I love these. But they're too extravagant for my budget. I just got a pair of black patent Tod's at a resale store for $22.50.;)

Hard to fit feet

I always have a hard time finding cute but comfortable shoes. I wear a size 5 1/2, but I have a wide foot. It is sooooo difficult to find shoes that are fashionable but won't kill my feet. The best shoe I have found so far is the Liberty by Enzo Angiolini. If I buy them in a size 6, they will work for me. I have this shoe in eight different colors. Very boring, but practical.

You need to go to Naturalizer - seriously, our shoes are really cute now, we have a few new buyers.

EtaPhiZTA 06-21-2004 05:34 PM

Thanks!

Thanks so much for the info. I haven't looked at Naturalizer in many years; they used to remind me of my nana's shoes. I teach first and second grade students and I am on my feet all day. I need to find something that is comforatble!:D

They're getting muuuch better! I work at a concept store in Wisconsin and we're testing some great Manolo replicas right now. :D

ILLINIgirl 06-21-2004 06:50 PM

I love Rocket Dog sandals! I think I have them in every color a girl could need (white, navy blue, black, kacki, light pink, black w/pink straps) I love them because they add 2 or 3 inches to my height (I'm 5' 2") and they are soooo comfortable! :D

They really have changed. I never even thought about Naturalizer before but they're everywhere now. And looking cute too.

cuaphi 06-21-2004 08:31 PM

I just bought these. After having to e-mail back and forth with the company I may have scored the last 7.5's in brown but I'm very happy.

CarolinaCutie 07-12-2004 01:01 AM

I need shoe help. I want a GOLD shoe. I'm talking shiny, metallic gold. I want it to be a non-flat, strappy shoe that I could wear with jeans to go out. I see them all the time but I can never find a pair in stores! Under $100, please. Can anyone help?

piphimaggie 07-15-2004 11:10 PM

I love Cole Haan and Weitzman........Donald Pliner also makes a very comfortable shoe.....beware of Via Spiga....look gorgeous, but they fall off your feet every other step!

I look for the bargains when possible....like the TEN DOLLAR Ferragamo sandals I have :D

TTT/Manolo Blahnik gossip

BLAHNIK BLACKLISTED BY MADONNA

Footwear king Manolo Blahnik has lost one of his best customers, Madonna, after criticizing the superstar's acting ability.

The shoe designer admitted he was unimpressed with the Material Girl's movie outings -- despite the singer declaring his designs were "as good as sex -- and they last longer."

Blahnik sent Madonna a written apology, but received a stern reply, saying
the star would not accept his sorry and has refused to buy any Blahnik shoes since.

No biggie. I think we're all obsessed with shoes and purses so that fits in here just as well as in its own thread.

valkyrie 09-02-2004 04:50 PM

Sounds like Madonna needs to get over herself.

norcalchick 09-02-2004 04:53 PM

Does anyone know of any good sites for Manolos? Not that I'm getting any, I just want to look at the prettiness.

Does anyone else have cute shoes like this? I am trying to find some non tennis shoe type shoes to wear with jeans and stuff in the winter...I'd probably want black. I think I like the ones above but I'd have to see them on.

KellyB369 09-06-2004 09:10 PM

Also, who has cute black knee high boots and where did you get them from? I want to invest in some nice ones that will last a while.

hottytoddy 09-06-2004 11:02 PM

I got the CUTEST pair of Jimmy Choo strappy heels at this store that carries shoes that were mabe part of a display or something. Y'all will NEVER beleive what I paid for them....anyone care to guess?

KellyB369 09-07-2004 11:26 AM

$50?

hottytoddy 09-24-2004 03:12 AM

Nope. $24.99. I almost hyperventilated (sp?)

I've also bought Chanel shoes there, Dolce & Gabanna, Marc Jacobs, Stuart Weitzman, Coach

But they mostly carry BCBG, Nine West, Bebe, ALDO, Charles David, Enzo etc... Which are still good. They have some cute ones. Not one pair over $24.99.

norcalchick 09-24-2004 04:30 AM

Luis Vuitton has these reaallllly cute pumps. They're pleated pumps. http://www.vuitton.com/ Of course I'm not getting them because they're almost $700, and I'm not that crazy.

Sister Havana 09-24-2004 11:47 AM

Hottytoddy, where is this store? We need to have a giant GC field trip to it! :D

Steeltrap 10-14-2004 08:46 PM

Chinese Laundry? Steve Madden? I don't know who. I love Manolo, but some of his stuff is over-the-top (I'm thinking about the Okla Mods).
