Bump for a big fleur-de-lis: I'm 16 weeks pregnant with our second. :D We won't find out if it's a little brother or a sister, but I'm [not so secretly] hoping it's a little Kappa legacy.
|
[Congrats on Baby #2!!!!
Crossing my fingers that it's one that you can dress in pink as well as blue and blue. ;) |
Congratulations! We'll hope for a Kappa legacy, too!
|
Congratulations! That's so exciting!
|
Congratulations! Yay for babies!
|
Congratulations!
|
Fleur de lis: We finally initiated three girls who couldn't make it to our actual initiation!
Broken Key: I left my cell in a taxi and it's pretty much gone forever. |
Fleur De Lis: Summer is just around the corner!!
Broken Key: One more final exam to go =( |
Fleur de lis: I found my lavalier! (from my bf)
Broken Key: I really want to play with mod podge but I can't find my sponge brush! ETA: Just kidding! I found it very close to the first place I looked! New Broken Key: Ew, Phonology hw! |
Fleur de lis: SAPPHIRE BALL TONIGHT!
Broken Key: I have soooo much homework to do before our LAST chapter meeting of the year tomorrrow. :( |
Fleur-de-lis: My HS junior daughter just got her ACT scores and got a 32!! Can you say "full tuition scholarship?" Her dad and I are pumped. :D:D:D
Broken Keys: In her unusually sharp, very competitive public school class of less than 100, there was a 33 and TWO 35's!! The latter included her boyfriend. I didn't care, but it really took the wind out of her sails. She is taking it again in June. |
Congrats wildcatfan! I just looked up the national percentiles (because it has been long enough that I don't even remember my own score). Your daughter (and her over-acheiving friends) all are in the top 1%... so wonderful! I'd personally tell her to spend the spring doing something better than retaking a test that she pretty much Aced (after a certain point, there's only one direction you can go), but that's just me.
I hope Kappa scoops up this incredibly talented potential legacy in a few years ;-) |
Thank you, skylark! I am keeping my fingers crossed about her pledging Kappa, too!! She's always been impressed by Kappa, but her sister is a Theta. . . time will tell.

Fleur de lis: I bought a lot of stuff online recently, so I'm looking forward to getting new clothes in the mail!
Broken key: I found out a scholarship I want to apply for is due A MONTH earlier than it was last year. I need to mail everything (essay, letters of rec, and transcript) by Wednesday. I think I can do it, but I'm SUPER stressed out about it. |
fdl to finals being over...yayyy!
broken key to 12 full pages of broken keys & fleur de lis from the seniors for us to read so they had time to "trash" the house during chapter. booo that. formal chapter was 2 and a half hours long on sunday because it was the seniors last chapter. & congrats to your daughter wildcatfan. 32 is good enough, why is she taking it over?! oh to tell her boyfriend she's smarter :) haha |

The happiest days. . .
Congratulations!!! As Melanie Hamilton Wilkes said in Gone With the Wind, "The happiest days are when babies come." :) (That's a close paraphrase at least; it's been years since I've seen the movie!)

Fleur-dlis also to the KState Gamma Alpha Kappas that won Homecoming (Oct 25th). They were paired with the ATOs and Delta Chis. This link has complete results:
http://www.kstatecollegian.com/2008_homecoming_results And while I'm bragging on the chapter, the Collegian did an article about Gamma Alpha's current president and her participation on this year's Homcoming planning committee: http://www.kstatecollegian.com/stude...ming_committee |
