Congratulations to all three groups!

Tippiechick 03-24-2004 02:52 PM

Good luck to all three! I can't wait to find out who is chosen... Again, congrats!

SoProud2BeAnAlphaXi 03-24-2004 07:10 PM

Congratulations to all three groups! Any one of them would/will be an excellent choice for FSU.

I must say, though, I am sad for our Tally alums (all 107 of them, BTW) who were really excited about this possibility. We have a founder of our chapter at FSU getting her Order of the Diamond pin (75 years) in a couple of weeks at Founders Day, and everyone was hoping that we'd be in the presentation mix, if only for her! Oh, well ... onward!!

Best of luck to AOPi, SK and SDT (and to the women of Gamma Lambda who will hopefully find a home with one of them as part of the new colony!).

pirepresent 03-24-2004 08:06 PM

Good luck to all three!!! They are all great groups and would have a lot to offer the FSU community!

OleMissGlitter 03-25-2004 10:44 AM

Congrats! I know any of the three would be great additions to the FSU campus! I'm so proud AOII made it to the final three! That is great news!

kdonline 03-25-2004 08:23 PM

I know this is moot, but most of the members of the DPhiE chapter @ Florida International Univ (FIU) in Miami are NOT Jewish. In fact, I believe most are Catholic.

(Many of my former students went to FIU & pledged DPhiE..)

WCUgirl 04-20-2004 12:30 PM

Any updates on the presentations?

PenguinTrax 04-20-2004 02:01 PM

Sigma Delta Tau is presenting this Wednesday at 530 PM.

Sigma Kappa is presenting Friday at 530 PM.

Alpha Omicron Pi has withdrawn from the process.

The decision will be announced on Monday.

Everyone is very excited about this process and is looking forward to an excellen outcome.

Diamond Delta 04-20-2004 04:12 PM

Good Luck to Both!

Good Luck to both. Both are great national groups. I am alittle biased toward Sigma Delta Tau though! But both would be great!:)

WCUgirl 04-20-2004 04:38 PM

How come AOII withdrew from the process? Hmm. That's disappointing!

Thanks! Please keep up updated...you know how antsy we can get!!! :D

ashgal6184 04-20-2004 04:50 PM

AOPi was in consideration for the new sorority at Clemson, but one of our drawbacks against chosing them was that they were also in strong consideration to colonize at FSU and they would have to build a house there, whereas the wouldn't have to build one at Clemson. So what happened?

BaylorBean 04-26-2004 11:34 AM

How did the presentations go? Any word yet?

No word yet. I think they are meeting this afternoon to open the ballots and make the announcement.

As soon as I hear anything, I'll let you know.

Yippee!! Good luck to Alpha Phi and Delta Phi Epsilon, but obviously, I hope AOII will be recolonizing our Alpha Pi chapter!!! :D

JohnnyCash 03-21-2010 04:13 PM

Have all these groups been at FSU before, or is AOII the only group that previously had a chapter there?

Jill1228 03-21-2010 06:04 PM

I know Alpha Phi had a chapter there back in the day. Dunno about DPhiE

All three previously had chapters at FSU, DPhiE was on campus two or three years before AOII and it's their Iota chapter. I think Alpha Phi's chapter is a Gamma level chapter. AOII, of course, doesn't name our chapters in order.

I heard from one of our sisters today that AOII is 'installing' a chapter at FSU. I don't know what installing means, whether they were chosen or just competing against the others for the spot.

They're competing against the other two. Your sister was confused. :)

SWTXBelle 03-21-2010 08:49 PM

Any of the three would be great, but . . .

Gotta pull for Alpha Phi - then we'd have the all the Triad!:)

I have a couple of friends at FSU who is an ADPi and a Zeta. They said that they are pretty sure that AOII is one of the 3 that are up to colonize. I don't know who the other 2 chapters are, but I am very excited about who they get to choose!

mittens, sweetie...are you having a stroke?! We're presenting anytime from the 22nd through the 30th. It's between us, DPhiE and APhi. It's just not a sure thing that we're installing a new chapter. I will definitely be one of the three of us chosen to colonize :)

FSUZeta 03-24-2010 05:49 PM

I think "up to colonize" meant they were one of the groups presenting and therefore could be selected to colonize. :)

hootiecutieee 04-15-2010 01:53 AM

alpha phi

alpha phi will be colonizing at fsu!!!
