Okay, I just read through the first 4 pages and then decided to just jump right in. This is a SUPER idea, Tressa!!!

Would it be possible for me to be on the Historian committee? I have experience with archives (though predominantly non-cyber but I do have a little bit of experience there!) and historical/heritage programming.

As far as a list of founders, I would say John and Tressa - John obviously for starting the board and Tressa for suggesting Gamma Chi! :)

Anyway, I'm off to finish reading the thread and work on too many things that need to get done around my apartment! :)

Another thought with regards to founders - there can be founders and then charter members. I'm also assuming that we are going to be international as a result of the nature of the beast rather than having multiple chapters - or would there be the alpha chapter here and then local chapters of people that want to get together face to face?

I agree. John and Tresa as the founders, and the rest of us as the charter members / Alpha new member class. Later on, as more people join GC and become interested in Gamma Chi, we can put together Beta, Gamma, etc. NM classes. How does that sound?

Well....I hope I'm not sounding pushy... but I'm wondering if all of the committees could have a preliminary report posted by April 30th? It's just that tscsparky mentioned seeing if we could get a solid foundation by the end of the semester and I bet we could do it. I was going to see if I could get a philanthropy committee report posted by then and I thought it would be great if we were all on the same page. I'd love to hear what everyone else is coming up with!

Ive started to separate everyone into "Alpha" or "Beta" categories. Alphas are the people who joined in March at 47. and Betas are those who joined from the begining of April until the 10th, at 46. So at least we can start pairing people up. I will prob. have the list for everyone either tomm. or monday.

I'm up for any of the the committees that don't have very many people. I would just pick one, but I figured what if someone else really wanted to be there, when I'm open for anything. Everything's just as important as the other, so whoever wants my help just let me know!:)

This is such a great idea!! I am all about it!! I want to be on the ritual committee!!! We need new member pins too, maybe they can just be the plain starfish?? That website with the stafish pin had some cool pins of a lot of peoples symbols, like there was a dove for sigma kappa and a cute little key pin with a heart for KKG and a kite for KAO. I am getting an acorn!! I am so excited about this!! yay Gamma Chi!!!

Preliminary Reports
 

Prospectiverushee sent me this fabulous report the other day. You will not believe the work these guys have been doing! It's wonderful. What I could do is create a single report created from the preliminaries of all of the groups. That way a person could read them all at one time. When I have them all in, I'll compile and publish.

So, keep'em coming.

I had an idea about new member pins - I was thinking of a ribbon, either instead of or in addition to a NM pin. We'd each make our own - that way we can have a new member ceremony without having to wait for NM pins to be shipped out.

I must have missed something - where's this website?

Two points ...

First ...are there going to be any financial requirements? (ex dues and fees) Are there going to be things the need to be financed? (ex philanthropy )? Is so, I'd like to volunteer for the finance committee - budgetary concerns that kind of thing...

Also, are we going to be one grand chapter or will we be divided into chapters? This would be a question for the constitution and by-laws committee.
