Not you, though somebody suspected she was you when she made a comment about Phi Mu, forgetting to take off puppet.

When I join a sorority my dad will fully support me financially :)
I mean as if I didn't have enough to worry about as far and rush goes and such I'm gld I dont have to worry about money!!
Plus the couple of sororities I'm looking at joining are like super expensive and I don't want to have to get a job or anything like that. Then I wouldn't have time to socialize and stuff :)

Psi U MC Vito 05-23-2010 10:00 AM

It's good that you won't have to worry about dues.

Of course you need to be in a sorority first for them to be an issue. Like I said you don't need to worry about them.

If I receive a bid to join a sorority, my dad will fully support me financially :).
I mean, as if I didn't have enough to worry about as far and rush goes and such, I'm glad that I don't have to worry about money!!
Plus, some of the groups I have heard of so far (because I will be rushing ALL sororities through formal recruitment) are like super expensive, and I don't want to have to get a job or anything like that. Then I wouldn't have time to socialize and stuff. (Because NO ONE in a sorority has held down a job and pledged). ;)

The only time she made a comment about Phi Mu was when she said she didn't belong to them. I think she made that comment because someone was accusing her of being me. She said she went to UVM and we don't have a chapter at UVM. Who would suspect that? So now, every time someone comes on here and claims to be a Phi Mu, whether you like her or not, people are going to assume that it is me using a sock puppet? Okay. That makes a lot of sense.

I am. Also, thank you Drolefile for reminding me of the deleted posts. I don't know what all was in those posts, so I don't really have a clear picture of what this crazy mustang girl said. I am very defensive that people like PsiUmic will automatically suspect every time a new person comes on here and claims to be in my sorority, it must be me. That is just stupid. You may not care for a person but, if someone came on here acting like a jackass pretending to be a member of his GLO, I'm not going say, "Oh, it must be that guy because he is a member of Psi U and I don't really care for him." That's stupid and I don't appreciate him going around saying stuff like that. Next time you have a question about this, then go check the IP address and you can see it isn't me. There-problem solved!

Most of us don't have IP address access.

And I get that you're not happy but you are going on a bit about it.

AZTheta 05-23-2010 11:47 AM

als463... I think you are taking offense where none was intended. PsiUMCVito was actually clarifying (for and to your benefit) that "somebody suspected she was you", but it was NOT him.

As Drolefille pointed out, posts have been deleted, so it would really be a great idea to let it go. Peace.

But, since she wanted to go on and on about it. LOL.

It is funny when a sock puppet who lectures the "meanies on GC" about stuff refers to herself (assuming the person behind the username is a she) as a Phi Mu. It was a serious post, which made it seem as though the person forget she was supposed to be a sock puppet. So, it made some think about the disenchanted GCers or lurkers who are pissed about the meanies, but don't say it under their regular username. If you add Phi Mu to that, there are only a couple Phi Mus that have ever expressed a problem with GCers. LOL.

There ya go. :) But, if it wasn't als463, she really has no reason to get bent out of shape and go on and on about it.

I couldn't remember if is was m_g or love bean who mentioned Phi Mu in the first place, too many deleted threads. Either way, unless it's obvious, I don't get bent out of shape trying to unmask a sock. I've never made a sock myself, although I've pondered it a few times. I'd rather be a Sheetcake than a love bean though.

Also I miss sheetcake.

Sheetcake was last seen with a ten commandments cake that led to a discussion of the appropriate catering for a bris. Interesting!

Okay...found it http://www.greekchat.com/gcforums/sh...ht=bris&page=3 !

It was in the "Don't mislead PNMs with your bad recruitment advice or you might ruin their life forever and ever" thread!

Oh yes I tend to agree with you. I'm just saying that it was under that user name that "she" revealed "herself" to be a "Phi Mu."

Wait. Did I miss that? Miss_Etiquette revealed herself as a Phi Mu? I thought she said she was in another sorority. Where did she say she was a Phi Mu from? I don't remember that at all.

That's pretty funny because I came on here to actually see some of the ridiculous trainwreck threads, to include that one but, I couldn't remember the name of the OP or the thread. I just kept coming on here expecting to find some trainwreck thread that I knew I posted in yet, I couldn't find it. Then I thought, I wonder if anyone else has noticed a deleted thread but, because I couldn't remember all the stuff about it, I just remembered someone giving stupid advice, I just let it go. That explains that.

Did she really say she was a Phi Mu? Where did she say she went? I honestly did not see that part. Was it her or some other OP that made a thread about being a member on this board but, wanted to say things they wouldn't normally say under that username so, she made a sock puppet and everyone else kept telling her that was a dumb idea?

For the record, I wouldn't make a sock puppet. I hope everyone realizes that I say things, regardless of whether or not it upsets someone, under my username. I'm not saying I intentionally try to be rude. If it comes off that way, I do apologize, though.

Yep. See, I missed that one. I had no clue that she kept giving advice as a Phi Mu. Generally, when I see someone mention they are a Phi Mu, I invite them over to the Phi Mu thread to introduce themselves. Had I noticed she said that, I would have politely pm'd her and would have asked that she stop giving advice like that, then I'd invite her. I didn't do that. I haven't been home for a few days because I was traveling, so I didn't get on the internet at all-not even to check email. I guess I missed all of that.

No. DrPhil, I am serious. I really hope you believe that. I understand this is just a message board but, I don't need people assuming that some random person spouting off stupid recruitment advice is me. I don't claim to have recruitment advice, especially for southern schools, since I didn't attend a southern school. Speaking of sock puppets, have you noticed that the mustang girl hasn't come back yet? Once again, with that. I do not drive a mustang (never have) and I didn't even know that SMU had the mustang as their mascot. I'm obtuse when it comes to mascots. To be honest, I didn't even know there was a UVM. I don't really pay attention to schools in Vermont. Sorry.

Oh yes. I did see the one about love bean. She said something about her name (which, I think I thought it was a guy for a while) not meaning something that you said it was and then she proceeded to berate you and call you a moron or something for not knowing what it meant. I still don't know what that name means-so, you can rest assured I wouldn't have made that username, either. I am and have always been als463. Sorry, I'm not that creative.

Honestly, if you weren't protesting so much, the whole idea would have probably been dropped several posts ago. If I were you I would let it go; if you haven't yet convinced anyone that you aren't this chick, this isn't going to help.

What? Me being serious is funny? I don't get it. I wasn't trying to be a jerk to anyone. I wasn't putting anyone down. I wasn't being mean in any way. I was just clearing the air that I didn't say or do that. I hardly see how that is funny. If someone doesn't like me, I would hope they dislike me for something I have done/ said under my username-not someone else's.
