Does anyone else kind of want Zach and Kendall to really fall for each other? I kind of see some redeeming qualities in him lately.

She's pretty pathetic. But Ryan is the one who I'd like to see gone from the show. I've had enough of his screaming.

Some AMC things to ponder:

1. How can there be an ocean in Pennsylvania?

2. Why does nobody in Pine Valley have a doorbell?

3. What is Zach doing with "security cameras" in a bedroom in his hotel? Is he a perv?

4. Are there no stop signs or stop lights in Pine Valley?

5. Does anyone in PV have a 9-5 job?

6. Why is it when Detective Derek takes notes in an investigation, he only makes check marks?

7. Why does nobody lock their doors?

1) I have grown up hearing that CA is going to fall in the ocean and you will be able to purchase beach front property in Arizona. Maybe the samething has happened in Pennsylvania (to me it is not a pleasant thought since daughter goes to school in PA)

What I don't like about AMC right now:

1) Amanda - She's combination of bad acting and a useless character. I usually fast forward thru her scenes.

2) Fake Dixie - If they were going to bring back Dixie they should have brought back the REAL one. I hate this new girl. Her voice is so annoying.

3) Ryan & Greenlee - They're story gets more riddiculous everyday. Ryan loves her so much that he's willing to make her think she's lost another husband. Right. And Greenlee's sperm stealing was too much.

4) Danielle cheating on Reggie with Josh - That was just stupid.

5) The good characters are never seen - Where's Brooke?

6) Sam - He's almost as bad as Amanda.

Geoff, I agree with you about everything except Sam. I thought he was a total useless character until Maria and worthless Maddie left. Now I think he's kinda cute with Lily and the scenes with him and Tad are funny.

Leslie, I wish you were right, because I love the old Dixie.. but that rumor has been going around the internet for nearly a year. Seems the actress who played Dixie said she'd never do it again. But, I still hope you're right.

As for Sam... ugh. I can't stand that character. He looks like a pumpkin head.

Yes, we need more Brooke! I would love, love, love to see Brooke and Tad get back together again!!!

I am SO past the whole Ryan and Greenlee thing. They are just too sappy and lovey-dovey for words.... gag.

I really liked him better with Kendall. They had such a passionate (and yes sometimes disturbed) relationship. He just seemed more like a MAN with her. Now he's just a wuss.

I haven't been able to watch in awhile, so will someone update me? Did Ethan leave the show after Kendall married his father or is he still there? I SO wanted them to get past all their miscommunications and be together. :(


ETA: I would hate to see Ryan leave the show for good though- AMC has had kind of a shortness of incredibly hot guys ever since Leo died. :p

Note to AMC: Please play the "history" card...! I can't believe no one has mentioned how Leo died and that Greenlee has "lost" ANOTHER husband.

I know, what Ryan is doing is wrong and selfish but sometimes you need to do things for yourself -- yes there were probably better ways to this but you have to remember what Greenlee did to him. He didnt want a baby because he knows he knows how he is -- he just needs time to get things together and I think he will be back -- what do you think?

I think there are a lot of incredibly hot guys on AMC. I'd take any of these for my TV boyfriend:

Whinin' Ryan does nothing for me.

I used to love Greenlee as a character, because she was tough and sassy and stood up for herself. But in true AMC character, they ruined her and made her crazy and dependent on men.

Read in the current SOD that Greenlee miscarries. (So sad). She begs to be reinseminated but the doc refuses. Turns out Greenlee suffers from something that won't allow her to carry a baby to term. But Kendall makes the decision that Greenlee is going to have her dream of having Ryan's child.

With that said, I think Kendall is going to volunteer to be her surrogate. How they will work it out is beyond me, but it is a soap opera.




Now a question:

When did Jack become Greenlee's dad? Who is her mom? Who the heck is Lily? And when did Jack suddenly have so many kids.

See I haven't been a regular watcher of AMC but I watch occasionally and constantly read SOD so I'm caught up.

Greenlee's mother is named Mary Smythe and apparently slept with Jack sometime back in the day when she was married Roger Smythe. This all came out in the big drama surrounding the almost wedding of Jack and Erica something like a year and a half ago or something like that. Erica found out that Jack was her father, but hid it from him and Greenlee busted in on the wedding ceremony and announced this, causing Jack to call of the wedding.... And VOILA Jack is Greenlee's dad.

Lily is Jack's daughter who is adopted. She was living in Wherever with I have no idea who. I have no idea how she ended up back in Pine Valley. She also has autism which is why you may have thought that she acted a little bit strangely.

The only other kid that Jack has is Reggie, who he adopted (obviously). He was like the troubled teen, and Jack took him in and turned him into a good kid.

Lily is the daughter of Laurel Banning and Denny Benton, who divorced when Lily was young. Lily is autistic, and Laurel always made sure that Lily was in a school environment that properly could deal with her disorder. When Laurel married Jackson Montgomery, Jack adopted Lily. A few years later, Laurel was killed by a bullet meant for someone else.

Lily lived in a boarding school for autistic children, and Jack would frequently visit her. Eventually, Lily left the school and moved in with Jack, where she had been mainstreamed into public high school.

Now I have some catching up to do. I stopped watching AMC for a while when it got too "preachy." I missed the whole Noah, Julia thing. Can anyone update me on that?

From what I understood something happened and Noah and Julia were forced into the witness protection program. Now Julia is back in town. Someone saw her at Wildwind.

I'm not sure why they were forced into witness protection or why she feels it is safe to come out. (b/c in real life I think most who go into WP end up staying there for a long period of time, if not the rest of their life, which would suck).

I saw a commercial that said she's searching for Noah's murderer.

When their whole story was beginning was about the time I started watching AMC.

I liked them together, and their drama was much fun.... That other girl pretending that she was having his baby?!? :eek: Haha

Anyway, that is sad that he died.

Correct me if I am wrong but this how I know it -- Julia was a witness in an attempted murder and had to testify against a powerful criminal and after testifying, her and noah had to go to a witness protection program to be safe... now she is back to find who killed noah but what I am confused about is why she thinks Zach knows who it is -- does anyone know that?

Anyways, I am really glad to see her back -- cant wait to see where this s/l goes :)

The show was so much better in those days. I really enjoyed the Erica marathon when they showed the old shows where the writing was good, the stories were great, the characters were fun to watch. Now they are the most boring do nothing except show off the young "beautiful" kids who can't act, have no good story lines and are not worth the time or the electric money spent to turn on the TV

I absolutely agree with you. I started watching AMC when it first came on (1969 or something??) I can't even watch it anymore. I think the acting is sadly lacking and the story lines are terrible. I, too, would love to have a DVD of the real early episodes.

And... what is the deal with all of the women in Pine Valley running around in strapless dresses all the time? Are they all going through rush? :D

Jamie is the only one who dresses like a normal person with a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. And, he fills them out quite nicely, thank you very much!

That's so true. Even in winter, they're go strapless. The best was when Greenlee and Ryan broke into Kendall's apartment and Greenlee was going thru her closet and said something like "Ever notice how Kendall always comes to the office dressed like she's going to cocktail hour".

Also, Kendall acting as Greenlee's surrogate is riddiculous. Three months ago she couldn't stand the girl and now she's going to carry her baby. Riiight.

I like the Kendall and Greenlee surrogacy storyline -- love how they have become closer and closer. Greenlee sort of have replaced Bianca -- nice to see Kendall hanging out with more girls

So Alec won I wanna Be a soap star. He will be taking over the recast role of Del. The name rung a bell but I'm not quite remembering him. I wonder who Prudence would have played if she had been the one selected.

I have to admit I wanted Prudence to win last night. I thought the scene between her and Cameron was amazing. Seriously I was bawling my eyes out during their scene. I got slightly teary eyed during Alec and Alexa's scene but only because of Alexa.

I also thought it was awesome how supportive Cameron was too Prudence right before their second performance.

I love that Kendall wants to be Greens surrogate. I wonder how they will make Ryan react to that? I wonder how long they will make Ryan gone? Will he get the shock of his life when he comes back and finds out Greens miscarried (I hope he isn't an ass about it either) and finds out that Kendall is now carrying their baby.


Does anyone else get the feeling that the surrogacy won't be all it's cracked up to be? What I mean, is it is a soap opera there is always conflict in someone marriage, no one stays married long on these shows. I have this funny feeling that something will happen and Kendall's eggs will be fertalized with Ryans sperm instead of Greens eggs. If not, I should be a soap opera writers. LOL

I think that would be great! And a built in story line to get Kendall and Ryan back together which I've been wanting to see for a long time now. I just loved them together. :)

OR, Kendall will just go completely nuts and try to keep the baby for herself. I mean, her mom stole a baby, who's to say she won't too? I would HATE for that to happen and I hope it doesn't, but you never know with these shows. :p

I think Rebecca Budig is leaving the show, so Kendall will end up raising the baby.

I think this whole storyline is stupid. Ryan has mental health issues in his family. Why would anyone want to perpetuate those kind of bad genes? Selfish on Greenlee's part. And... if she hadn't been so selfish Ryan wouldn't be (pretend) dead!

Just b/c you have mental health issues doesn't necessarily mean that you will pass it on to your children. Yes, if you have bipolar disorder you have a greater risk of your children being bipolar but remember they (the child) still has the other set of DNA.


I say this because my grandmother has had mental health issues (depression), as had my mother, brother and I was at a time diagonosed depressed). It doesn't meant I don't want children, because I do. Yes, there is always the fear that your child won't turn out perfect, but you handle it and move on.


I know it's a soap opera, but if my husband went and had a vasectomy behind my back, I would have been livid. Not that I would have gone out and stolen his sperm sample (LOL) but I can somewhat understand Greens reaction to his announcement. That is not something you just do without consulting your spouse (IMPO).

PM_Mama00, let's HOPE she meant that Greenlee is selfish because Ryan believes his issues will be passed down to his children and therefore doesn't want kids...NOT that people with mental illness in real life shouldn't want and have children.

Suffice it to say that the odds of having a child with mental problems is very, very, very great in this case because the father and ALL THREE boys had mental illness. It wasn't just one person in the family-- it was THREE-- two siblings out of three-- and we don't even know if the sister has depression too.

So no, if I were Greenlee, I certainly wouldn't take the chance of bringing another human being into this world to suffer when the odds are overwhelmingly against a healthy child. At the very least, the two should have gotten genetic counseling.

And... Ryan continually said he didn't want children. He made no secret of that, but selfish Greens went and did it behind his back.
