Walker is a 33 year old mother of a 5 year old son. She is accused of paying 3 teenage boys a total of $5,000 for sex. Prosecutors say she gave a written statement implicating herself in the crime. The students reported her after walker told them she had a new boyfriend and wanted to move on with her life

The rumors had been circulating around Corliss High School for days. It wasn't until principal Anthony Spivey heard it firsthand did he believe that three of his male students were having sex for money with the 33 -year -old Chicago public school teacher.

"They shared some information with me that I thought was very horrible and so at that particular point I started following Chicago Public Schools policy and when informed of suspected child abuse which is the way I looked at it," said Spivey.

Police say special education teacher senorita walker began having sex with her three victims at the beginning of the summer. She approached one of the kids on a South Side basketball court.

"She got his telephone number and a few days later called him. She picked up the victim and another victim, drove them back to her home, where she did perform sexual acts on these two boys," said Mary Anna Planey, assistant state's attorney.

On other occasions, a third victim became involved. Prosecutors say walker allegedly supplied marijuana and alcohol and paid the kids for the services.

"The very first time she had any sexual contact with the first victim she did pay him $100. On the second time she paid one of the victims $200," said Planey.

Walker currently teaches at Robeson High School. She met one of her victims while they both were at Kohn elementary. The allegations against Walker come as a surprise to Kohn's principal, who always thought Walker was a good teacher.

"They're screened before the board of education before they come here and we interview. I'm not a psychologist. I can't always pick up on what could be an issue with a staff member," said Cecellia Smith, Kohn School principal.

Senorita Walker has been suspended with pay. She began working for Chicago Public Schools in 1995.

Walker has worked a seven other schools besides Robeson. She does not have a criminal record in Cook County. If Walker is convicted on all three counts of criminal sexual abuse, she faces three to seven years in prison.

I just don't understand how you can do something like this and be suspended WITH PAY. It's not like she's still under investigation. The woman already admitted it.

It is really tragic that her mother named her Senorita. Maybe that's what put her on the path towards criminal behavior.

Excuse me, but my question is why is she suspended WITH PAY? They need to take those funds away from her. That's what she used to pay those boys. This just churns my stomach. And I have another question; were these boys "special ed" boys or were they just from the high school? I know the article states that she's the special ed teacher, but they didn't specify whether the victims were participants of her class or not.

The divorced Birch Drive resident has told investigators the boy — a playmate of her own 7-year-old daughter — was the aggressor in their relationship. Imre said he ordered her to dump an adult boyfriend and told her not to take birth control pills.

Totally agree. I have an 11 year old and I doubt that he has DHB yet. I wasasking a male friend about that the other day and he was like "he won't DHB until he reaches puberty." And for most, that's not 7 or 8. Little boys hump but that's it..intercourse?

Also, I don't think developmental psych has anything to do with a young boy being PHYSIOLOGICALLY able to get and MAINTAIN an erection not to mention ejaculate.

Robber doesn't dress for the occasion

Maybe he'd just stepped out of the shower.

Or he wanted to feel casual.

Police don't know. What they do know is that a man wearing a purple bathrobe :eek: robbed a QuikTrip store at 2801 S. Hydraulic Tuesday night.

If a further description will help in the apprehension of the robber, we will provide it here:

The bathrobe included a braided belt.

The belt was tied neatly in a bow.

The robber wore a dark colored headband. :eek:

Mom Breastfeeds Puppy to Protect Baby

WELLINGTON (Reuters) - A woman in New Zealand says she is breastfeeding her pet puppy because she wants it to protect her baby daughter as they both grow up.



Kura Tumanako told the NZPA news agency Wednesday that she had started breastfeeding the Staffordshire bull terrier pup after her baby stopped taking her milk.


"I didn't want to waste it so I gave it to Honey Boy," she said.


According to NZPA, Tumanako said she had fed the dog twice a day for the past week but would probably wean it off in about six weeks' time. Her baby, now 2 months old, is on bottled milk.


"I wanted to raise it (the pup) with my baby," she said. "I wanted to bring it up with a baby. It will protect her as they grow up," said Tumanako, who lives in Hastings in New Zealand's North Island.


"He drinks more than the baby. It doesn't hurt, but it's a little bit ticklish."

Huh? I'm confused here. Couldn't she have just pumped breast milk for her baby. It wouldn't have "gone to waste" as she so ignorantly put it. And is she insane or something? She really believes that if she breast feeds a pup, that it will grow to protect her child? Hmmmmm.....somethin' ain't right in that noggin. She needs to be careful, though, before that pup ends up nibbling one of her nipples right off. Do you all remember that little boy (I can't remember where he was from) who had a pup that nibbled his fingers so much that when the little boy woke up from his nap, I think two of them were gone?!! That lady best get some hep (yes, hep)!!

Breastfeeding puppies and piglets used to be common among some Pacific island tribes, some of them in Oceania...I wonder if this woman in New Zealand is a member of one of these groups.

I can see why WE think this is crazy, but I can see her side too. I, personally, would have gotten to pumpin' but that's me.

I was going to roll my eyes until I saw:

"The woman, who is 44 and lives in Lake Ronkonkoma, was in critical condition at Stony Brook University Hospital."

That's horrible!

Yeah. The title sounds weird, almost funny, until you realize that the turkey was about 20 pounds and could have taken this woman's head off. She has suffered numerous facial and head injuries, and she will never be the same. I saw a video of the damage done to the car, and I think it's a miracle that she survived. She had 8 hours of surgery to reconstruct the bones in her face.

I really hope that these teens didn't realize that they could do so much damage.

PLANO, Texas (Nov. 23) - With a calm and dispassionate voice and a hymn playing in the background, Dena Schlosser confessed to the unthinkable, telling a 911 operator she'd cut off the arms of her baby girl.

The woman was sitting in her living room covered with blood when police arrived Monday. Her nearly 11-month-old daughter lay fatally injured in a crib in a bedroom of the family's apartment in Plano. The child died shortly afterward at a nearby hospital.

Police have charged the 35-year-old mother with capital murder, but declined to reveal where she is being held.

Schlosser, who had a history of postpartum depression, had been investigated on child neglect allegations earlier this year, but Texas Child Protective Services had recently closed a seven-month investigation, concluding that Schlosser did not pose a risk to her children. Neighbors said she seemed to be a loving, attentive mother.

''There were never any indications of violence with this family,'' agency spokeswoman Marissa Gonzales said. ''The children had always been healthy, happy and cared for.''

But, on Monday, authorities discovered a grisly scene at the family's apartment after the child's father called a day-care center, and asked them to check on his wife and daughter.

Day-care workers called 911 after talking to the mother; an operator then called Schlosser.

Asked if there was an emergency, Schlosser calmly responded ''Yes,'' according to 911 tapes released by police.

''Exactly what happened?'' the 911 operator asked.

''I cut her arms off,'' Schlosser replied, as the hymn ''He Touched Me'' played in the background.

''You cut her arms off?'' he repeated.

''Uh huh,'' she answered.

It was not immediately clear what instrument was used to sever the baby's arms or why the child's father called a day-care center to check on his family.

Schlosser lived at the apartment with other family members, including her two older daughters. Authorities said the girls, ages 6 and 9, were at school when police arrived, and that their father was at work.

No one answered the door Monday night at the family's apartment in suburban Dallas. Children's bicycles rested near the entrance along with angel garden statues.

Neighbors said Schlosser took her children swimming in the summer, had picnics in the courtyard and walked her baby around the complex the same time each afternoon.

Dena Livingston, 43, said she saw Schlosser making her rounds with the stroller on Sunday. Two days earlier, she saw Schlosser waiting with the baby outside the elementary school where her two other daughters attend.

''She didn't give off like she was in a distant world or didn't care about the baby,'' Livingston said.

Livingston's husband, Brad, added: ''To see her with the girls, you would just think she was a great mother.''

Child-protective officials were interviewing Schlosser's daughters and would talk to the father before deciding whether to remove the girls from the home.

In January, the agency was called to the home after Schlosser was seen running down the street, with one of her daughters bicycling after her, authorities said. When officials arrived, the child told them her mother had left her 6-day-old sister alone in the apartment.

Schlosser appeared at the time to be suffering from postpartum depression and having a psychotic episode, Gonzales said.

Schlosser was hospitalized, and later agreed to seek counseling and saw a psychiatrist, Gonzales said.

''At the time we closed the case, we had been assured that Mom was stabilized and that she was not a risk to herself or her children,'' Geoff Wool, spokesman for the Family and Protective Services Department, said.

Boy Charged With Abducting Exotic Dancer

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (Nov. 22) - A 13-year-old boy was charged with abducting an exotic dancer when she showed up for an appointment at what turned out to be a vacant house with no electricity, police said Monday.

When the woman entered the house at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 16, she realized her client was a juvenile, police spokeswoman Rene Ball said.

The boy told her the contract was for his older brother, but no one else showed up. The woman tried to leave, and the boy pointed a shotgun at her and ordered her to dance for him, Ball said.

She tried to call 911 on her cell phone, but the boy grabbed the phone. The woman bit the boy's hand, broke free and ran to her car.

The boy was arrested Thursday and charged with abduction by force, conspiracy, using a firearm to commit a felony, brandishing a firearm and transporting and possessing an assault firearm at age 13. He was being held at the Virginia Beach Detention Center.

The names of the woman and the were not released.

Police were trying to identify a second juvenile suspected of being involved in the abduction plan.

In a case that the state's top welfare official has called an "unacceptable" tragedy, a 14-month-old toddler died of malnutrition two months after a caseworker noted his small size but accepted his mother's explanation that he had "always been small."

Yesterday, Tahija Handberry, a 22-year-old disabled mother of three from Asbury Park, was charged with aggravated manslaughter and child endangerment in the death of Jmeir White, her middle child, on Aug. 22.

I just saw the print version of this story. The paper took a photo of the mother at her arraignment. Her attorney was on vacation, so she was at the defendant's table, all alone. Very sad.
