I'll jump on the whiney train.

One of our departments (the biggest one in the company) has a huge project that they have to finish today, and so my boss isn't going to let us go early because it looks pretty crappy when they're here slaving away and HR is just like "peace out!" so I'm hoping they miraculously finish around 3, but I have a feeling that won't happen.

I just had the borderline mother of a borderline client call and curse me out. It definately is the day before a holiday.........not fun times at all.

I have to go into work at 3, not really looking forward to working 3-8:30 on the day before Thanksgiving.

I hope they let us go early today...

I'm just glad I was able to telecommute today. I'd hate to have to commute in today's holiday traffic.

I have to drive through Hartford today to get to my parents house (I grew up in the burbs of Hartford). Hopefully traffic isn't too nightmarish.

blah 3 hours and 20 mins. We're supposed to be having a meeting with the CFO sometime this afternoon, but he hasn't even come in yet and although he says he'll be in, who knows? I could sure go for a meeting, because I'm not going to start work now.

I'm hoping the boss lets us go at 2pm. He let us go at 2pm last year so maybe he'll be nice again. I just want to get out of here before the traffic really starts.

That bites. Driving through Hartford is no fun even at the best of times - especially on I-84.

oh my gawd we went out for the basketball games last night and I don't think I got to bed until 1 in the morning. I haven't gone to bed that late on a work night in ages. I'm so tired I just want to go home and nap.

Everyone in my tiny office went home. I'm stuck here all by myself. :( It's very lonely and quiet. And I'm hearing strange noises, which is starting to creep me out.

the whole office/plant is pretty much shut down/off so there is nothing to do.. boring...

mary poppins (this is what i call her.. if only you could see her.. my boyfriend even calls her this now) who is suppose to be in charge of letting us leave early hasnt let us go yet.. she is on a power trip since the bosses left her in charge..

..on days like these we can normally leave by 12!!

I'm very excited for the end of the day to get here. The office is closed tomorrow, today was payday, and since I've been laid up since surgery last week I haven't been able to do any after-Christmas sale shopping, so I am highly anticipating my weekend. :D

I was hoping by this time a boss type person would have come around and told us we can leave around 3-3:30. No such luck.

I've been wishing the work day was over since before it began!!
Not only is today REALLY slow and boring, I'm tired because I didn't go to bed until 3am and got up at 7

Can I whine about the fact that I don't want to go back to school? Kids come on Tues, but we have a work day on Monday. Ughhh.....Christmas break has spoiled me!
