Glenn Jones

His cd has been out since '02, but I've slept on it. I bought it about three or four months ago but never listened to it, but I heard a song on that album last night as I was driving. So I got home, popped in the cd and it's bangin!

CD is called: Feels Good by Glenn Jones.

Does anyone have Jaguar Wright? I know it's old, but I still want it (I don't know why I haven't picked it up yet). The girl can blow and I love the two songs that received a bit of radio play. Whatcha think?

i have it. it's pretty good. i haven't listened to it in awhile but if i remember correctly, i think i liked all of the songs. my sister didn't really care for it because she thought she did too much cursing for it to be r&b.

I just bought it (on sale at Virgin for $10) & have been playing it all week. Go get and add to your collection...I had the same feeling like when I bought Maxwell's Urban Suite for $7.99-I thought I had heard fo him & figured for the price I wouldn't be too mad if it wasn't good...and we know what Maxwell's Urban Suite turned into...I think the same will happen for Van Hunt...he's good friends with Alicia Keys & has been in the scene for a while...this cd will blow up once word of mouth spreads...

Yes I have it as well, and I only listened to the one song that use to get radio play, but I felt that it had way to much cursing in it as well. When I played the CD, I was like WTH!!!!

Jill Speaks

Whass up good people?
I'm back!!!! I know. I know it's taken me some time to come out with a
new studio album but guess what? life takes time and I had to live a
very "real" life to make this very real music. All I can say is that I
hope, with all my heart, that you enjoy this new voyage "Beautifully
Human": Words & Sounds, Vol. 2.
I feel so incredibly blessed that you'd like to hear more from me.
Believe me when I tell ya, I heard your big mouths (relax). I heard you
at the market, at the doctor's office, and even at church. I heard you
at the movie theatre, on Okayplayer.com and Jillscottonline.com too. I
heard you -- but it was very important for me to just be Joyce's
daughter for a while and I thank you for your patience, prayers, support
and faith in a North Philly jawn like myself. I know for sure it was you
who told that friend who told that friend and created this giant buzz.
Again, thank you.

With this new album, "Beautifully Human" I did my best to dig down deep
and say what comes from my heart. Of course, I did have my creative
fixes while I was missing from the public eye, I filmed a Showtime
movie called Cave Dwellers with Kyra Sedgwick, Aidan Quinn and Kevin
Bacon. And I hope you watched me shake things up as a love interest on
four episodes of "Girlfriends." Also, the folks over at St. Martins
Press signed me to a book publishing deal, so look for a book of poetry
from me soon.

Now, well rested and at peace with myself, I am ready for you to hear
what I've been crafting in the studio. I'm inviting you to look out for
my new album, Beautifully Human. Like my first collection of songs, I
pray this speaks to your heart because it came from mine.
Hey, it's good to be back and I hope to see you soon. Spread the word, I
am back and the new music will be available on August 31st.

Peace Always,
Jill Scott

From EUR Web...Boys II Men

BOYZ II MEN HAVE GROWN
Super group is back with new set.

*Boyz II Men has had the guts to set it
off in the studio yet again. The group hasn't been
away from the studio more than a couple years,
but it seems much longer and this time they're
going to do it on their own label.
One of the most successful music groups
of all time has returned with a new album, titled
"Throwback." The set will drop August 24 as
a collaboration between their label, MSM
Music Group and KOCH Records.
The group has gone through its ups and
downs, especially with losing the partnership
of their dear friend and member Michael "Bass"
McCary, who has chosen to retire.
The label MSM Music Group stands for the
last names of the artists that are still with the
group: Nathan Morris, Shawn Stockman
and Wanya Morris.
"Throwback" exhibits their interpretations
of classic pop and R&B hits including Michael
Jackson's "Human Nature," Hall & Oates'
"Sara Smile" and Al Green's "Let's
Stay Together."
The album's first single is their rendition
of Bobby Caldwell's "What You Won't Do For
Love," that features a contribution from veteran
rapper MC Lyte.
"This is our chance for creative expression,
considering we've been tied to major record labels
for our first twelve years in the business," explained
Nate. "The labels would think that an album like
this wouldn't be financially viable for them. But
we decided that our first album back would be
something that we wanted to do."
Not only are they producing their own
record they are in the process of signing new
talent to MSM. They also plan to go back into
the studio to record another studio album soon
after the release of "Throwback."

Angie Stone

As I watched 106 & Park the other day, I saw Angie Stone's new video. I was feeling the video and the song. I hadn't heard anything about her coming out with a new album so I was great to see her face! The song was bangin' too!

RBL 06-06-2004 07:15 PM

Check out

He sings on a few Kanye tracks and also on the Slum Villiage record.

I haven' t seen the video in its entirety, but I watched these clips. I love the song. I know I'll pick up her CD when it's released. :D

Stevie Wonder has new music being released this summer. He will be on Oprah today. It will be refreshing to hear something new from Mr. Wonder. His release date has been pushed back. The disc was slated to drop this past March.

Oprah was so good yesterday. I enjoyed all of the songs that Stevie sang. I had to pull out my collection and refresh. For those who watched Oprah, do you remember the song that Alicia Keys said was her favorite. I've been trying to find it, but can't. Help me out.

Gina1201 06-11-2004 02:42 PM

I really like the beat to Nelly's new song "Flap Your Wings". AOL users can listen to it through AOL First Listen.

Proverbs31 06-11-2004 11:41 PM

I'm not much of a Ludacris fan, but i'm really feeling his new single. It kinda mixes in the song "Diamond in the back, sun roof top, diggin' the scene with a gansta lean...". Does anyone know the name?

skeeliteful 06-11-2004 11:44 PM

It's called "Diamond in the back"

Ok, these are my favorite songs right now:

Slow Motion, Juvie
Selfish, Slum Village feat. Kanye

I bought Truth Hurts' new CD today. Raphael Saadiq is the Executive Producer. It's cool. My favorite tracks right now are 1, 3, 4, 9, and 10. I don't have *one* fave yet. So far, I don't think there's a track I don't like. Definitely better than the first. Sorry, Dre, you my boy, but Raphael got you.

I just noticed that Raphael Saadiq has a CD in stores now? Dang, I ain't see it. I'm going back tomorrow with my Best Buy Rewards coupon!

I been waitin' on GC for HOURS. That's my excuse for rambling. :)

Foiled again. It looks like this came out in October. Does anyone have All Hits at the House of Blues? It has some old TTT tracks on there at the end. I wonder if it's just a CD of him performing live? There's a song on there with Goapele, though. I'm still going to get it, lol.

Senusret I 06-13-2004 06:35 PM

Lenny Kravitz

The new album is called Baptism and it is good.

I pretty much have never disliked a Lenny CD though, so I might not be the best judge.

Favorite track so far: "The Other Side." It starts off smooth like....he does some things with his voice and tone that remind me of the Beatles. And god bless whoever said to put a saxophone solo in that song. :)

I used to think that one line was dig in the seam with a gangsta lean. I thought he was leaning real hard in the seat, so hard he felt the seam...just laughing at myself, sorry...

Gina1201 06-22-2004 02:01 PM

You can listen to Brandy's entire album, Afrodisiac, on MTV. Her album drops on Tuesday.

kiml122 06-22-2004 02:31 PM

What I am listening to right now is the #10 track on the Luther CD. I can't think of the name of it, but it's the song that he does with Queen Latifah.

Ideal08 06-22-2004 04:32 PM

I really like Angie Stone's song with Snoop. I've only heard it once on the radio, but I just saw the video on Launch. I like the video, too, lol.

Ok, now we all know how I feel about Usher and his confessions, but DAMN if he don't look GOOD in that video. Hmph, hmph, hmph. He should never shave again. That beard makes him look older and sexy as hell. But, why we gotta keep seeing his ring? Other than that, it was a good video. Dance for me, Usher! I'll give you a dollar in your pants!! :p

Sorry I just saw this....The House of Blues is a live cd of him performing TTT songs and songs from his most recent cd-Instant Vintage...if you're a fan its definitely worth getting.

I like that song and video as well. They it a lot here, and it's getting good rotation on digital cable as far as the video. The little boy at the end of the video with the brown sweat suit on cracks me up.

Anyone that has seen the video, where have I seen the delivery guy before?

allsmiles_22 06-23-2004 10:12 AM

Brandy's album.........

Is on MTV's Leak: http://www.mtv.com/music/the_leak/br...ac/index.jhtml
