, i'm sorry about the loss. i know how much it sucks firsthand! you're one of the few yankees fans that i've always gotten along with, so that's a true test to you! if you go out to watch the games and we ever make it to the same bar, i owe you a beer. |

You guys are everything that's right about this series, and NY fans have been classy (save for a couple jokers for half an inning) - I have no doubt that next season will be more of the same. Hopefully Steinbrenner doesn't relegate Cashman to a corner cubicle and start repeating the Danny Tartabull era, because this was the best week of baseball any of us will ever see (even though, inevitably, one side had to be shattered). Honestly, now i think i sort of 'get' how yankees fans always felt these years - I can't do anything but just smile, it's amazing not having that lingering feeling that something awful is going to happen. The sox have often done something completely unique in baseball history - but usually it's bad. This is enough to make up for the beating in 99, the heartbreak of last year, the mailing it in at the end of 2000, and all that. To have a guy with iron balls like Schilling, to see Pedro want to take the ball in "Daddy Stadium", to see v-tek crying after the game - it's almost like it didn't happen. It sounds really cheesey and candy-assed, but it's borderline cathartic. On the bright side C, Shapiro and I are 'discussing' somehow making it into town during the series ('discussing' meaning 'he's telling me we're going and i have no idea how or when') . . . crazy days. |
This thread is full of bandwagon fans. A lot of you can't even name 5 players that play for the Sox, but you're on here being jackasses.
As for the real Sox fans, congrats. All these years we've had to deal with your obnoxious whining and you finally get the chance to win it all again. Hopefully you won't lose so you will stop the whining and stop wearing stupid shirts with remarks about the Yankees sucking or swallowing. -Rudey |
I just want everyone who made Yankee victory predictions to come to Pittsburgh and write newspaper stories such as:
"Pirates Suck Too Much to Ever Win Another Series" "One For the Thumb: An Impossible Dream" "Mayor Murphy: Here To Stay" |
Name ONE bandwagon fan.
I can think of some people who came on just to say that Boston couldn't win and haven't been back since Sunday night. :( They're bandwagon fans too, right? |

I know I'm one of the "bandwagon" fans in your mind. But that's ok, I'm used to it. I live in New York and I'm also a Mets fan so when I cheer for the Red Sox I'm jumping on the bandwagon. You can believe me or not - I really don't care, I've been a Sox fan as long as I've been a Mets fan. My grandfather, who had his choice of 3 New York teams in the Yankees, Giants & Dodgers, choose to root for the Red Sox instead. I root for the Red Sox because he does. |
I have been a Yankees fan for years since Reggie Jackson. "Reggie, Reggie, Reggie!" I feel really disappointed today. I really though the Yankees would win in five or six games.
Boston fans have been waiting for this opportunity since 1986 so enjoy it. Watching the World Series is a lot of fun especially when your team wins. :) |

I was really hoping this was the year Donnie Baseball would get a ring, even if it was as the hitting coach and not as a player. I think that disappoints me more than anything, that my favorite player of all time won't get a ring this year. |

Then there was Roberto Kelly, the future of the Yankees. People were so upset when they traded him to the Reds for O'neill. We all know how that turned out. Remember Mel Hall, wish his slow trots around the bases? I'm surprised pitchers didn't throw at him every game. |
