I wanted Kwame to win, but I knew he wouldn't. Kwame was a little too laid back.

tld221 04-15-2004 11:04 PM

a little too obvious that kwame wasnt going to win... i mean damn!!!!

i mean, you chose omarosa... that says enough. i think she won. she got the most airtime, and she is working her air time to the fullest. if u think she isnt gonna get hers, someone done lied to u!

and can we hooks sistas weave up? i mean really.

its an american idol thang yall... bill won, but omarosa is gonna get more play. perhaps kwame will, but he really messed up.

back to the show...

RedefinedDiva 04-15-2004 11:07 PM

Someone needs to beat Omarosa's butt (of course that's not the word I want to use). I feel that SHE is the reason that Kwame didn't win.

SouthrnBelle 04-15-2004 11:17 PM

You're fired!

Kwame should have told Omarosa that chit! I'm too mad. He had no business picking her in the first place. She's no good, but I bet you people are gonn abe offering her jobs left and right. I wouldn't let her work for me.

The bogus part about it is she has no shame.

yep, me too. it's like she was jealous of him and it seemed if she couldn't have the job, then she was going to make sure he didn't get it either.

stardusttwin 04-16-2004 12:30 AM

Trump was on the local news and he confirmed - Kwame lost because of how he handled (or didn't handle) Omarossa. Kwame was too laid back. Although I was mad at Heidi saying she wanted to be micro managed more! Who wants to be micromanaged? Get off your behind, ask questions and get the job done. However, I can't even be mad because more than once Kwame should have pulled O to the side and told her to get it together.

Well, congrats to Bill-I don't like his frenetic style but if Kwame had to lose at least it was to someone decent.

Did you peep how annoyed Trump was with O this evening?

Ok former beauty queen.....5,4,3,2...1 - your 15 minutes of fame are up....do not pass go...take your tiara and run before the masses whip your behind good   .

I'm still sulking...

First thing's first: Omorosa is a TRICK! I can't stand that trick. She has done a great job making society think that black woman is the way she is. She's tacky, ugly, bad-made, ugly, tattered, etc...I can't stand that TRICK! And she is the VERY reason why Kwame didn't win! I mean, it was her place to help the brotha out, but she did the exact opposite. Why are we so against each other as a race? Omorosa has no shame--and that's the sad part. I can only imagine what she's like in her marriage. SHE'S A TRICK!

I really hate that Kwame didn't win. I wanted him to win badly. But he was a little too laid back, because a person like me would have snapped on Omorosa's arss a long time ago. If he had done that little piece, he would have been the apprentice. But looking at it from the spiritual eye, it wasn't for him, and he is going to be successful regardless.

The langauge I used last night was definatly not becoming of an Black man or an Alpha Man to describe Omorosa. I have not been that heated in a while. I guess it did bother me she was a Black Woman(Cause not every Black woman is my sister as is not every black man is my brother). I thought if nothing else she could have been honest and I was like damn I know people are going to watch this and get a bad impression of progressive black women!

That's exactly what I said. I'm sure some people already have a bad impression of us, African American women (domineering, quick tempered, agressive, etc.). She's the epitome of WACK! I can't stand her. And it bothers me so much more to know that she, a sista, was the reason why Kwame didn't win. WACK!

I am glad Donald shut her down after the show and put her in her place!

vanda 04-16-2004 10:43 AM

Did you see how she skirted answering Donald Trump when he asked her why she lied? No one hugged her at the end, only Trump shook her hand. They did a live interview here with Trump since Bill is from here and basically he was saying Kwame would have had it if he had fired Omarossa. It was a given one of the projects was going to be the Chicago project. Oh how I wanted Kwame to be in Chicago. I would go downtown so much more then.

Yeah, I saw how they treated her. I think Trump did the right thing by bustin' her lying azz out on television. He made his point by asking her what he asked. And of course, she avoided the question by trying to be smart with Trump?! Trick, you're just making yourself look bad. If anybody wants to work with Omorosa they're crazy. I can't imagine how her husband is? I can't see her being married because she's coo coo!!! And stop wearing those short tail skirts, TRICK! You're not cute...you don't look cute. And stop wearing red lip stick because your lips are UGLY!

Neosoulchild 04-16-2004 10:57 AM

Why Do You Think Kwame Picked Omarosa So Soon?

I mean it's not like Bill would have picked her anyway. I honestly think it was because she was an African American woman and the backlash he would have received for not picking her would have been terrible. I mean we already know Omarosa is crazy and doesn't have a problem lying to stir any controversy. I wouldn't have put it past her to start a tantrum right then and there about the brother having lost his identity or some crap like that.

The man was trying to do the right thing, and that Trick (as Delph so eloquently puts it) messed him over.

Taken from this article
My personal choice for winner, Kwame, lost, but don't think of him as a loser. One of the top guys at his old shop, Goldman Sachs, personally e-mailed him an invitation to return to the firm at a substantial salary.

Kwame declined the offer, he said, and will instead branch out on his own with some college buddies from North Carolina. They're going into the business of raising financing for upscale black films, which is a great idea.

Lady Pi Phi 04-16-2004 03:14 PM

I was watching Access Hollywood last night and Omarosa was on. She was saying she will now be starring in Herbal Esences commercials.
she was even practicing her hair flip on national tv.

Ereka was also on, and she told AH that she was seeking legal advice and considering suing O for slander.

SKEEphistAKAte 04-16-2004 03:25 PM

Last night's episode had/has me so pissed. I felt the same way most of you all do. I couldn't believe how she screwed Kwame over like that. I think that he picked her because he wanted to give her another chance after recommending that she be fired before. She is so freakin' incompetent.
I felt bad for Kwame because he did not realize that he had the authority to fire her. He even said that he would if he could have. Kwame just picked a bad team, they were all sorry. I think Kwame and Bill needed to trade teams. Bill's team wanted him to lay off and Kwame's team wanted him to micromanage them.
Omarossa is an embarassment to black women everywhere. She did that mess on purpose- upstairs trying on hats with Jessica when she KNEW Trump was on his way to meet her. Just foul.

Yeah, I agree with most of you all also. I wanted to throw a shoe at the TV when Omarosa lied about getting Jessica Simpson from the airport. She told a BOLD-FACE LIE. She is just FOUL. I was thinking that exact same thing: why did he choose her, and why didn't he check her when she, Heidi, and Troy messed up? I would've had to tell Omarosa to kick rocks--she messed up twice. His "buddy" Troy messed up too, and we all know Heidi is a lazy arse anyway ("I need to be micromanaged" wanh wanh wanh)...Kwame didn't have to get mad, but he should have held a brief (5 minute) meeting and STERNLY told them that they need to get it together. Kwame got the harder job, and he chose the wrong group of people to work under him. Had he chosen a better group, and checked his team when they weren't performing satifactorilly, he wold have won. Trump wanted to pick him (you could just tell). Nevertheless, Kwame is a smart brother, and I know he will be successful.

I'm glad that Donald busted her out after the show too. Now, NO ONE is going to belive her statement about Erica making racial remarks towards her.

ETA: And about O doing those Herbal Essence commercials: WOW! First of all, her hair is not even bangin' to begin with, and second, I thought you had to be at least moderately attractive to play the part (her attitude makes her look like a disgusting creature that crawled out of a hole).

vanda 04-16-2004 05:55 PM

Herbal Essence

If she endorses any shampoo it should be Mane & Tail because she has a horse face.

skeeliteful 04-17-2004 11:03 AM

My thing is....Kwame was gonna end up with Omarosa anyway because Bill WAS NOT going to pick her at all. Second...if Trump would have let them know they could have fired people, I'm sure Kwame would have done that after he found out she messed up Jessica's travel arrangements.

But in the end, it is Kwame's fault for not pulling her to the side and letting her know that her stunts were not necessary (they were looking for her and her arse is modeling hats  )

I think Kwame is gonna be doing great things in the future. When he found out he lost, he should've just threw up the Kappa sign and did the Kappa shimmy off the stage... ;)

Steeltrap 04-17-2004 11:06 AM

NuQueen04 04-17-2004 12:34 PM

Omarosa's behavior really "special." "Special" meaning short school bus riding special. Maybe "touched" would be a better word. Either way, she is sick. The fact that she single handling sabotaged Kwame proves that she has some serious issues, definitely "crabs in a barrel" mentality, jealously and envy to name a few.

If really makes me wonder if we as a black community will ever be able to unite. I understand that she is an individual, but as a black woman I hold her to higher standards. In that, she as a black woman on television is really a representative of all black women in society, whether she liked it or not. She had the opportunity to display the strength, poise, and resilience of black women. Instead she chose to perpetuated the stereotype about black women being "witches" amongst other things.

Did you see the way Jessica and Nick were looking at her when she was in the room trying on hats?? They must have been thinking "WTF". In no way shape or form did Omarosa conduct herself as a professional. Her character is truly lacking. I really have to wonder how in the world did she make it this far and when will her 15 minutes be up. It was so funny watching her on Oprah... LOL, you could just tell that Oprah could not stand her.

I understand that Kwame did not know that he could fire her, but he should have took her aside and told her off in the most professional manner. If he handled Omarosa better, he would have been selected as the apprentice. I am glad that Kwame has positive black women in his life or this experience would have twisted his views on black women.

mu_agd 04-19-2004 07:27 AM

and Trump's annoyed with Omarosa...

Here's another story about her...

According to this weeks US Weekly, Omarosa was "begging to be a judge at the Miss USA pageant". A pageant insider was quoted as saying she wouldn't stop calling and there was no way they'd make her a jduge since Mr. Trump is annoyed. it says that after she was turned down she claimed that Trump insisted she get 4 VIP tickets to the event. the source is then quoted as saying they just laughed.

delph998 04-19-2004 09:54 AM

More Omorosa...

Did you all see The Apprentice Dateline Friday night? It gave a recap of the show, and showed how Omorosa stayed on the red carpet the entire night trying to get publicity. She's really crazy. We need to pray for her, because she has MAD ISSUEZ! I really wanna know how functionable that marriage is.

Dionysus 04-19-2004 09:56 AM

AngelicWings21 04-19-2004 10:11 AM

Did anyone catch Bet Nightly News on Friday?
Well Kwame was on there ...and was asked why he chose Ms. O?
He answered....well mos def he was going to choose Troy, and then Katrina b/c he never had a chance to work with her & thought she would of been essential....but Bill got her first...so he went for Omarosa...he didn't want her to be picked last....& he felt that she could help him a whole lot.....but as we all know....she didn't help him one bit...

I forgot the name of the guy on there....but he was from Black Enterprise....he made some pretty good comments....he said he felt Omarosa was the worse example of a professional black woman....he made a very good point.....out of all the black women that tried to be on the show....did they actually think Omarosa was the best....the best example????

Well I gotta agree...Omarosa...mos def...made prof. black women....look....I can't find a word...someone give me a word to describe her character....I could give them a handful of some serious prof. black women...and they would give Ms. O a run for her money....

They knew Omarosa was crazy, and that's why they picked her. A simple background check in her biggest selling point (her jobs at the White House) showed that she was a trouble maker, and that's what they were looking for... ratings. I just hope that next season the trouble maker isn't black.

My mother's a nurse and has a bit of dry humor. She says, "I didn't want to believe this, but in my older age I've come to believe that we are not only oppressed (just being black we're oppressed), but many of us are also mentally ill and don't even know it. So we go around creating drama everywhere we go."

I laughed when she said this because I know she's serious, but trying to be a comedian about it at the same time. So I've sinced coined the term "OMIs," Oppressed and Mentally Ill.

I think Omaraso is in the OMI category.

I just heard on the radio that people have bombared the Herbal Essence people with emails, etc saying that if Omarosa is their spokes person that they would boycott the product.
Herbal Essence has released a statement saying they have shot some commercials but no final decisions have been made whether or not they will show them. They have also said the Omarosa is NOT their spokesperson.

Also, it has been rumored that she said to an airline ticket agent (can't remember which airline) "Don't you know who I am?!" when he refused to upgrade her coach ticket to first class.

But apprently she will have a guest spot of Passions (I think can't remember which soap)
