Yeah the ghetto memphis chick...HAAATED IT!

And somebody, anybody tell me why she embarrased herself even further by saying that her mother-in-law, her BOYFRIEND, and aunt were their with her.

UGHH, boyfriend and moms in law, that just don't sound right ya'll!
I liked corey, I felt his mello craig-david like vibe, but if he gets in tomorrow he will have to step up in the big show a bit.

I caught that ghetto stuff, by then I was cognizant that there was no sound. I was sitting there like  WTF:confused: . I hate when people do that. My aunt has all of these grandkids yet her ONLY CHILD has never given birth. She "adopted" this grown azz woman from her office.   BTW, my aunt is a social worker with the WELFARE department.

Yeah, after hearing the other folks just plain butcher up the songs (Yolanda Adams should find the chick who messed up her song, give her the smack down, then pray for her poor soul - :p ), Cory was a real relief to our ears. Josh the Marine was pretty ok too. Everyone else just pretty much sucked (I did have a soft spot for rocker Patrick).

My question is: Where's the humility in some of these contestants????? I understand if you disagree with what the judges are telling you, but to blatantly rant, rave and disrespect them will not help the situation out!!!! They need to remember that they're the ones trying to get into the music business; the judges are already established in their careers. BIG DUMMIES!!!

Exactly! When she started singing I was tinking "No she is not singing THAT song in that ooched out outfit!" What was she thinking with that combination. I did agree that it was not the right song for her.

The Frenchie thing

I do think AI was wrong for how they handled the situation. In her ET interview she indicated that she originally posed in lingerie and that the new owners of the website were using the pictures in a different way. That is no suprising since I am sure they own the images and probaly had the models sign a release allowing hem to do anything they want with them. THe thing that I think ws out of order was to be told all of this upfront and let her proceed only to pul her out of competitionlater on. That is rediculous. THey knew whether or not she qualified the moment she old them and made their decision that it was okay. Only when she was successful and popular with a shot at winning did they suddenly have a problem woth it. I do think that they figured that she wouldn't go as far as she did and did not expect wat they got out of her or the audience response to her

Girl she fell out and was about to convulse and throw herself on the floor.

If I am not mistaken, Juanita was the girl who fell out. Is this who they replaced Frenchie with? Let's see if she falls out tonight. :p

CT4, I am so feeling you on that one. The rest of America must think that all black people say DAWG, DUDE, and all that other bull he says. I really, really dislike him.

Ruben Studderd will perform on Tuesday, March 11th. Vote for my friend Ruben...he's worthy of your vote!;)

I agree. I haven't been really into AI like I was last season. I'm watching it only b/c we don't have cable anymore and usually on Tuesdays and Wednesdays AI is the only interesting thing on TV. I can't wait to get cable back on so I can go back to watching Lifetime or Court TV or Nickelodeon when AI is not interesting.
:(

RUBEN

If I see ONE MORE 205 shirt, I will SCREAM.

If RANDY says DAWG or DUDE tonight, I will barf. OMG he just said it, pardon me.

I know. The first 205 shirt was okay but now Ruben is taking it OVER the top.

Same goes for Randy.

CrimsonTide4 03-11-2003 09:19 PM

Kimberley did really well. They are used to hearing her do SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW -- ballad versus a fast ditty. I think she did really well.

Simon does not want a "heavyset" Black woman to win. Bottom line but Kimberley is a 16/18 @ best.

Yeah, that 205 thing is overkill...at least he can sang!:)

CT4, I just wanted to tell you I love the last half of your new signature. I'm feeling it. :D

Thanks, i jacked it from my mama. It is her sig in her e-mail today and I think it was her way of indirectly speaking to me in mother language without saying, "Daughter CT4, Never look back on the decision you made last week or last year to leave Ohio."

I actually lightweight enjoyed tonight's competition.

I am pulling for Kimberley, Clay, and Ruben the most out of the 12.

Oh and CHARLES, I really want you to get rid of that SAME BLUE PLAID shirt. I know you only work @ a grocery store:rolleyes: but in the words of Randy, "DAWG," get a NEW SHIRT.

Okay, I must have missed something...What were they talking about today when they did Corey's video and they kept saying that he messed up the biggest opportunity of his life?

His family was oh so disappointed  @ Corey gonig buckwild when he first arrived in Cali when they were to narrow it down to the 32. They made him the executive of his granddad's estate to let him immerse himself in his granddad's legacy.

omg, Corey is too fine with cornrows! I was like Whoooooooooo!!

I am feeling your top 3, CT4. FRENCHIE should still be there, but if not her, those 3 will do.

I ALSO was like DAYUM!!!!!!!! when that Olivarez chick DISSED Ryan Seacrest when he tried to get her to take the show to commercial. I don't know if that was REALLY in the script cause it seemed WAY impromptu. Either way, I was like oooooooooooooh, BURN!

To mz CT4: Randy said "Dawg" 105 times (yes, I kept count;)

I really want Ruben or Clay to win! I am pulling for Kimberly also but her performance last night was okay. Now is it me or did that Carmen girl sounded str8 country? Sidenote: The girl who sang after Ruben (in the black/white with hat) did an excellent job.

:D I am writing the governor of Illinois to have my own day, month and year!

Ricky and Vanessa faired well but I'll bet a 5 dollar off car wash coupon, 4 pc with mild sauce and an ice cold 20 oz Sierra Mist that Carmen or Ricky are the first to get booted off.

Any takers?

I was kind of disappointed with Kimberly last night...

Clay, Josh, Rueben and Trenyce did really well but I'm interested in hearing Rueben do a nonR&B song.

LOL @ you. You have been blessed with special issues. :p

I was tripping that Ruben was awarded with a day that got kids a day off from school. Not hating, but can the kids not have attended school that day and possibly just had a musical cultural appreciation day or something. LMH. . .

I expect either Carmen, Charles or Ricky to be gone tonight.

Oh and Ricky singing to the animals --

The children in Alabama actually did have school yesterday...they are in the process of taking the Exit Exam.

Ruben did sooooo well last night. I'm extremely proud of him. I think he is gonna take this competition all the way.

Gina1201 03-12-2003 10:07 PM

Well, I kind of figured that Vanessa would be in the bottom three, but NOT Kimberly. I was very happy when she made it to the next round.

ykimber 03-12-2003 10:59 PM

I didn't think Vanessa did that bad I personally thought Carmen was going home!

9dstpm 03-13-2003 10:02 AM

I was looking for Carmen or Julia to go home, but not Kelly Osbourne's twin sister (Vanessa)!! I was shocked!!

I'm so glad that I'm not the only one bothered by Ruben wearing that 205 shirt. I'm glad that he has that much pride in his hometown (b/c you will NEVER see me wearing a 662-Mississippi-shirt) but give the boy some more clothes to put on. I know he's a big boy and everything, but if the Governor of AL can give Ruben his own day, then he could have given him a gift card to Parisian or Casual Male or something so he would have some clothes to wear!! (Governor Granholm of MI, I would like to have my own day!)

Having said that, I really hope that Ruben or Clay takes this all the way. I really like hearing them sing and they don't look like Pop/R&B Star In A Box-just add water, and either a Puffy or Ja Rule hook and PRESTO!! Instant no-talent, but good looking singer!! (we all know who I'm talking about!)

My prediction for who will get told to kick rocks next week: Julia or Carmen.

So you all are testing too? It's been a stressful week around these parts. EVERYONE is testing, except for my kids. :p

Im_just_me 03-13-2003 12:27 PM

Most of the kids here are all worried about the exam. It seems like they are letting them take this exam earlier and earlier these days.

I'm glad Vanessa got the boot. To me, personally, she wasn't all that talented. Maybe she could hit it big on Broadway or some venue like that, but I can't see her making it in the r&b/pop world.

gamma_girl52 03-14-2003 07:25 PM

This is late...

I was a little sad to see Vanessa go. I didn't think she did that bad. Oh well, so much for Atlanta representin this year!

I really really really really want Ricky to go away. I want Carmen to go away. I want Julia to go away...I think she already knows that she's not making it too much further in the show.

I love Reuben. I do not love the 205 shirts anymore. If I see another shirt next week, I will want to call and tell him that representing for your area code isn't necessary anymore...we know you're from Alabama. :D

Gina1201 03-18-2003 09:14 PM

Oh my DAYUM!!! WTH was Randy thinking in those pictures? "DAWG, those looks did you WRONG!"

Ruben AND his pops have 205 shirts

BUT I must give it up for Ruben, he did sound like a "velvet teddy bear" :D

Corey Clark is starting to look better and better

Treyence (sp?) also did a fabulous job!

CrimsonTide4 03-18-2003 09:47 PM

*missed the first 9 minutes** :(

I wanna HARPOON
* Ruben for wearing yet another 205 shirt
* Randy for adding DOPE to his dude and dawg vocabulary list.

TRENYCE looked and sounded FABULOUS tonight. So far tonight Clay and Trenyce have killed the performances.

Will Black Kimberley sing Somewhere Over the Rainbow tonight since it is from a movie?

FeeFee 03-19-2003 11:03 AM

I voted for:

Reuben (he is a fuzzy wuzzy velvety teddy bear!!!)
Rickey
Trenyce
Corey
Joshua
:D

9dstpm 03-19-2003 01:08 PM

I saw it last night and I agree CT4, Ruben needs to let the 205 shirts go. It's cute that he is so proud of his hometown but it's starting to wear thin for me. I just love to hear him sing, he sounds really good and I really want him to win, but those shirts just have to go!! Having said that, I would like to start a fund to buy Ruben some new clothes. I donate $19.13, do we have any more donations?? Let's help Ruben get some new clothes for next week's show!!! :D

Did someone count the # of times that Randy said dawg or dude or his new soon-to-be overused word, dope?

I think that everyone stepped up their games last night and they sounded good, but Julia IMHO will get told to kick rocks tonight. Or maybe Carmen. She didn't do "Hopelessly Devoted to You" justice.

Gyrl7 03-19-2003 02:42 PM

My picks are.......

Clay

Trenyce (she gets better and better each time she is on stage)

Reuben 2:p5
