1. The University of Akron (Ohio) 2. Beta Tau 3. Alumnae 4. Pride Leader, Formal Recruitment Chair, and Recruitment Vice President...Intramurals Chair on Panhellenic Council....Administrator on Greek Programming Committee. As an alumna I was PR Chair and VP Ways and Means for the Akron Panhellenic Association....Panhellenic Delegate, Secretary, President, Newsletter Editor, and Webmaster for the Akron Area Alumnae Association of Alpha Delta Pi....and now I am a proud Membership Education advisor at Mount Union College- Gamma Theta chapter! 5. I joined ADPi because a wonderful woman who was a year older than me (went to grade school and high school together - we cheered together in HS)- sent me an invitation to a summer recruitment party. At the party I instantly fell in love with all of the members! My best friend and I from HS left the party thinking we were so cool because we met the president of the chapter-- who now is a friend of mine and is on the AA Board with me!! Going into recruitment I knew where I wanted to be and luckily I was blessed and received a bid from ADPi! They no longer allow summer parties, but I am so glad I had the opportunity to attend one because it made all of the difference for my best friend and I!! 6. My favorite memory is Bid Day 1996 and my diamond sister revealing! My diamond has recently moved out of the country and we do not really talk anymore. We lived together for a year in a house with 3 other sisters...and were very close when we were in the chapter togetHer. The most special thing about our relationship is the fact that it has never changed and we know no matter what that WE LIVE FOR EACH OTHER!!! Another favorite memory is when my cousin joined Beta Tau 2 years ago-- she is as close to a legacy I am going to get until I hopefully have one of my own!! |
1. Jacksonville University

Hi all!! New to this chat group. Glad to see lots of Pi's still sharing the bond of sisterhood. Not to get corny, but people don't understand how going through something like we did really creates a bond. Adpi's will always stick together. In life, if I ever come across an ADPi, whether business or personal I always try to help them out anyway I can.
1. College or University Florida State University 2. ADPi Chapter Iota 3. Collegian or Alumnae Alumnae 4. ADPi and Panhelleic positions held Standards board, Toymaker in Lion Skit (3 yrs.), Panhellenic Rep. Now as an Alum I am active in the Greater Ft. Lauderdale Alum Assoc. as their Public Relations Chair. 5. Why you joined ADPi I was a legacy, my sister pledged the year before. I was stamped an ADPi before I even knew what it was all about. Loved the sisterhood!! Great support system, some of the BEST friends in all my life 6. Favorite ADPi memory I have sooooooooooooo many!! Going back to the house after I got my bid!! I ran as fast as I could and as soon as I saw my sister we hugged forever!! I still to this day cherish the picture I have of that. |
1. University of Memphis
2. Gamma Eta 3. Collegian 4. no positions held yet, i just initiated 5. The girls in ADPi seemed so genuine and real. I knew ADPi has a great national and alumni reputation. I really had a great appreciation for the ADPi symbols and heritage~First and Finest! 6. So far, my favorite memory has been Diamond Days. |

Francis Marion University (Florence, SC) 2. Zeta Phi 3. Alumna 4. Alum Association President (3rd term) Collegiate: Intramurals, Leadership, Spirit, Special Events, Alumnae Relations, and Corresponding Secretary 5. I joined ADPi because the women were the friendliest and most sincere during recruitment. 6. One of my favorie memories is when I was moving out to Denver right after graduation and I had mentioned that I wanted to get together with all of my sisters before I left, but I didn't have a house or anything since I was living on campus. (We didn't have a sorority house.) Anyway, one of my sisters invited me out to the mall one evening a week before I was to leave. She said she needed to stop by one of the Alum's house to pick up something beforehand. So, we got there and went inside. As soon as the door was closed, about 20-25 women jumped out of places to surprise me. It was a going away party! I was so touched that I cried. No one has really ever done anything like that for me before. They said they had planned it for months. I asked about the parking, since no cars were outside. They had a "shuttle" running back and forth from a local church parking lot to the house. Wasn't that fantastic! I still miss my Zeta Phi sisters so much! I'm a little misty thinking about them! |

2. ADPi Chapter 3. Collegian or Alumnae 4. ADPi and Panhelleic positions held 5. Why you joined ADPi 6. Favorite ADPi memory ----------------------- 1. University of Miami (Florida) 2. Gamma Delta 3. Collegian 4. Pride Leader, Recruitment Information Manager and countless committees 5. The first and finest.... I thought it would be exciting to be a founding member and when I went to the first recruitment session, I knew ADPi was for me! 6. Our Installation Banquet when we received both our charter and the original charter. When the previous Gamma Delta chapter members in attendance were announced, you could hear gasps from sisters in the room who hadn't seen each other in years. They started talking like it had only been days and not decades since they last met. It was amazing, just shows that sisterhood is forever!! Plus I got to meet Grand Council!! **One year later and so many great memories.... This year's diamond days rank pretty far up there. As Initiation nears (it was postponed because of Wilma), it's great to see how far our chapter has come in one short year. I can't wait to see what the next year and a half holds before I graduate. |

2. ADPi Chapter 3. Collegian or Alumnae 4. ADPi and Panhelleic positions held 5. Why you joined ADPi 6. Favorite ADPi memory ----------------------- Hey ya'll! I'm new to Greek chat and thought that I would get in on the action because I love ADPi so much! 1. Clemson University 2. Zeta Nu 3. Alumnae 4. Alum Chair, Pride Leader 5. I joined ADPi because I felt it in my heart the moment I walked through the door during rush. There wasn't even a decision to be made because ADPi and I were made for each other. 6. One of my favorite memories was Pass the Gavel right before we graduated. Senior roast was one of the best times our pledge class had together. I know this sounds crazy, but I also loved rush because it was a time that the whole chapter was together and since we were so big, like 180 girls, it was a time to spend with girls who weren't necessarily in my close circle. Rush was when I was most proud of my sisters and their accomplishments. It was also a time when we joined to remember my pledge sister that passed away on her way to rush retreat sophmore year and celebrate her life. |
Welcome, welcome, ladypi!! When you get a minute, please read the Forum "Important" threads. We're so happy that you've joined us at GreekChat!! :)

1. College or University
The University of North Alabama 2. ADPi Chapter ZH 3. Collegian or Alumnae Alumnae graduated 2003 4. ADPi and Panhelleic positions held open rush chair, social chair, pledge class president, homecoming chair < collegian I just became the Adpi Recruitment Advisor for ZH Adpi and I was the secretary of the Huntsville, Madison County ADPi Alumnae 5. Why you joined ADPi When I walked in the door at rush everyone knew who I was because a great friend of mine was already an ADPi and had told them all about me. In other words I felt at home in the Adpi room the first minute I walked in. 6. Favorite ADPi memory I lived in the ADPi dorm, and all of the nights, that all of us sat in the hallway, talking about whatever at the time, made for a great couple of years. I don't remember any one specific time right now but I would tell every sister to tell every other sister that has a chance to live in the dorm or house to not pass up that opportunity. I felt closer to the girls, that I lived in the ADPi Dorm with, then anyone else ever. |
1. McNeese State University
2. Alpha Delta Pi Chapter, Delta Eta 3. Alumnae from May 2004, Initiated October 2000 and Graduated from MSU on Dec. 11, 2004 in Graphic Design 4. Sec., Treasurer and Pride Leader, 2003 Chapter President went Alumna in 2004 and in the process of applying for a TCC position. 5. I went through Recruitment thinking I was joing my mother's sorority until I walked in to the Adpi house and saw how wonderful the sorority is and the girls made me feel so welcome and more at home. 6. Favorite Adpi memory is four years full of different memories one does not surpass any of the others, Adpi is such an important part of my life. |

I pledged Phi Mu the same semester as you at McNeese. I then transferred and graduated from UL. I also married one of the wonderful Delta Xi KA's from Mc Neese last April! |
HEY ROQUE!
I remember you! How are things? I hope your marriage is going wonderful! I'm actually in a very serious relationship and we're thinking about it also. Thats awesome you saw my post on here! Did you affliate with Phi Mu at UL? How are those chapters doing? I hope their doing well. Best wishes to you and Chris! prinzessgena :) |

Yes I affiliated with Phi Mu at UL. I now work in Greek Affairs as a Graduate Assistant. I have so much fun with it. I get to meet so many people. The system is larger here (5 sororities with total at 73) and this gives me the opportuntiy to meet people since I didn't pledge here and never hung around with the fraternities because of Chris. Chris is fine, he is in Iraq along with James Wheat, Jack Gunter, Robert Baggett and Matt Mouhot from KSig. They will be home next September. (crossing fingers) |
1. Saint Louis University
2. Eta Nu Chapter 3. I just got elected NMC for 2005! (If anyone has any suggestions for me, I'd love to hear them!) 4. I joined ADPi because right when I walked in the room the first night for rush, I felt at home. These girls were honest, genuinely nice, true girls. Every night of rush, I became even more sure that ADPi was where I wanted to be! My roommate thought I was nuts because everynight after we got back from a rush event we would talk about how things went and I just kept saying "I love ADPi, that's the only one I want!" 5. Well, since I am new to ADPi, I don't have a lot of memories yet, but a few of my favorites so far are: Bid Day!, Initiation, Black Diamond Formal, GI ADPi (i think some chapters call this Mallard Ball), Pi Premiere (the first event for all the Alphas)...and I can't wait for many more to come! :) |
1. Northern Illinois University
2. Delta Omega 3. Collegian 4. For my chapter I have been Leadership Chair and Chaplain. For Panhell I've been Vice President for Jr. Panhell and I am currently VP of Public Relations. 5. I joined ADeePi because I felt like home when I entered the house. Before I went through forma recruitment I had spoken to a couple of girls in the house, without knowing they were in ADeePi, and I felt we were old friends already. I loved the fact that these girls know how to have fun while knowing when to be serious and get to work. 6. My favorite memory...it's rather hard to say. My Alpha Lock In was one of my faves, and Initiation ceremony. Everytime I go through it it reminds me why I'm a member of this sorority! Pi Love, Sara |
Welcome to GreekChat, Sara! You certainly flew in under the radar!!
When you get a minute, please read the Forum Guidelines. It'll help make your GC experience easier! |
Well, since I never did this and just realized it...
Here goes! 1. Georgia College & State University 2. Zeta Iota 3. Alumnae 4. Music Chair! 5. I joined initially to meet people and get involved on campus, especially in community service. I found so much more! 6. My favorite memory by far is my candlelighting when I got engaged. It's so moving to see so many women so genuinely happy for you! |
1. University of North Texas
2. Gamma Upsilon! 3. Alumnae 4. Standards & Ethics (Collegiate) VP of Programming (Alumnae) 5. I went ADPI because it was where I knew I needed to be. The sisters were awesome and genuine and I felt a part of the organization from day one! I also felt that I was missing something in college from not pledging sooner. I made up for that quickly once I was initiated. I love ADPI! 6. Some of my favorite memories include initiation (of course) - Date Parties - scavenger hunt with KA - and having my diamond sis turn into a lifetime friend! I love ya Kate! |

1. College or University
California State University, Sacramento 2. ADPi Chapter Eta Mu 3. Collegian or Alumnae Alumnae 4. ADPi and Panhelleic positions held Pledge Social Chair Scholarship Chair EVP Rho Chi Alumnae Association President Chapter Advisor Province Director Alumnae-Collegiate Relations Director Alumnae Association Alumnae-Collegiate Relations Chair Alumnae Association VP of Programs 5. Why you joined ADPi I was a little sister for a fraternity and was tired of all my efforts going to benefit the men. ADPi was the most genuine group. 6. Favorite ADPi memory Too many...retreats, maybe? |
I was recently doing an internet search looking for something else and I stumbled on this site. After checking things out I think it looks like a great place! Not only is it informative, but seems to be alot of fun too.
I looked for a forum to post an intro, but couldn't find anything. Apologies if I didn't look hard enough. So this topic seemed like a pretty logical place to introduce myself. 1. College or University - University of Illinois 2. ADPi Chapter - Sigma 3. Collegian or Alumnae - Alumnae 4. ADPi and Panhelleic positions held - As a collegian nothing much other than various committee work. But as an alum, since moving to Tuscaloosa, AL I've served on House Corp and am now the Chapter Advisor at Eta, University of Alabama. Volunteering started off as a way to meet people after moving to Bama and not knowing a soul. It all just evolved from there. 5. Why you joined ADPi - It just seemed to be the right fit for me. 6. Favorite ADPi memory - Probably the most fun was Pledge Walkout to the University of Iowa. I probably shouldn't give any more details than that because Walkouts aren't allowed any more. But even if they were, we were told that we weren't welcome at Iowa any more because we got a bit too wild. |
Welcome, Zillini! This is a GREAT place to introduce yourself, and I hope that you feel up to posting on our other threads here in the forum!
L&L, polarpi |
Welcome to YOUR Forum, Zillini!! I'm thrilled to see a member of Sigma chapter here - I'm in Illinois often, and have wanted to at least see your house!
Pull up a monitor, and make yourself at home! :) PS - I know what you mean about Pledge Walkouts! There are more than one or two of us who remember such things! ;) |
Hey Zillini!! Great to see another sister in Alabama posting! Good to have you here!
|
Thanks for the warm welcomes! Guess I'm one of those "Damn Yankees" who came down South, but I'm happy here. Funny thing is growing up in Illinois I never knew I was a Yankee until I moved here. I always just thought of myself as a Midwesterner.

Roll Call
Hi y'all! My name is Makinzy and I'm new to Greekchat.
1. University of Arkansas 2. Delta Delta Chapter 3. Collegian 4. Current Banner Chair! 5. I rushed on a whim, and I was really unsure about it. I'm from California and Greek Life isn't very common in my area, so I really didn't know too much about it. I joined ADPi because it was the only house on campus in which I truly felt like I could be myself. Each girl is embraced for her individuality- not for being a cookie-cutter version of her sisters. 6. I have so many good memories! Competing in the Sigma Chi Derby Days is probably my favorite, though. |
Welcome to GC, ARADPi! You'll find that we like to have a lot of fun on this forum, as well as get to know one another on a pretty good basis! I hope you enjoy your time here in GC land!
L&L, polarpi (a fellow Californian! :D) |

Welcome to Zillini and ARADPi!! Derby Days was my absolute favorites, too!! 'Course this was in the early 70's, but sounds like not that much has changed. :)
