Some people on alt.tv.suvivor have suggested that if they post the rules on the CBS site then they'd have to follow them all the time, not just when they felt like enforcing it. Also, people would spend time scouring the rules to find loopholes to do what they wanted to do in the game. I'm with you though, I want to see the rules posted.

wait....that game has rules? I thought they just made them up as they went along.

Well... I think something like...

"You can't steal another person's idol, they have to give it to you," would be an ok rule to post.

And things like... "If someone uses an idol during tribal council, and they receive the most votes, there is no re-vote, and the person with the second highest number of votes will leave the game."

And... "If someone wins immunity during a challenge, they can choose to keep immunity for themself, or they can give it to someone else at tribal council."

etc. From what I understand, those rules are pretty cut and dry. It'd definitely be nice to have something to reference when unsure about one of these, or other rules of the game that people tend to not know or forget.

Any predictions? I say Bob, in some way or another, pulls a fast one on Corinne, and she goes home (unless by some miracle she wins immunity). She's just so arrogant that I hope it's as humiliating for her to be eliminated as it was for Randy. That might be impossible, but ya never know.

Since I got my wish last Tribal Council, I'm going to predict (again, hope) that Crystal goes home tonight. As evil as Corinne is, I'd rather see her stay than Crystal. Not because I like Corinne, but because I think her presence will help Bob stay longer.

They are at a point where they have to think about who they could win against in a Final 2 or 3 (sometimes it's 2, sometimes 3, not sure which it will be this season). I'd rather go up against Crystal than Corinne, especially since so much of Corinne's alliance will be on the jury. I could see them voting for Bob, even after he pulled that stunt with the fake idol. You kind of have to admire that, even if you were never on his side. It's definitely "outwitting". That's how I would be thinking if I were on the jury anyway.

I just want Bob to win. The rest of 'em - nope.

Ok, a short little recap from someone would be greatly appreciated. I didn't worry too much about making this episode, I thought it would be pretty obvious who got the boot (Corrine), and she did... BUT why did Kenny vote for Matty? and Crystal voted different then Kenny? AND Corrine said she doesn't like any of them except Bob and Kenny... she suddenly likes Kenny...

I was a bit disappointed with the family member's appearance. Usually they actually get to compete in the challenge with their family...which is usually pretty cool. I also knew Jeff was lying when he said that the family wasn't there. I totally expected it when Bob's wife said "I've got something to show you". Why do you think they didn't do Exile? I know partially because the family members were there, and they gave everyone a chance to see them, but does anyone think it's partially because everyone left knows that Sugar has the idol, and they'd take the comfort and not bother? And speaking of Sugar + HII, I'm very curious why there's been no talk of blindsiding her. I feel she's a pretty big jury threat, since she's been instrumental in some big moves in the game. Although I doubt the rest of the tribe feels that way.

I think it will come out who did it. Kenny was being stupid. Anybody with half a brain would say to Bob and Corinne "Since you both have immunity, we'll pretend to stay with our alliance but please know that we're on your side and support you in voting for Matty" If Corinne had a real immunity idol and everybody on one side voted Corinne and Bob and Corinne voted Matty, Matty would still be out. Crystal played it smart.

Matty's proposal was cute.

ETA: It would advance Crystal if she told on Kenny and alerted the others in their alliance of his fickleness.

Short recap: Bob told Corinne that he made a fake idol. In order for their plan to work, Bob said that one of the two of them needed to win immunity. Bob did. Bob, trying to build an alliance with Kenny and Crystal, told them separately that he had the immunity idol that Marcus threw in the ocean, he showed him his fake one, and they seemed to buy the story. Except afterward, Crystal was skeptical. Their plan was to blindside Matty. Kenny and Crystal talked, and Kenny, thinking that Corinne had the immunity idol and was going to play it, told Crystal that she had to vote for Corinne at tribal, while he voted for Matty (I guess to make it more confusing as to who on their alliance actually voted for Matty?). This way, there would be 4 votes for Corinne, she would use the idol, no votes would count for her, and Matty would go home. But obviously it backfired, because Corinne never had a real idol to play.

Now... this entire plan was so incredibly stupid to me. First of all, Kenny and Bob both screwed themselves, IMO. Bob had a very easy time convincing Kenny to come over to his side, so why even mention a fake idol? While Matty is only a threat in challenges, Sugar is a threat at tribal council because she has the actual idol. Why not just have Kenny and Crystal vote to blindside Sugar? Even if Corinne was still somehow voted out, Kenny and Crystal could still trust Bob. But now, Kenny appears pissed at Bob for lying, and Crystal doesn't trust Bob, and possibly Kenny.

Crystal would probably be wise to leave Kenny in the dust, vote him and Bob out, and stick with the other three. She has more of a shot with them than she ever did with Kenny and Bob. And if the plan had worked last night, and Crystal, Kenny, Bob and Corinne were the final four, you know that Crystal would have went home next.

Fake idols aren't an option anymore, and Kenny is being exposed for who he really is. Not good for him.

No joke! Even if she caught on to the blindside, at least it would flush the hidden immunity idol out! Right now, she is cruising to a final 3.

What really makes me laugh is the fact that Crystal and Susie are still left. Seriously? Look at the jury compared to who's still in the game. Marcus, Charlie, Randy and Corinne must be so mad.

Not quite. Neither Kenny nor Crystal completely trusted Corinne (who certainly has never given them any reason to) or Bob. They wanted to "flush out" the idol. If Corrine played it and it was a real one, Matty was gone. But by Crystal voting for Corinne, if she didn't play it knowing it was fake, then she was gone.

Kenny apparently missed the part where Corinne said to him that the best part of the plan of the four of them banding together was that they wouldn't have to play the idol. He also forgot that if he and Crystal voted for Matty and Corinne's idol turned out to be real and she played it, Matty was gone and the idol was flushed out. If she didn't play it, they know she's lying and a threat is still gone.

I have to say I loved tribal council, seeing Corinne get voted out by those that she's been convinced she can contantly fool. There's an interesting interview with Corinne at RNO.

I think she's right, though, that it was bad move on Kenny's part. He and Bob need to be the next to go (if you're anyone still left except the two of them.) If Bob gets to final 3 he wins -- look at who is on the jury. That's why Crystal made a reasonable choice last night, even though she was wrong in saying Corinne wasn't a threat to her. Again, look who's on the jury. (Although looking who's on the jury, I don't think Crystal stands a chance of winning.) Matty and Susie should both be looking to take Crystal and Sugar to final 3. Maybe that's why no one has flushed Sugar's idol out; if Marcus, Charlie and Randy's interviews at RNO are to be believed, Sugar has gotten a really good edit. They and Corinne all describe her as very annoying. Maybe everyone is thinking she'd be good to take to final 3 because she's not liked?

I'm kind of surprised that Corinne said (in that interview) that Sugar had a fair edit. If that's the truth, she hasn't come off bad at all, as Corinne claimed. Whatever. Personally, I think Corinne is just.. a mean person.

But anyway... if Bob and Kenny are taken out next, and Matty makes it to the final three, I think he's won the game. No one has had a problem with Matty the entire time, and with the people who would be left, he'd be the one who deserves it.

I did get from Bob's reaction last night that he was really upset about the way the tribal counsel vote out had gone with Randy. Then to read Randy's interview that Sugar was on the ground laughing at him - NO CLASS! He may have been a jerk, but out and out ridicule like that reminds me of "mean girl" behavior in junior high.

Bob seems like such a nice guy, and after reading the interviews I have more respect for him for maintaining his integrity and real self among the jackals.

Oh, and I dislike Crystal intensely!! She is such a b*tch, and HORRIBLE at any physical tasks! And after reading that she took BOTH blankets that they won in the reward challenge - putting one on the ground underneath her and using the other to cover herself while the rest of the tribe froze- unbelievable!!! She is extremely selfish and self centered - YUCK!!!

Eaxctly why I think Matty, at least, should be trying to get Bob and Kenny out.

In watching the previews this week, they say that next Sunday is the finale. How are they going to get the numbers down to 3 before Sunday? There are still a bunch of people left on the show. Is there going to be a mass vote off?

I thought I briefly saw something about this the other day. Is there an episode Thursday, and the finale Sunday? They still have 6 people left. Someone clue us in, as I haven't watched this show in years and I forget how things work :o

Yes, a regular episode on Thurs. and finale Sunday. With 6 people left, there has to be some major twist to get the numbers down, but there hasn't been any kind of leak through the previews.

I think I saw part of last season's finale, and if I had to guess, they would get rid of one more person on Thursday. Then on Sunday, there'd be some challenges or something and they would eliminate two more before the final vote.

But again, I'm just guessing..

One person will get the boot on thursday... THEN sunday will have a regular episode where the fifth person will get the boot, leaving four... a competition follows for immunity, the fourth person is then eliminated, leaving final three, who go in front of the jury. The show then goes back to the states to announce the winner, and the reunion begins after a short commercial break. Sunday is a 3 hour ordeal.

Thanks for the explanation. I wish they could have spread it out over two weeks. It seems like there are getting to be fewer and fewer shows on tv that I look forward to.

I agree with this. For all intensive purposes, it really looks like Sugar is breaking down emotionally quite a bit, but I really think she's laying it on thick and playing a good game. And the "Take this cursed thing away" was icing on the cake last night.

I thought Crystal had lost her mind when she started yelling at Matty. First she was yelling about how they had brought him along in the alliance, then she was yelling about how he was never in the alliance, and I couldn't keep up with WTF she was talking about.


SOOOOOOOOO excited for Sunday!! Unless Kenny wins immunity, I think he's next. Kenny's still gunning for Matty, and Matty's going to be gunning for Kenny, since he's voted for him twice in a row. Sugar, Susie and Bob would probably be smarter for going with Kenny and taking out Matty (assuming Bob wins immunity again, otherwise, he would be an obvious choice - who wants to sit next to him in front of the Jury?), but I don't think they'll go that way.

I think we're set for a Final 3 (not 2), but the way things have been going, who knows?

Wow! Last night was awesome!!! Even my husband (who hates reality shows) couldn't stop watching and chuckled at how it all came out.

How about Crystal bitching about karma biting Matty in the butt - HELLOOOO! Karma got her instead!! And she deserved it!

I agree, Bob or Sugar for the win. The jury loved that move last night when Sugar gave the Idol to Matty.

This season has been great strategically and and with the blind siding!

Ahh! Someone tell me what happened, please?! :D

1. Camp decides Matty's next to go.
2. Kenny's mad at Bob b/c of last week and makes Bob tell him that he'll give him the immunity necklace if he wins.
3. Bob won the reward and brought Crystal and Kenny with him.
4. The 3 talked about sticking together, etc., etc.
5. Crystal comes back and lets Matty have it for no apparent reason.
6. Sugar gets up at this and tells Matty to stick with her and that they're going to get rid of Crystal.
7. Bob wins immunity (4th win in a row, or something like that) and Kenny reminds Bob of his promise.
8. Kenny tells the camp Bob won't give him the necklace unless everyone says they're voting for him (Kenny), and that they should all tell Bob that.
9. Sugar tells Bob what Kenny was saying. Told him not to trust him and to keep the necklace.
10. At tribal council, Bob does keep immunity. Sugar gives Matty her immunity idol.
11. Since votes against Matty didn't count, Crystal was voted off. Pretty sure it would have happened regardless of Sugar giving Matty her idol, but it definitely made her look good.

I'm still so fascinated by who's left. The fact that Susie is still there makes me think that her keeping on the DL as of late has helped her immensely.

Yeah, I can't believe Susie is still there. I also can't believe that Crystal made it all the way to Day 36. (Is that right? I think I remember her saying something in her booted-off clip about being just 3 days away from the final.)

The finale is going to be so interesting - the jury comments alone will be worth the time investment (isn't it like a 3 hour ordeal Sunday night?). Anyway, this has been one of the best seasons of Survivor in a while. It started out pretty predictable, but boy-howdy it sure hasn't ended up that way!

You can watch it on CBS.com. It would be well worth it. The actual nuances of how it all played out was really fun to watch and it was complicated.

Susie still being there is kind of a shock to me too. I keep wondering how???? The bottom line is, she's no threat to anybody, she doesn't fight with people and she does a lot of work around camp. She did win that fire starting challenge, remember?

I think it will be a final 3 that are voted on. I could see the 3 being Sugar, Bob and Matty.

I would like to see those three in the final 3, but if any of them have anything to do with deciding who they will be sitting next to, it would be dumb for any of them to pick the others. For instance, if Sugar gets to decide who she's taking with her, it would be in her best interest to take Kenny and Susie (based on who is on the jury and how they got there).

She (Sugar) did seem genuinely interested in having the "good people" progress, though, so maybe she would honor their goodness despite the fact that she would likely lose to them.

If either Matty or Bob wins, maybe taking Sugar wouldn't be a bad idea. But I still think Susie and Kenny would receive fewer votes than either Matty, Bob or Sugar.

With the booting of Crystal... Bob, Matty, Sugar and Kenny no longer have chances of locking a win in the final 3. Keeping crystal and systematically booking off everyone else buy Susie was any one of those four automatic ticket to getting the mil. Now, there will be two of them, so it will be more complex, no so much with Bob in the final three as he has four huge supporters on the jury already that will easily sway in his favor.

Bob seems like a good guy, and is clearly playing the game. However, based on merit, I think Sugar is playing an EXCELLENT game. She has risen as the person that decides who stays and go... all of her blindsides have worked... and she has been able to flip sides a couple times without getting caught.
