That's serious spoiler ! I can't believe how long the clip was.

BTW, I had to erase a couple of , because we went over the max.

txpacer 05-19-2010 08:38 AM

Argh! I debated over whether or not I was going to watch the spoiler, but in the end I did watch it.

NOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooo... :(

AGDee 05-20-2010 01:23 AM

Watched the spoiler too. I think the second one shot will be ok. The first one is obviously gone from the show. Has anybody read anything about contracts not being renewed for any of the actors/actresses? I have not.

christiangirl 05-20-2010 01:49 AM

^^^I just Googled (well, Yahooed) and there's no talk of contracts that I can see, but it was already released weeks ago that Jason Warren is leaving. For this reason, fans are speculating that Ben will die. If that does happen, POOR BAILEY!!! Also, a couple is supposed to break up so the guesses are either Mark/Lexie (Pleeeease go back to McSteamy!) or Cristina/Owen.

I'm totally stalking spoiler sites, but it's all just guess work, there isn't a lot to go by! I can't stand not knowing what's gonna happen. I've always been the type that needs to know what's gonna happen before I see a movie or else I'm dying the whole time. The next 22 hours are gonna kill me. :(

nikki1920 05-20-2010 08:57 AM

Jason Warren = Jason GEORGE. lol.

and only 12 more to go now. :)

twinkle555 05-20-2010 09:31 AM

I dont regularly watch Greys but I watched last week just cuz I was painting my nails and didnt want to touch the remote (lol) and OMG the finale looks crazy good tonight! Maybe Ill tune in just for that :)

txpacer 05-20-2010 10:26 AM

For some reason, I thought that there was talk of Bailey's man being a lead in a spin-off...

ETA: Found it, but this link provides more info on the show, kind of.

AGDee 05-20-2010 11:15 PM

Wow. Just wow. That was almost as good as the bomb episode. When they decide to turn it on, they do an amazing job. I had to keep reminding myself to breathe. Bailey was incredible. April's acting was incredible. I managed not to cry until the OR scene when Meredith was operating. Totally lost it then.. totally. Loved the scene with the chief and the shooter. Bailey.. wow.. what an actress. Emmy for her.. has to be an Emmy for her.

sceniczip 05-20-2010 11:23 PM

I cried. And cried. And cried. And cried. Except every five minutes there was a commercial break so I'd stop crying only to start again after the commercial break. Very frustrating.

Wonderful, wonderful episode though. Bailey was great, love Lexie/Karev and Owen/Teddy interactions.

AGDee 05-20-2010 11:30 PM

I'm trying so hard not to say too much before all coasts can see it, but it's so hard! With the big Owen scene in the OR, I kept thinking "Come on.. you were McRambo! DO something!"

sceniczip 05-20-2010 11:46 PM

I know! I kept waiting for him to do something and then I was like "wait are you really not going to do anything?!"

AGDee 05-21-2010 12:35 AM

What made me so impressed with the acting was that, many times, there were few words spoken but a whole lot communicated. That was incredible. The scene when Hunt was getting ready to go into the OR and was talking to Meredith in the hallway. You knew from his face that something was going on. There were looks and glances between actors/actresses that said volumes. So very well done. THIS is why I love this show. I know they can't all be this good, but when they knock out one of these, it's just incredible.

christiangirl 05-21-2010 12:40 AM

AAAAGGGGHHHHHH I CAN'T STOP SCREAMING! This is way too much for me and it's only 40 minutes in!!!

It doesn't get easier.

Smile_Awhile 05-21-2010 01:27 AM

I will say this: I thank GOD that they didn't end it on a cliffhanger like last year. That may have pushed me over the edge.

Episodes like this are why I love Grey's. And can I request Emmys for Ellen Pompeo, Chandra Wilson (PLEASE?), the guy who plays Owen, and Sandra Oh? They all gave AMAZING performances tonight. I screamed a few times.

christiangirl 05-21-2010 02:13 AM

10 minutes in I was in ecstasy
18 minutes in I had heart failure
36 minutes in I was tearing up
65 minutes in I was hyperventilating
88 minutes in I was crying and hyperventilating
It's now 4 minutes past the end and I am completely and totally spent.

That was one heck of a ride. The emotions wer OFF THE CHAIN. I didn't know what to feel half the time and, the other half, I was just feeling everything all at once. Lots of screaming. I should NEVER have tried to flat iron my hair while watching. I'm absolutely ashamed of how many burns I have, that was so stupid.....

*Alex and Lexie.....with Mark looking on? So heartbreaking.
*Hunt and Cristina in the OR broke me gave me heart failure #3 or #4, I don't remember.....
*Remember "Dream a Little Dream of Me?" The Season 5 premiere? That's where Meredith in the OR brought me.
*I thought Mandy Moore did very well but I'm glad they didn't focus on her too much.
*Chandra Wilson, if you don't get an Emmy, I swear.... In fact, I need a little statue man to be overnighted to each cast member's personal address and it better be there by 9am. That is all.

christiangirl 05-21-2010 02:15 AM

^^^Yes, all those times are accurate. Everytime something huge happened, I checked what time it was to see how much more was gonna happen. That's how I know all the minutes. :o

AGDee 05-21-2010 08:26 AM

I found myself wondering some stuff.. like, did Bailey know that one person was dead when the dying one said to tell her that he loved her? I couldn't remember. I'm going to end up re-watching this. I think there were times when it was so intense that I didn't notice details.

nikki1920 05-21-2010 08:40 AM

I f'in HATE Shonda Rhimes. HATE HER.

That blog was the best thing I read all day.

No, she didn't know. At the end, Bailey was asking the policewoman to go find her (I think) so she must not have known she was dead.

I've got the ep on the DVR and I know I'm gonna watch it again. There will probably be things I missed the first time. And I'm still nursing my burns--never try to eat hot chili and watching a gripping show at the same time. :(

I haven't read anything else today and now I kinda don't want to. Just so the awesomeness of that can stick.

LeslieAGD 05-22-2010 04:38 PM

That was really the best Grey's episode ever...even better than the bomb.

Even though I said I wanted the "obnoxious Mercy Westers" to die, I was in complete shock when Reed took the bullet to the head and just bled. I was riveted from that point on.

I really thought that a main character was going to die...and I thought it was going to be Arizona. (I would have said Teddy if not for the fact that Kim Raver is signed for next season). Not that I wanted Arizona to die, but shows always wimp out when it comes to killing main characters. Reed and Percy were easily disposable.

A giant HELL YEAH for Cristina for becoming a true cardio surgeon. She and Avery were amazing. And as sad as Mer's miscarriage was, I think it'll probably be huge for next season!

I watched it again this evening. Wow. It made just as large an impact the second time around. I thought it wouldn't seem as good since I knew how it ended, but it was just as good anyway. And no, Bailey had no way of knowing that Reed was dead at that point. She didn't know about the shooter until Charles came in and told her.

nikki1920 08-17-2010 11:09 AM

Good day, GAers!! The season premiere will commence September 23 at our regular time (I assume, as abc.com has only the date and not the time). For a great 5 minute recap of what's happened, go here. I am excited. EW.com also has spoilers for those who are interested.

Jill1228 08-17-2010 11:50 AM

I am glad that fine as hell Jesse Williams (Jackson Avery) is now a full time cast member! :D

Very excited too! He's' the only Mercy-Wester I ever cared about. And if it doesn't work out with Christina and Owen, I'd love to see him hook-up with Dr. Yang.

RaggedyAnn 01-14-2011 01:38 PM

Spoiler Alert if you did not watch this week's episode yet...

Now, the only question is, was I right? or was she just saying that to try and play with Arizona's head?

BetteDavisEyes 03-31-2011 09:57 PM

Has anyone on the east coast watched the much hyped singing episode? I've been observing the message boards & it seems like overwhelmingly, fans have hated the singing. Many kept saying the singing took away from the drama of the show. I'm stuck waiting until later tonight since I'm in California. Rats!

Kappamd 03-31-2011 09:59 PM

I'm watching. I could take or leave the singing, although a big WOW to Sara Ramirez.

I bawled through half of it, if that's any indication.

adpiucf 03-31-2011 10:36 PM

No.

No. No. No. No.

That was the WORST hour of television. EVER. I am not sure if I'll be watching Greys ever again. That was absolutely, positively AWFUL.

/would have been a great episode without all the weird singing

AGDee 03-31-2011 10:52 PM

Grey's musical= fail. I didn't end up following the story line because I was tuning out the singing while I did other things and didn't "tune" myself back in for the real story. Ick. Jumping the shark is the term that comes to mind.

christiangirl 04-01-2011 12:15 AM

The first 5 minutes was really awkward but now I'm getting used to it and actually enjoying it. I can tell this is about to be seriously intense, though.

ETA: OMG that was sooooo aweseome but WHAT DO YOU MEAN NEXT WEEK IS A RERUN?!?!?!?!

TPA85 04-01-2011 01:37 AM

Did.not.like.

The only songs I liked were Callie's.. Until the last song of the episode where she overdid it. Made me think of an amateur acting class.

christiangirl 04-01-2011 03:13 AM

That last song was def awkward (as were other moments) but I thoroughly enjoyed the rest. I think between my love of Broadway, Glee, and Tyler Perry plays, I am no longer phased by people randomly breaking into song. Only the first time did it startle me but most of it was beautiful/entertaining.

Meredith broke my heart. :(

Teddy pissed me off.

Aaaaaand great, now "Grace" is stuck in my head.

RaggedyAnn 04-02-2011 03:00 AM

I did not like it at all. It was as good as the Buffy musical episode...it stunk.
