Yikes! Stipes!:D (They remind me of that gum. )

They're very cute - although I hope you don't have AGD on your campus. Similar colors + names both starting with Alpha = confused PNMs.

WinniBug 08-10-2008 08:24 AM

LOL
We only have us, ADPi and Chi-O on campus.

lol, it does look like Fruit Stripe Gum

(and someone doesn't know how to spell melon)

RaggedyAnn 08-11-2008 01:15 AM

They look really cute!

cuteASAbug 08-12-2008 09:45 AM

What do I wear on a date with an ex? One that I actually like.

WinniBug 08-12-2008 08:49 PM

Something slutty!
lol

RaggedyAnn 08-13-2008 07:17 AM

Now I was going to say something completely the opposite. I would wear nothing special so you don't come off as desperate. I mean, look good, but not too good.

WinniBug 08-13-2008 08:22 AM

It was a joke...hence the laughter (yeah, HENCE!)
....Your advice is good...I would try to wow him, though. But be subtle about it.

33girl 08-15-2008 12:46 PM

And today, I do the HAPPY DANCE.

cuteASAbug 08-15-2008 04:07 PM

33girl, I love you.

WinniBug 08-15-2008 04:13 PM

Why the Happy Dance?
Did something good happen?
Or just b/c it's Friiiiiiday?

33girl 08-15-2008 04:17 PM

BOTH!!

Also, one of my chapter sisters got engaged!! Yay!

WinniBug 08-25-2008 10:37 AM

Ok, so.....I want your opinion....

I went down to my hubby's hometown this weekend (for his cousin's baby shower). My birthday was Thursday, and his parents didn't even mention it when I was there. I haven't gotten so much as a "Happy Birthday" from either of them. Not even when his sister gave me a birthday card. Hubby and I even had to pay for everyone's dinner Saturday night. Would it be wrong of me to simply send his mom a card with a message in it that says "Glad we were able to take you all out for your birthday" and leave it at that??
(oh, her b-day's about a week after mine...she asked for $$ again in lieu of a gift, b/c she wants to buy herself a Wii that she can't afford)

I have had numerous run-ins with this woman, and each one makes me wish even more that I didn't have to have any contact with her.

RaggedyAnn 08-25-2008 03:18 PM

Personally, she'd get a card. If she had the nerve to ask where her present was, I'd say you assumed she knew you took them all out to celebrate. We don't do presents for the adults in my family though with the exception of the big ones. After high school, we celebrate 21, 30 and I assume it will be 40 next.

WinniBug 08-25-2008 03:49 PM

Lemme tell you what happened either last year or the year before....

Yet again, Joel and I went TO HER to celebrate her birthday. (Remember mine was the week before, and this was the first we'd seen of each other in a couple months) The three of us went to a Mexican restaurant in town, and Joel and I had already discussed picking up her tab for her, we just hadn't told her yet. One of her friends stopped by to chat, and casually asked "Oh, are they taking you out for your birthday?" to which my MIL nastily replied "No, blah, blah, something about paying for her own meal" After her friend left, Joel and I told her, "Actually, we had already decided that we'd take care of your ticket"

She's just a nasty small person.

RaggedyAnn 08-25-2008 04:04 PM

Then, I say you have already set the ground work without knowing it. I'd make it a tradition and make your life easier.

WinniBug 08-25-2008 08:19 PM

They expect us to come back down there next weekend for her birthday...yuck....yeah right

AlphaFrog 08-26-2008 05:40 AM

Y'all make me glad my MIL lives in Mexico.;)

WinniBug 08-26-2008 07:29 AM

Hahaha, I'd love to send mine to another country!

WinniBug 09-07-2008 02:00 PM

So...AlphaFrog informed us on SisterCircle that one of the ANTM contestants is an AΣA...I found this article on her university's website...this is pretty nifty...I hope she does well!!!

RADFORD -- Radford University senior Lauren Brie Harding is a cast member on the upcoming 11th season of America’s Next Top Model.
Harding will be among 14 women competing on the reality TV show, which begins airing Sept. 3 on the CW Network. America’s Next Top Model was created by and is hosted by model and talk show host Tyra Banks. The winner of the show gets an opportunity for a career in the modeling industry.
“I want to become a high-fashion model,” Harding said in an interview with America’s Next Top Model. “That has been my dream, and that’s what I am working toward here. I hope this will be a stepping stone toward being able to be a high fashion model.”
Harding, a Charlottesville native, is a business marketing major and an Alpha Sigma Alpha member at RU.
America’s Next Top Model is one of the CW’s highest-rated programs.

Lauren made it through the first round!

RaggedyAnn 09-14-2008 03:57 PM

It's a small world. I ran into 5 sisters today at the mall. They were on vacation. I was wearing a t-shirt from last year's S June Smith fundraiser.

ASAgirl89 09-16-2008 07:36 PM

And thanks to everyone else too!
I'm so excited to get to know all of the girls in my chapter better :)

HeavenslilAngel 09-30-2008 03:13 AM

Congrats sister!

cuteASAbug 09-30-2008 10:50 AM

Welcome sister! Glad to have you!

sjsoffer 10-06-2008 11:17 AM

We're in first place for homecoming so far this week :)
YAY ASA! One of our lovely girls is a homecoming queen candidate, and we're doing so well so far. That is all.

RaggedyAnn 10-06-2008 02:29 PM

Congratulations!! Keep up the great work!

sjsoffer 10-20-2008 01:02 PM

I'm bored so I thought I'd post...we came in 2nd in sororities for homecoming! Sigma Kappa won, which is great because they worked their butts off! They were definitely at everything, early, in huge numbers.
We placed in just about everything...so I'm super proud of our chapter.

In other news, did I mention I'm bored? :D

WinniBug 11-13-2008 06:49 PM

I've gotta AΣA legacy on the way!!

LouisaMay 11-14-2008 07:38 PM

Congratulations!!!!! :)

WinniBug 01-09-2009 08:26 AM

I didn't know that was the name you picked!! One of my coworkers has a daughter named that as well.

I can't believe you are thisclose to being a mommy. :)

WinniBug 01-09-2009 08:44 PM

Yeah - we decided to go with Annalisse Rose, and her due date is April 9!!
If she's been a Kappa Sig legacy instead, the name would have been Alexander (Xander) Scott.

cuteASAbug 01-13-2009 05:59 PM

If a collegian has a question about Billhighway, I doubt she's going to mail me a handwritten note to ask me.

cuteASAbug 01-15-2009 10:22 PM

I finally got my Phoenix and I am seriously disturbed by it.
