How do you sort? How do you get a wand? I can't get the site to do anything after I log in except let me accept friend requests! I click all over the place and nothing happens.

Are more points allocated for more complicated spells in a duel?

As far as I can tell the body lock one gives the most points. I can't remember the name, but it paralyzes you.

I finally got through Diagon Alley and Sorting and I'm a Ravenclaw!

I was originally a little disappointed with that because with a past website, I was sorted into Gryffindor. And then I realized that it's a lot like recruitment and I'm really more like a Ravenclaw anyway. And then I got this cool letter from the prefect and was excited to be a Ravenclaw.

Now if I'd been sorted into Slytherin, though, I would have quit recruitment. I hate snakes and scary people.;)

Lol...I was really dreading being sorted into Slytherin. Even if it's pretend, it seems like it would be a negative indictment on someone's character.

I had people making fun of me for being a Hufflepuff. A Slytherin actually.

The sorting hat was torn between Slytherin and Hufflepuff for me. Heck of a dilemma, lol. I'm a happy Hufflepuff!

I still don't like being a Huffle. It just doesn't fit me as well as Ravenclaw or Gryffindor. It feels like I just don't fit in. I'm tempted to re-register with a different e-mail address but I'll probably mess around and end up in Slytherin (which fits me even less).

Slytherin and Hufflepuff seem so different to me...I think it's funny that anyone would be split between the two.

My daughter said she was first identified as a "Ravenpuff", but chose Ravenclaw, which is what she's always identified with (she has a Ravenclaw scarf AND robe from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter). It sounds like the Pottermore sorting hat is being very indecisive!

Potions are getting annoying. I keep having trouble for no reason. Like the one I'm trying to make now says I didn't keep the temperature in the right range even though I did.

I've had those issues, too Vito. I'm done playing until the rest of the site is up and running. I can only do so many potions and duals.

Can someone help me out? I've read through the whole book and explored the chapter, however at the top of my screen there is a section that is locked? Is this the same for everyone, can someone tell me how to unlock it?

Woo! I have now gone from 22 points to 41, thank to you and to realizing that double-clicking reveals more stuff. Go Ravenclaw! I've found all the objects and only lack the Rowena Ravenclaw and Circe frog cards and these books: The Dark Forces and Great Wizards.

ETA: I found everything! Thank the Lord for learning how to double-click on the site. Plus I ran up on a lot of Galleons that weren't there before; I wonder if they've been added since then. I wonder if a lot of Galleons will be needed in the next books.

Realizing that double-clicking was a thing in Pottermore was like opening up ~a whole new woooorld~! And points for any team but Gryffindor is fine by me. ;)
