I just saw that commercial yesterday! It really does look like a cult robe, but still I found myself saying that 2 for $19.99 wasn't a bad deal....:p
|
Some ladies were talking about this yesterday and I thought about this thread. I couldn't hear the consensus whether or not they liked it.

Hey, feel free to enjoy the Snuggie inside the confines of your own home, domicile or cardboard box. I can see how it could have some utility if you are otherwise unable to regulate the temperature of your immediate surroundings, or if you somehow don't realize that the TV remote's signal will magically travel through most blankets. Plus, hey - who needs backwarmth anyway? It's not like my ass is leaving the couch tonight! At 2 for $20 it's not like you're breaking into the kids' college fund (I hope), and paying for quality is clearly overrated (unless we're talking about a handbag).
Just realize that most people look kind of like douche bags wearing sweatpants in public . . . and the Snuggie makes sweatpants look like finely-tailored Italian silk. Keep the Snuggie to yourself, Champ - take a few plays off. |

*Bump*
Don't throw shoes at me, but I wanted to get my mom a Snuggie for Christmas, but ran out of time. She is ALWAYS jacking up the heat and snuggled under a housecoat because she's so cold. So I'll wait and get her one for her birthday with the understand that if she EVER wears it outside of our home, I'm taking it back! |
I saw this online for the first time a few days ago....I seriously thought it was a joke....who would want one??? Does it get that cold up North that you Northerners resort to ugly blanket things???
|
So I finally thought of a practical use for the Snuggie. It would be useful to put on while I am cleaning my car off when it is snow covered and icy. It would protect my clothes when I'm reaching over to the middle.
Other than that, creepy. |
Cult robe? I wear mine to look like a Jedi!
|
I am trying to figure out if what my mom got everyone classifies as a snuggie. It is a blanket and zips up the middle half way and then you snap the top two corners down for sleeves.
Snuggie or No? |

OMG. For the first time I saw the Snuggie on TV yesterday. We were cracking up because both of my nieces wanted one. They both are "blanket people". Everytime you see them, they are wrapped up in a blanket.
|
I wish I had one when I had to put the cables on my car yesterday because of some idiot parking me into a snow bank. I'd have put it on, done my under the car yoga, took it off, washd it, then put it back in the car.
I bet the gray/blue wouldn't show much dirt and the fleece would stay dry. |
LOL at VandalSquirrel. You keep rationalizing it...I think you want one for reals! ;)
I was watching the History channel and the Snuggie commercial kept coming on. Part of me wanted to say, "That does seem like a clever idea" and another part of me wanted to say, "But, wow, that looks creepy". .....Kelly :) |
