I got some comments, lol

Well, I was sad that Big up and moved to Cali, too, but it was sweet that he left her plane tickets. You KNOW she gon' go out there, so I'm almost sure that he will have some guest appearances.

Ok, for real, who REALLY thought that Richard was gon' last? I mean, when he told Sam that he loved her, it didn't seem genuine to me. I wonder how that's going to affect her character in future shows. I didn't even know it was the finale. Dang. I realized this past Sunday that this is my favorite show!! It ranks right up there with Jeopardy! :)

Now, what tripped me out was Charlotte's date with the crazy dude, LMAO!! His azz was nuts and a little neurotic! If he had been in my place, I woulda been a little scared, cuz he did kinda act out!!

Um, Soror Steeltrap, wth are kitten heels?

Soror Tickledpink, you can do what I'm TRYING to make time to do! I'm going to have a Pamper Monique Day (I do these often, lol), and while I'm soaking the feets or doing my hands, I'm going to watch EVERY SINGLE EPISODE of SATC. Gonna try and rent all the tapes, because although I've been watching pretty much since the beginning, since I'm not a disciplined TV watcher, I missed a lot of episodes, cuz I would forget that it was on. How's that for a run-on sentence? :p

One more little piece of commentary, lol, isn't it a trip how oral sex being performed on women is now becoming more common place on cable TV? You didn't used to see that too much, but now you see it a lot more often. But then again, SATC is lightweight off the chains anyway, LOL!

Soror Ideal, a kitten heel is a shoe heel that is roughly about one and a half or two inches high, well-shaped and very feminine. I like them, being that I'm nearly 5'9" and don't need the height. Shoe makers like Manolo Blahnik, Jimmy Choo, Sigerson Morrison and Kate Spade make kitten heels (yep, I have a pair of KS pink flower print kitten-heel mules).

Here's a link to an eBay listing with a Kate Spade kitten-heeled shoe:

I suppose some shoe-marketing style person or fashion magazine person invented "kitten heels," lol. But they can also come on backless shoes, too.

skeeliteful 02-13-2002 06:53 PM

My take on the whole thang

I, too, was upset when Big left. Not only that...but he was never gonna tell Carrie! I would have been upset if I were her. But I'm sure he'll pop up somewhere. I thought it was sweet he left her tickets to go visit him.

I honestly thought Richard and Samantha were gonna last. At least until the first episode of the next season. But I had to laugh when he said "Oh! This is just sex...but I love you". That was a classic playa line.

Poor Charlotte and the neurotic man hatin' on her place.

Lastly, I have this thing with people's body fluids on me. But when Miranda's water broke on Carrie's foot.....I was too thru!

AKA2D '91 02-13-2002 06:59 PM

what in the world? lol

Carrie was out somewhere in town and saw Aiden (sp?) and he was with Natasha (Bigs ex) and Aiden made a comment to a surprised Carrie "well it looks like we have something in common after all" or something like that.

Did I dream this?? Lol I cant remember!

lmao, seriously!

I think you were dreaming! I've never seen anything like that before!

:D

ClassyLady 02-14-2002 01:05 AM

Everyone is forgetting the most important part of the show. Miranda has a baby!!!! He was so precious and I love that he has red hair like her. But, I have one question about her labor. I know that I have never had any children before, but I've seen my share of women in labor. Everyone that I saw looked like they were in TONS of pain. Miranda wasn't even sweating. Yeah, there are drugs for the pain, but I have never seen them work that well.

As for Samantha, I could kill that dayumed Richard. He just hurt Samantha so much. She finally opened up and gave her heart to a man and look what he does with it. I wanted her to settle down so bad and, now, she probably never will. She'll be 75 and still sleeping around like Blanche Devereaux from Golden Girls. Her heart has probably formed a hard shell-like crust around it that will take the next man 20 years to break through.

Hi ladies! Just popping into your forum with a quick comment. Every time the show starts, I watch the opening credits hoping to see Chris Noth's name. I guess it kills the suspense, but I love Big.

WHAT was Carrie thinking with those pink and red shoes??? Come on, you just KNOW she dropped a pretty penny on them and they were horrible, IMO.

:D

I am SO SAD the season is over!!!!

And Miranda-the way she said Hi to her baby when he held out his arm like that was SO ADORABLE. She reminded me of my best friend, who when her son was handed to her said "Hi little dude"

:)

Not to mention, didn't she JUST have money issues two weeks ago??? Didn't she JUST realize she had $40,000 worth of shoes and no savings?? But she just had to have that flowery mess, though, right? That tripped me out. But what tripped me out even more is that she kept them on after Miranda's water broke on them!! Eeew!!!

Whew! There you all are! You had a sista worried for a minute !:D

Yeah, those shoes were a hot mess! I had the same money issues thought but I just racked it up to tv. It's fiction after all- and if Carrie had to stay in the house, not shopping, eating out or going out for drinks it would be a different show. It wouldn't be Sex in the City, it would be MY LIFE! And who would pay to watch that? (Just kidding, y'all, I am little bit fabulous- just a little. ):D

Steeltrap 02-17-2002 08:26 PM

Good news

I was just on www.hbo.com/city. Thank goodness that there will be a fifth season in June. I hadn't heard anything to the contrary, but I'm still happy to see it on an official basis.

AKA2D '91 02-18-2002 12:34 AM

For future references....

I caught the season finale early this morning. So, we can add Saturday night/ Sunday morning for the repeat shows for the next season.

Steeltrap 02-18-2002 05:59 PM

Why in the world?

This is from PageSix.com. What I want to know is why would they want to muck up the show with this no-talent, overexposed bubblehead?!!

Britney Spears is finally about to lose her virginity - on TV, that is.
The blond pop tart has agreed to play a man-eating temptress on the HBO series "Sex and the City."

Britney - who claims she's going to remain a virgin until marriage - has been lined up to play the sex-mad niece of Samantha, portrayed by sultry Kim Catrall.

In the episode, Britney will seduce Samantha's lover, stealing him from under her nose.

"Samantha thinks her niece is a virgin, but nothing could be further from the truth," a show insider said.

Catrall asked Spears to take part in the show after appearing with her in the film "Crossroads."

Although the cable show features abundant nudity and sex scenes, Britney is not expected to appear in the buff.

Britney is engaged to *NSYNC heartthrob Justin Timberlake, but insists they've never made love, in accordance with her strong beliefs about sex before marriage.

Really, who cares? LOL

Home chick recently said on some show that they were not engaged. Are they or are they not?

Steeltrap 02-18-2002 06:52 PM

Don't know about Twitney's status

I have no idea whether Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake are engaged. Justin Timberlake, however, looks like he doesn't handle business properly.:p :p

Soror, I'm speaking of intimate business. :D
IMO, Justin just doesn't look manly, but maybe that's because I'm old. I suppose that he looks adequately manly to some 20-year-old.:p

THAT'S IT????

The repeats air on this coming Wednesday. And Soror 2d, I think that the new season starts June 2nd. That's what the commercial I watched last night said.

Oh they better be doing more than 2 more seasons. Why is it that shows I like never stay on long, but let it be that reality TV CRAP that I cannot STAND. They never go off.

Sarah Jessica Parker gossip

This is from E! Online. It says that Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are going to have a:

TV | AP TV | Variety TV | E! Online TV

The Producers: Parker, Broderick Expecting!
Fri Apr 5,12:22 PM ET

So this is how actors celebrate the end of a run on Broadway.

Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker and hubby Matthew Broderick, fresh off his mega-successful stint with The Producers, have been busy with some producing of their own: They're expecting their first child this fall, columnist Liz Smith reported Friday.

Parker, 37, and Broderick, 40, will celebrate their five-year wedding anniversary in May.

The big baby news will certainly put a crimp HBO's production plans for Sex and the City (news - Y! TV). The cable network announced Friday it will suspend production on the Emmy-winning series April 10 "in order for HBO to evaluate its production schedule in light of [Parker's] recently announced pregnancy."

Only two episodes of the show's fifth season have been shot. And the season premiere, originally set for June, has now been tentatively pushed back to July. There's also no word yet on whether Parker's advice-dishing alter ego, Carrie Bradshaw, will end up going through a pregnancy of her own on the series.

Meanwhile, Friday's news ought to silence (well, at least temporarily) recent tabloid reports claiming all was not well between Parker and her husband. The gossipy chatter escalated in January, when Parker neglected to thank Broderick when she won a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Musical/Comedy.

Parker and Broderick later insisted to Barbara Walters that their bond is strong. "Come see me in 25 or 30 years when I'm still married to the same man," she said.

For his part, Broderick is finally getting some rest after his yearlong stint starring in Mel Brooks' Tony Award-winning stage version of The Producers. He and costar Nathan Lane gave their last performance in March.

Broderick's next gig is starring in a TV movie version of The Music Man to air on ABC next season.

That, and Lamaze classes.

Peaches-n-Cream 04-06-2002 02:04 AM

A Parker-Broderick Baby! :D

AKA2D '91 04-09-2002 02:53 PM

Well SATC fans, if you were the producer or writer for the show, what would you do?

Would you write it in the show?
End production?
What?

I say, they should write it in. And guess who would be the father...BIG! lmao

Peaches-n-Cream 04-09-2002 10:12 PM

A woman from my high school works for SATC. She does costumes. I'm actually a few blocks away from where they film SATC and the Sopranos.
I think that they should write it in. I like your idea about Big. :D

AKA2D '91 04-28-2002 05:50 PM

The pregnancy will not be written in.

There will only be 8 episodes of the show instead of 13.

Steeltrap 06-04-2002 06:45 PM

July 21, it's baaaack!

HOLLYWOOD, California (Reuters) -- HBO has set 9 p.m. July 21 as the new time for what promises to be one of the biggest TV events of the summer: the season premiere of Emmy-winning comedy "Sex and the City," Variety reports.

The cable network had been set to bow a fresh batch of 13 episodes of "Sex" this month, but that plan went out the window following series star Sarah Jessica Parker's announcement that she was pregnant. Production was halted for a few weeks; HBO execs decided in April to cut the number of episodes in the upcoming season to eight from 13.

With "Six Feet Under" having wrapped its second season Sunday, HBO will fill the 9 p.m. slot for the next few weeks with repeats from "Sex's" recent winter "mini-season."

The upcoming "Sex" episodes will culminate in the show's fourth season finale on September 8. The next week, September 15, HBO will bow the much-anticipated season premiere of "The Sopranos" at 9 p.m., followed by the season premieres of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and "Mind of a Married Man" at 10 and 10:30 p.m., respectively.

Yes, Samantha was wrong. But that's just how she is. I don't see what she sees in Richard. He looks like he will take his last breath any day.

Anyhoo, the Robert/Steve/Miranda thing was so corny. I don't know whty Miranda thought she was all that. And Robert imitating her on the stairs was hilarious. BTW, why did Miranda tell Steve was she said in bed? He looked so :( . Only 7 episodes left. My only consolation is that once SATC is off the new season of the Sopranos will be on.

skeeliteful 01-05-2004 11:03 AM

I can understand how Samantha felt about Smith and how she's used to dating men of a certain calibur (ie: powerful, rich, richard wright)...but she just went about doing things the wrong way. It was nice to see that he stuck around.

I wasn't feeling Carrie's LAVA (I like how she kept saying that) ;) at the end of the last season, but he's beginning to grow on me. I wish a man would cook me breakfast.

Charlotte has entirely too much time on her hands

The elevator scene with Steve, Miranda, and that fine hunk of man Blair was priceless!!! And the stairwell scene...:D

i absolutely love this show and will miss it. i enjoyed last nite's episode!!

i was glad to see the softer side of samantha after she realized her mistake with richard. smith is cute, young maybe, but really cute and sweet. i read a spoiler that samanta is going to go through some things this season, and he is gonna stick by her side.

of course i didn't like carrie and her 'louver' b/c i am praying for a carrie/big reunion.

i hope charlotte has a baby.

i love steve and miranda and blair underwood is SO fine!!

I was not a fan of Sammy Sam Sam and Smith together forever, because the boy is just too young for her. But after Richard basically dropped backside hammer on her, my mind sort of changed.

I also like the "lava," but something tells me that Alex won't be Carrie's man.

Po' Char. She had me CTFU with the hideous Burberry mask, but I loved the small Lambertson Truex handbag. I don't see classic Charlotte carrying funky bags, such as the blue job.

Now as for Miranda/doofaluffagus Steve/Blair, I liked the confrontation but I wouldn't have put Blair in a J. Ho track suit. He's too smoooth for that. :p
