Southern Miss Bid Day today.
Freshman quota 28, upperclass 7. Phi Mu 36 Heard that all chapters made quota but that is not official. Overall numbers were down a bit this year, but recruitment was moved back to the week before classes begin (tomorrow). I don't know what the perfect fit with timing of recruitment is on this campus. but I certainly saw fewer exhausted, sick, or stressed out members who did not have to balance recruitment with classes. |

Recruitment has started this morning at CU Boulder. A friend there shared that 1900 women registered. They now have 10 chapters. CU recruitment runs from today thru Wednesday (bid day). They are doing first date book in one day. To me this is mind blowing when you look at recruitments in other parts of the country where the first round is broken into two days. The houses are all around the Boulder campus so women must walk up and down the hills with approx 15 minutes between parties. No buses! My friend is watching this years recruitment wondering how it will turn out. School started last week AND the Rocky Mountain Showdown (CU v CSU) game was last night in Denver. Here’s to hoping all of the chapters have a great recruitment this year.

Wow that is a very large number of PNMs going through recruitment. One of my daughter's friends in an Alpha Chi Omega member and this will be her first time on the "other side." |
1900 pnms for 10 chapters sounds insane to me. Time to bring on more houses if they’ve been sustaining that number of pnms!

Campus total: was 98 this year. Unsure if it has changed over the weekend. Quota was 21+4 Everyone extended quota. AOΠ: 26 I know KΔ had 27 ΣΚ: Unsure ΑΞΔ: Unsure ΑΔΠ: Unsure Quota was lower this year. They had about 50 less women sign up. There were around 30 who dropped the first night after 1st and 2nd parties. Panhellenic didn’t even tell them what parties they were attending for pref in order to keep girls going through. There were some that were literally taking off name tags and trying to run out the doors of the building that parties were being held in. |
