Welcome to the AMAZING sisterhood of Alpha Epsilon Phi Sorority! Sending you a virtual stuffed giraffe and a bouquet of lilies of the valley tied in green and white ribbon!

You probably shouldn't be saying things like "my bid day buddy is weird." Not only because you have just received a bid to this sisterhood but especially since there are UCF Greeks on this forum, some from your new chapter.

33girl 08-28-2010 05:37 PM

Did you read when she wrote that post and the state of mind she was in?

There were other members of your chapter on here and they didn't feel the need to bump this and call her out. IF you really are a member of that chapter, considering you used completely different terminology than she did.

If you have an issue with someone you see every day in real life tell them in real life not on a message board.

Hopefully I can go ahead and clear this right now. I typed that post after basically the longest and most exciting day of my life. I'll go ahead and say right now honestly I didn't get that same great connection to my bid day buddy that I had to my pref buddy, and a week later I feel the same way. It's unfortunate, but it's bound to happen in a group of 150-ish women. In no way was I saying I was unhappy or trying to bash my bid day buddy. You aren't ever going to be best friends with every person you meet. I wanted my story to be honest so I could look back on it later and have a good account of what happened--remember how I was feeling after each round, each house, etc. I didn't really see any reason to censor myself because I didn't feel as though I would be judged on here for what I had typed that day.

And just so everyone knows...

Taxi Driver - Theta
Rocky Horror - Chi O
Paper Moon - Pi Phi
Star Wars - TriDelta
Close Encounters - ZTA
Kramer vs. Kramer - A Xi D
Jaws - ADPi
Willy Wonka - KD
Grease - AEPhi
Rocky - Kappa

Again, I'm sorry for any confusion.

Hey all. I just changed back to my old computer and found the link to this thread in my bookmarks. I figured I'd update everyone on my greek life journey.

I decided to de-pledge AEPhi about two months ago. It had nothing to do with the sorority--I just wasn't ready for that type of commitment (both time-wise and financially). I am the type of person who likes to be 100% involved when I'm doing something, and with everything else going on in my life I couldn't give as much time to AEPhi as I thought they deserved while still putting enough time into school to bring up my gpa AND spending time at practice for the new sports team I'm on. I've since changed my major and will now be graduating a year early (2012). I doubt I will rush again next year (as it will be my "senior" year), but I'm still undecided. Thanks again for all of your support while I was rushing. It really meant a lot to me.

<3 Kristen.
