Update...

hey y'all!

just thought i'd let you know that after much thought, i've concluded that it's best for me and ol' dude to be just friends. i've gotten lectured by 100,000 people about the pros and cons of a potential relationship. i know that ultimately, GOD has someone out there better...so this concludes this soap opera!

THE END!

comments please...

NO! NO! NO! What about the book? the movie deal? D, I already got a house picked out in Hollywood?

Seriously, if this is what the Lord is telling you, you're wise to go with it. (But I'm wonderin' did anybody ever tell D998's daddy?)

Well, I can sorta vouch for her. . . now when I spoke to her, she was at the stepshow Friday night and on the plots after the game on Saturday, but we never did officially "meet" because it was just too durn many folks there! But we did speak on several occasions and she said she had a good time!

I didn't wanna get nosey and ask who she was with, 'cause I figgered it was none of my business, especially since I ain't never laid eyes on the girl! ;)

...what you think, ladygreek? has D998 enlisted btb87 in her nefarious cover story or is this legit? With D's past behavior, I just don't know what/who to believe

btb, was any money discussed in exchange for your providing the previous post? and D998 shole is mighty quiet this moanin' ain't she?

YOu got a point. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

delph998 10-28-2003 12:33 PM

I'm gone for twelve hours, and this is what happens! Y'all are dead wrong. North Carolina has nothing to do with my change of heart.

I have prayed long and hard about this situation, and I know that the Lord has someone out there better for me. I thought about the baggage that he's carrying. Dang, it's a lot. He's been married TWICE and he has two kids by two different women. I don't know anything about that lifestyle. Quite frankly, I never wanted to deal with that lifestyle. I truly believe that he's a great guy. He's so cute! I like him a lot, but there are a lot of cute guys with a lot of great things going on, but that doesn't necessarily mean that he's a great guy for me.

Sooooo, that's why I'm where I am. I think it's best to nip in the bud now, instead of kickin' with him some more and start developing feelings for him. We're already super close--we can talk about any and everything. I just want it to stay that way, without any intimacy.

So there you have it.

BTB87, I wanted to see you so badly! I was kickin' it with a soror that graduated from A&T, her husband, and my sister. Now, y'all don't have to assume that somebody else caught my attention! Y'all are too funny for me!

btb87 10-28-2003 01:13 PM

Hey girl!

Del, I wanted to meet up with you too! Who knows - maybe next year? I'm just glad you had fun up in Aggieland!

TonyB and Ladygreek, I can vouch that no money has changed hands, so no, I'm not covering for her. Not even a discussion of it.

Dang! I shoulda thought of that before I went to NC! :( Coulda had my car payment for the month!

delph998 10-28-2003 01:32 PM

Oooh listen to you! I thought we were tighter than that!!;)

I still have your number, so expect to get a phone call here and there!

Guess what Ol' Dude Did!!!

Tuesday night, I invited him over so we could talk. I told him that I think we should be friends and he said he "felt" like that would be best for the both of us because he doesn't want to hurt my father's ministry if anything went wrong. So we ended on a very nice note.

Wednesday night at Bible Class...he came with another woman and they sat by each other like HUSBAND AND WIFE almost! Technically, I shouldn't have been affected, and I really wasn't because he has that right. But dang, that fast!!! What do you all think?! Was he running game, Tony? Get ready to get your belt...

Hell yeah he was running game!!! Girl... why are you shocked? Oh you thought I was hating? I told you that man ain't mean you well.

The same thing he did to his first two wives, he would've done to you. Don't fall for that "game" anymore.

A MAN WILL DO WHAT YOU ALLOW HIM TO DO.

Ummm, I didn't think you were hating. Never said that ever. I thought you were voicing your opinion like everybody else.

And I allowed him to take me out on a date. Nothing serious happened beyond that point, so I still don't see myself as getting played. Mistake made, lesson learned. Thanks for your advice.

Memo: Somebody please send the "Minnesota playas" the new handbook. It's clear they are still working out of the 1985 edition

On the real, however, I'm glad you got out with your heart in tact and saw for yourself that men/boys make look similiar but there's a world of difference between the two of us. And I'm glad yall went out because now you don't have to wonder "what if?"

...of course this woulda made a hellified scene in the MOVIE DEAL I had worked up, but that's gone now. (ok, breafe, breafe, I'm cool now.)

p.s. ...so whose turn is it to check credentials for the next time we let D998 go out again? ladygreek? Gryl 7? btb87?

I'm gon go sit down somewhere. dis chile dun wo' me out.

LMAO @ the movie deal and the scene in the movie. If you all need someone to play me, choose Regina King BKA Brenda Jenkins. :D

I think the difference between men and boys is that men don't get caught. Also, men aren't tacky enough to rub it in your face.

...Brenda Jenkins?? Nah, I had a BIG-TIME role for you. You were going to be the head of the Willing Workers and were going to star in the scene where yall went into the booty-shaking club and pulled D998 out from under her drank, just when she and ole boy was bout' to get into it.:)
