I would love to go back to being a Tour Guide, but with a huge salary & pension plan. That was the plan when I was 16, so I guess I haven't grown up much.

Otherwise, I'd like to be a Top Ten author of foolish fiction, or a genealogist.

Tulip86 10-06-2010 04:01 PM

Editor in Chief of Vogue

but since that is not going to happen, I'll settle for trendwatcher

ADqtPiMel 10-06-2010 04:21 PM

A Mythbuster.

Animate 10-06-2010 04:25 PM

Either...

A middle or early HS math teacher
A video game player for pay
A stay at home dad.

BraveMaroon 10-06-2010 04:28 PM

Sometimes, I think I'd like to be the person that goes out and buys all the crazy crap they have on the walls at Cracker Barrel.

KSUViolet06 10-06-2010 06:45 PM

Be Kobe Bryant's next wife. Just saying.

NinjaPoodle 10-06-2010 07:20 PM

Super photographer of the world. :)

A writer or actress on a soap opera

A teacher

My list still stands (except for the teacher part because that's what I'm doing right now)

I would also like to be:

a professional groupie for one of my favorite bands
a book publicist
a food tester for the food network
a personal assistant

No, but you could use your knowledge of multiple languages and interpret for the U.N. That could be a cool job!

If i had to pick an actual job, I'd like to be a Biblical Archaeologist or focus solely on Middle-Eastern Archaeology. I've always found that to be fascinating. My second choice career would be public health with an emphasis in epidemiology and/or disaster preparedness.

Other than that, I'd really like for hubby to get a raise so I can devote 100% of my time to being a wife, mother, Kappa Alpha Theta volunteer, Junior League, and other types of community service.

You could be a picker like that show on History channel.

Xidelt 10-06-2010 08:36 PM

A school librarian, an archivist, a museum employee, a special collections librarian, teach full-time for the state virtual high school...

IrishLake 10-06-2010 08:50 PM

If anyone says geologist, I'll slap some sense into you.

Maybe this is a sign of my age but what is a WIFEY?

jdrama 10-06-2010 10:21 PM

Wifey= just the regular girlfriend. You're a wifey (in my view) when you've been dating for 10 years. No ring.

lovespink88 10-06-2010 10:32 PM

I have a few...some of which were already mentioned.

A social media & marketing expert. I did a few internships where I was in charge of a company's social media & marketing. It was great because I felt like I was just playing around with Facebook and at each position, my boss was just so impressed with the results lol

A travel writer. I would love to just travel and get paid to write about it.

A food critic. Same as above, just with food.

And at the top of the list...working for the Chicago White Sox, ideally in a communications role...:D

This is still my answer.

Although not a *paid* thing, I have gotten one step closer with the Oratorio Singers/Charlotte Symphony thing.

DubaiSis 10-07-2010 06:59 AM

I am a travel agent, but I'd love to do the super high end travel where cost is not an issue, you just have to find that perfect awesome thing that the traveler will later be mentioning on Late Night or The Daily Show. Scheduled air is just so bourgeois.

I wish! I'm not good enough for that right now. It'd be awesome if I could get paid to hang out and practice my language skills then put them to use.

ferrousmanus 10-12-2010 12:34 PM

I want to open up a club. And call it Bucked Neked

nittanygirl 10-13-2010 11:14 AM

I think I want to be an elementary school teacher....

...too bad my major is hotel, restaurant & institutional management

I'm sure I'll be happy for at least awhile in foodservice, but if not, at least teaching isn't really a hard thing to go back to night school for (lots of schools offer it)

cheerfulgreek 10-13-2010 11:24 AM

I REALLY want to be and always wanted to be an astrophysicist, but I knew that we didn't/don't have the technology to go to other planets and galaxies, so why even waste time studying about something that I can't physically touch or be apart of. So, I chose my second interest and love and that's animals.:)

als463 10-13-2010 11:27 AM

I would love to be:
*A music video director (for like MTV, VH1, CMT, BET, etc.)
*An Academic Advisor
*A Greek Life Advisor
*A member of National Council (to my GLO)
*A Marriage and Family Therapist
*A College Professor

Yep, I've thought about this topic, a lot.

XAntoftheSkyX 10-13-2010 07:55 PM

On staff for a Div. 1 drum corps teaching visual/drill/marching. And get paid enough to do only that for a living.

33girl 10-13-2010 08:30 PM

I want to own a radio station and play whatever the eff I want.

I also want to help every single homeless, abused or otherwise in-peril animal on the planet.

SMTTT 11-26-2010 11:44 PM

My dream job is the be an international tour guide. I got the travel bug about 2 years ago...but it hasn't gone away ;) I would love to live out of my suitcase

Another job I'm really considering is teaching ESL. I've looked into the Peace Corps actually, something I'm considering after college.

PrettyBoy 11-27-2010 04:25 AM

I'm doing what I've always wanted to do, ever since I was a kid. I've always wanted to be a car designer and that's what I'm doing. I have my dream job/career. There was a short time I wanted to be an F1 driver, though.

pshsx1 11-27-2010 04:33 AM

I want to work for my Fraternity or as a Greek Life adviser.

But I guess this Engineering thing will have to do. :P

Actually, you could use your love for Hotel, Restaurant & Institutional Management and Teaching and look into working as a teacher at a vocational school. My high school had a vo-tech where kids learned about culinary arts. We also had a business track where our students could take "business" math and learn how to balance a checkbook. That may be right up your alley!

I would love to stay in the Therapy field but, really-really-really want to work as a college professor!

AOII Angel 11-27-2010 05:29 PM

I want to live in Paris and read Radiology by tele-rad. Ahhhhh, Paris!

That's definitely an option I didn't really think of! I think there are high schools too that focus on particularly on hospitality in bigger cities and stuff.
I might end up looking into that. for now I am back to being okay with my career choice. we'll see how long it lasts! lol

PiKA2001 11-28-2010 11:26 PM

I'd like to own my own pub one day.

Pirouette 11-29-2010 11:02 PM

I've always wanted to be a Rockette. Unfortunately, I grew up to be taller than 5' 10'' 1/2 height maximum. :( Guess I'll have to settle for coaching high school poms instead.

Actually, I really love teaching and coaching. At this point in my life, I'm not sure what else I'd do.

Scully 12-01-2010 12:40 AM

I always wanted to do something art-related. I'm a graphic designer now, but it's not as glamorous as I had thought it would be. I'd like to run a fashion magazine. Or be a cowgirl.

KKGCaroline 12-01-2010 05:17 AM

I always wanted to be either a Travel Photographer, a Movie Director, or a Video Games Tester.

christiangirl 12-10-2010 07:33 AM

I could have sworn I posted in this already.

My dream job is to play Ariel in The Little Mermaid on Ice. :o

groovypq 12-10-2010 11:24 AM

Full-time coach.

Although I like the "social media expert" idea.

I also wish I could come up with a good idea for a novel...

sanjiyan69 01-05-2011 08:35 PM

I wanted to be a high school math teacher...but after observing the classes at local highschool... NO THANKS.

Now I'm teaching part-time at local community college. This is my dream job.
