if you really want to be discreet, I recommend Rainbow Brite Or you could name sororities after something fun like alcoholic beverages. I tried to do that with my own retro thread, then I realized I hate retro recruitment threads enough that I didn't even care enough about my own rush to actually keep writing it. |

Sigma Kappa can be Pound Puppies. I had a Pound Puppies watch when I was little. You un-velcroed (sp?) the puppy's head and checked the time on a really awesome digital watch.

Call upon the Sea Ponies when you're in distress. Helpful as can be ponies - simply signal SOS. If you find you're cast adrift and haven't got an oar. Count upon the Sea Ponies - they'll see you to shore! Shoo-bee-doo-shoop-shoop-bee-doo Mariana has the whole first season...including Midnight Castle. And yes, she does watch them more often than I do (most of the time:o). |

MLP :D I had the toys too! I think I still have a movie taped off of Disney channel during one of their free *subscribe to us* weeks. (Whoa, I just remembered that Disney used to be a premium channel) It's the one with the SMOOZE :D Ok, who else knows, remembers, loves.. the Wuzzles? BTW, found this: http://www.gotoquiz.com/80_s_cartoon_theme_song_quiz I did still remember every song from the shows I watched, but I missed a lot of the 80s! |

My sister-in-law still has her Pound Puppy on her bed! I had lots of My Little Pony's--including their human friend Megan and the stable/carrying case. My neighbors had the MLP castle. Needless to say, I played over at their house quite a bit. I didn't have Popples. :(
Anybody remember Kids Inc? I watched it the first year it was on RELIGIOUSLY on Sat mornings...then it mysteriously disappeared! I recently found out it went to the Disney channel after its first season, courtesy of Wikipedia(no cable til 8th grade. I had a stunted childhood. Thanks mom and dad!:p) I spent much of this summer catching up on back episodes/bad musical productions on youtube. |

Back then, the Disney Channel was considered a Premium (Pay) Channel so I didn't have it either. I could only catch Kids Inc and the Mickey Mouse Club during the free preview weekends. |

Am I missing out on anything by not seeing Kids Inc.? Also I adore the turn this thread has taken. |
Sorry, am I missing something here?
I thought this thread was about Badges on the moon? |
KIDS Incorporated!
I remember like Kids Incorporated but I don't remember anything specific besides the theme song now... is that weird? Yay for Youtube!
See if you notice someone famous, she's there from the first season :D 1984 Kids Inc. Theme Neverending Story and Goonies, two more classics Oh, and I'll give you a hint, she's cute and blonde. Have you figured it out yet? Last clue Lets just say she's not singing about her lovely lady lumps They did Michael Jackson too! Last but not least, another star, but her name has changed Ok, I could totally watch these all night. The outfits! :D |

Are pirates on waterbeds a good idea?? Oooo . . .Johnny Depp would be! Never mind!
|
My friend and I always used to play pirates and shipwrecked on my waterbed, because it felt like being on the ocean. Now that I think about it, I'm not really sure how that worked, because the water would have been IN the boat, and when things went "overboard", they went on the floor OUTSIDE the bed, where there was no water.:confused:
