I do have to send kudos out to Beth - she came up with a cute way to shorten the alumnae groups name. Now realize that LA County is so HUGE with over 900 known alumnae in the area that there is a northern and southern alumnae group. So anyway, Beth said we need to call the Alumnae group SOLA County Alumnae Group that got changed to So L.A. County alumnae. We liked it since we are So LA women. Not sure if the intent that made us laugh comes through when it's typed and written though.

*snaps* to So LA for our pretty successful fundraiser last night! considering it was during the first week of class, we did a good job! i don't think anyone will ever want to see me with raffle tickets in my hand, running up to them, screaming "have you bought your raffle tickets, yet???" again!!! haha :D

My lil sis mailed me a great Phi Sig shirt. I just want to say thank you for being the best lil in the world. The shirt is wonderful.

Even though our chapter faced some hard times, we stood as classy women. Made me even more proud to be a Phi Sig

My 2nd generation Sapphire Sister gave birth to a baby girl this morning!!! Another Legacy added to the Phi Sig Family! :D

I am so happy, I am on the Phi Sigma Sigma Marketing and Web Committee.

I am currently still looking for a job in either MKTG or PR but this will give me a chance to help out Phi Sig Headquarters with MKTG. I'll also gain some extra skills helping out too. :)

OMG! One of my chapter's alumna just emailed our email group and told us she's having QUADRUPLETS!!! Anyone in Ohio, I'm sure they'd love if you volunteered once the babies are born this summer!

No, I think it's Regional Alumnae Chair, but don't quote me!!

Its Regional Alumnae Coordinator, very similar to what I do for Region 12. What region would you be working with? It's a fun position. :)

There are a couple of regions available, mostly in PA and NY. Hopefully I'll get one in PA! What all do you do, I have the job description but you know what those are like!

i have tons of good news, but i can only share one of them right now...

i got a job offer this morning! and the best news about it is that they're offering me more money than i was asking for! yay! :D :D :D

My last Final
 

HI Everyone,

I just had to shout my good news. My last final is tonight and it's going to be an easy one since we already have the topic and can bring an outline with us to class. That means as of 8:15 tonight when my final is over I will officially be done with my Masters in Public Administration!!!

This has been a long and and sometimes difficult road but I do have to say if I hadn't started my Masters then I wouldn't have been in school and had the opportunity to join Phi Sigma Sigma.

Congratulations to everyone else who is graduating. Good luck to those who are still working on degrees.

Then to add to my happiness today is that my tax refund check came in the mail. I'm heading to Florida next week and wasn't going to have any money so this has helped me tremendously.

Ok, so I've been working at my new job for just over a month now... Actually for 43 days... And I've already been offered a promotion!!!!!

Of course I'm going to take it!! I mean, right now, I'm doing half of what I use to do at my last job - for more money!

So I'm super excited about this! :D :D :D

Congrats Beth on being offered a promotion! I was recently offered a Quality Chemist position by the government and I start July 11th! I can't wait~same work I've been doing for the past two years, but with tons more money! :)

Wow it looks like this is a good job time for a lot of us. First Beth with her promotion, jadey with her new job and finally my good news. I've been promoted to Supervisor of the admissions unit!! I'm excited but nervous at the same time.

One of my chapter sisters had quintuplets in early July. Three of the boys passed away but the other two are doing really well! Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers!

Wow it's been a long time since anyone has posted good news (since last August), i had to go search for the thread.

So here's my good news, I was tapped to become a member of Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society!!!! it's one of the oldest Honor Societies in the U.S.

Okay, other people on here have to have good news to post.

Simply, I'm pregnant! I'm due August 30th... so if I am a few days late, it will be a sapphire baby (September). This should make fall term and ffr interesting! But both my husband and I are extremely excited.

ok, here's my good news:

i found the guy of my dreams! his name is dan, he's a tv host (for a local show), he's got a great personality - matches me perfectly!! and the most important (since i've had problems with this in the past) he treats me right... i'm his princess. :D awww!

last year wasn't the best for me, i went through probably my lowest points in my life... and now, i'm my most happiest!

i just had to share that with my fabulous sisters! (if you're on my buddy list on myspace, yes that's a picture of him and me)

Clarion University's Gamma Gamma chapter on Sunday won first place in both formal and informal greek sing compeitions to clinch the Greek Sing championship!!! It was simply amazing!!!!! I'm so proud of my girls :)
